Jared Cannonier, TKO, R4
I’m not a man for conspiracies or anything but drake betting 1 million on Adesanya is kinda sketchy with the curse and all so I’m a take a long shot and bet cannonier personally.

Izzy KO, R3
Cannonier is the less skilled title opponent that Adesanya has ever faced.
Volkanovski vs. Holloway III
Alexander Volkanovski, DEC
I think Max won the second fight, but also thinks Alex evolved so much since then, more than Max.
Strickland vs. Pereira
Poatan, DEC
Man, this is tough. but in my mind, if Strickland can defeat Pereira mixing things up, he can defeat Adesanya. But nobody thinks that he is able to defeat Izzy, so... Poatan will be in trouble, but he is bigger and better striker. Sean is not a Daguestani, so i think Poatan's TDD handles this. 29X28.
Lawler vs. Barberena
Robbie Lawler, DEC
Lawler locked bad af against a OG retired out of shape Diaz, but was not able to pull the trigger, Diaz quit (not hating him here). 29x28 here.
Munhoz vs. O'Malley
Sean O'Malley, TKO, R2
Munhoz could win this via grappling, but will not try to.
Riddell vs. Turner
Brad Riddell, DEC
This is the America's pick of the week. Riddell is a Top 15 contender, has faced better competition. Turner is good, but there are levels. Tarantula is huge and has crazy reach adv, but never uses this. Riddell will outclass him.
Cerrone vs. Miller II
Jim Miller, DEC
A bit harder than expected to pick, because i don't see Cowboy submited or Ko'ed here, and Cerrone is a better strikes, has nice kicks and knees, but i still with 2014's Cerrone, and we are in 2022.
Garry vs. Green
Ian Garry, DEC
I'm not in the hype train, but this is a "make your name, son" one
Tavares vs. Du Plessis
Dricus Du Plessis, KO, R1
Tavares lost to all fighters when they were a heavy hitter. Tavares only gets a W against mediocre fighters.
Hall vs. Muniz
André Muniz, SUB, R1
Armbar by Muniz
Eye vs. Barber
Maycee Barber, DEC
Another boring 30-27 with air jab + ground and sleep
Clark vs. Stoliarenko
Jessica-Rose Clark, DEC
A boring 30-27, but JSC will be facing some danger armbars attemps

Israel Adesanya, TKO, R3
I decided to go for TKO because that style of going for that ''one-punch'' or ''big combination'' can lead to Cannonier wearing out early against an Adesanya looking to hit and move. Obviously Cannonier has great KO power and I'm sure Adesanya will want to fight for sure, but a scenario where Adesanya gets a TKO similar to the one he got against Wilkinson (TKO by accumulation of strikes and punishment) doesn't seem unreasonable to me and I think that after two defenses that They have been cataloged by the general public as boring fights (personally I think that Adesanya tried to win safely, but clearly it is something not very entertaining on the part of whom the UFC mentions as his best draw within the current champions of the promotion), The Champion is almost forced to at least really try to get a highlight like his victories against Brunson, Costa or when he won the championship against Bobby Knuckles.
Volkanovski vs. Holloway III
Alexander Volkanovski, DEC
Max had a field day against Kattar, but Yair won the striking duel and Holloway was able to get the win because of his focus on grappling and ground in the second half of the fight. Volkanovski's striking has evolved enormously since the second fight, although T-City and TKZ are two matchups that helped see his striking for the better. The technical level, the number of weapons and the complementation of that striking with good wrestling and ground and pound is something impressive. Max is a striker with great creativity and good ability to make combos but that has been seen especially in fights like against Aldo 2, Ortega or Kattar where his opponents allowed him to be relaxed for much of the fight. But Volk, already realized that in the second half of the second fight against Max the constant pressure was a key factor and going into the clash by forcing the exchanges allowed him to prevail. A scenario where Holloway ends up knocked out is unlikely, but Max is a fighter who relies heavily on his great durability and excellent chin, but there is a possibility that both will fail after having so many wars in the past. Volkanoski is seen to have more KO power in his last fights: his ground and pound literally gave Ortega concussions like 3 times in the last rounds of the fight and the Zombie who is quite durable also took a terrible beating. Without a doubt, if Max gets confident he could suffer the same scenario that he went through against Poirier in his interim lightweight title fight.
Tavares vs. Du Plessis
Dricus Du Plessis, TKO, R1
Du Plessis started the sport really young, starting at welterweights, traveling outside of his native South Africa and gaining experience in KSW and European promotions. There is real growth as a fighter in Du Plessis and those things show up at times like big fights. Brad Tavares came to the UFC young and has managed to stay in the promotion for a long time, but unlike Dricus, he has never shown a significant evolution, Brad has practically always put the same thing on the table during his career in the UFC. Much is said about Du Plessis' style, calling it weird or unorthodox, but what I have no doubt is that Dricus has great KO power and knows how to take advantage of the spaces left by his opponents. Tavares chin was cracked in the past, the most notable cases were 2 really early knockouts of Edmen and Bobby Knuckles. Much is said about Du Plessis' cardio, but 100% completion is not always synonymous with bad cardio. IMO: Du Plessis will get a quick KO and after that he wouldn't rule out a UFC Event in Pretoria, South Africa in a Main Event against Jack Hermansson or Kelvin Gastelum
Eye vs. Barber
Maycee Barber, DEC
Maycee started with a wild style, he beat his opponents not by having a clear KO power, but rather by an effective volume of punches that allowed him to finish his opponents after hurting them and trapping them against the Cage (a strategy very similar to that of Paulo). Costa: Only that Borrachinha does have a good KO power (not a clear one punch KO power) and has gotten many more knockdowns than Barber)). But after her loss to Modafferi, Barber became a really low starter as evidenced in her fights against Grasso and Maverick where she started reacting late in the fight. Eye had a title run in the past, but her fighting style was to force a slugfest, beyond being really technical. Maycee despite having a background in Karate, she also has good basics of wrestling and grappling (more now that she trains at TAM) and a strategy similar to the one she used against Montana De La Rosa would be very useful to take a victory against Jessica Eye. Added to this I have always thought that it is a good idea to fade OF girls and this is the case of Eye, Barber for better or for worse has always been committed to her training and I think she will show it with a resounding victory tomorrow

1- McGregor vs. Khabib: Despite being much more popular at the time, Conor was the underdog and Khabib had a very clear plan to defeat him on the ground and by submission.
2- Masvidal vs. Covington: Jorge was practically a +400 underdog, coming off a tough KO loss against champion Usman and beyond the puncher chance (which he almost got in the fourth round), Covington had superiority in cardio and a clear plan to beat him with his wrestling.
3- Gaethje vs. DoBronx: This fight was much more even in every way, but after Gaethje's problems in the first round against Chandler, it seemed to me that Oliveira knocking down and submitting Gaethje was a mostly likely scenario (even more likely). after all the ridiculous trash talk of Justin calling Charles quitter for a fight that happened like 6 or 7 years ago).
The truly amazing case of the Drake curse happened outside of boxing and that was Anthony Joshua's loss to Andy Ruiz: Joshua was an -800 favourite, Andy Ruiz was a short-notice opponent due to Miller's suspension and the The fight began with Joshua clearly dominating, but well, Ruiz had his moment at MSG.
Outside of the AJ case, Drake has never endorsed another clear favorite until now with Adesanya. In my opinion Cannonier is the perfect rival so that Adesanya can get another highlight after his fight against Costa and that after that his fanboys can say that he left him frozen like Elsa (or some other of his forced and not funny one-liners) . But hey, if Izzy gets knocked out by Jared, that would be a real argument that Drake's curse is a real thing.
And at the end of the day I think that this is a type of publicity that Drake does to himself: of course he is losing money from his bank account (which after all he easily recovers with a tour or releasing an album) and a lot people will say that he is out of luck or a lot of people will say that drake doesn't ''jinx'' with his favorite fighters. But at the end of the day he's going to be in a lot of media and on the lips of all MMA fans, so bad publicity doesn't exist in that case.

Drake put $250,000 on Jorge Masvidal against Covington... credibility goes out the window right there + he bet $500k that Justin Gaethje would win against Oliviera..
