@RangerJW that's a good point regarding a Hooker kick to the ribs, but I don't think he'll get an opportunity. My guess would be that Tsaryukan plays it safe and wrestles him to a sub or dec

Volkanovski vs. Ortega
Alexander Volkanovski, DEC
I am back and forth with these two. I have a upset in the pit of my stomach. I am not a Ortega fan either? I love the way Alex follows up with a jab on his combanations. Id love to see Alex pulverize Ortega in two but this should be a long decision if Ortega can dig deep late.

Predictions: 11 of 13 Winners, 3 Perfect, 695 Points   |   Tied for 784th

Volkanovski vs. Ortega
Alexander Volkanovski, TKO, R3
I think Ortega definitely has a chance here, but at my prediction is for sure gonna be Volk by TKO in the third round. He'll just piece up Ortega until he gets a standing TKO or a doctor stoppage W

Shevchenko vs. Murphy
Valentina Shevchenko, TKO, R3
...

Lawler vs. Diaz II
Robbie Lawler, TKO, R1
Nick hasn't been there for awhile, he'll most likely be rusty and I think Lawler will take advantage of that and throw HEAT at Diaz the second the bell rings (like he did against Cowboy). Who knows though, maybe Diaz's chin will survive the early onslaught. If it does, then the tables will drastically turn in my opinion

Blaydes vs. Rozenstruik
Curtis Blaydes, DEC
Rozen is a DANGEROUS kickboxer knowing that, Blaydes will play it safe and keep top control to not let Rozenstruik even the slightest chance of escape. It'll probably be boring, given that I don't believe Blaydes will attempt much from on top. Rozenstruik wont have too many escapes on bottom so he'll just accept being under Blaydes for the entire fight. Though I also have this gut feeling Rozen catches Blaydes with a Knee or Uppercut as he shoots for a double leg against the cage.

Andrade vs. Calvillo
Jéssica Andrade, DEC
Calvillo is tough, so I don't she gets finished. I think this'll look alot like the Gadelha fight Andrade had.

Moraes vs. Dvalishvili
Merab Dvalishvili, DEC
Marlon gasses and Merab is an engine. Just a bad matchup for Moraes UNLESS he can defend every takedown in the first and finish Merab early.

Hooker vs. Haqparast
Dan Hooker, TKO, R2
Haqparast isn't too much shorter than Hooker but he does like to dip to throw some boxing combos so I have Hooker (who's a very good striker) read his movement and catch him with a Knee up the middle and the drop. I'm sorta rooting for Nasrat after hearing about his mother though.

Abdurakhimov vs. Daukaus
Chris Daukaus, TKO, R2
Daukaus has dealt with grapplers in the regional scene but his fight against Aleksei his last time out showed that he's fixed that. However Aleksei isn't much of a wrestler, so this might be different which is why, I think this is more even than what most people think

Modafferi vs. Santos
Taila Santos, DEC
Santos is the future of this division

Medic vs. Turner
Uros Medic, TKO, R1
Medic hasn't fought the best competition outside of DWCS and UFC (Which we're both extremely dominant tbf). Medic might have a hard time against Jalin awkward striking but I believe Medic will able to learn to deal with it considering how good of a striker he actually is.

Maximov vs. Roberson
Nick Maximov, SUB, R2
Maximov outgrappled a Heavyweight who was about 60lbs heavier than him on the contender series. Plus he competes in jiu jitsu alot, his grappling is amazing and that's usually where Roberson gets beat (I'll be it, against really good competition). If it stays standing, Karl easily wins but I don't think Maximov will want it stay on the feet and will shoot for a takedown really early.

Semelsberger vs. Sano
Matt Semelsberger, TKO, R1
Do I have to explain it? Sano is 4-2 and only in the UFC cos he's Nick Diaz's close friend. Yeah, the Jedi makes easy work of him imo

Morales vs. Pearce
Omar Morales, DEC
Morales has great striking and takedown defense. He outstruck Shane Young (a CKB member) and even took him down a few time. JSP is good but Morales is better IMO

Maximov vs. Brundage
Nick Maximov, SUB, R1
I meant to put Maximov by sub vs Roberson. It sucks that Roberson pulled out due to injury because at least he had a chance to beat Maximov. Nick is going to sub Brundage super easily. Brundage isn’t UFC caliber but at least Maximov is still fighting on this card.

Medic vs. Turner
Uros Medic, TKO, R1
Don't count Turner out, he's got some punches and StatPoints has him dismantling Medic.

Maximov vs. Brundage
Nick Maximov, DEC
Hey I think Brundage can put a lil fight up here. Roberson was toast and had no chance of winning because he has 0 ground game. Brundage is coming off a sub win showing he can wrestle with Maximov. Maximov UD imo.

Semelsberger vs. Sano
Matt Semelsberger, TKO, R1
Dude is getting starched.

Alexander Volkanovski, DEC
Close one.

Shevchenko vs. Murphy
Valentina Shevchenko, TKO, R4
Murphy or Sano? Who's more screwed?

Lawler vs. Diaz II
Nick Diaz, DEC
Diaz brother go brrrrr

Blaydes vs. Rozenstruik
Jairzinho Rozenstruik, TKO, R2
Knockout artist go brrrr

Andrade vs. Calvillo
Jéssica Andrade, DEC
As the duck said, Calvillo can pick Andrade apart at range. But I think Jessica can take her.

Moraes vs. Dvalishvili
Merab Dvalishvili, DEC
Moraes is not rusty but Merab has got some good groundwork. Depends on TD defense honestly.

Hooker vs. Haqparast
Nasrat Haqparast, DEC
Haqparast slightly outlands to UD.

Abdurakhimov vs. Daukaus
Chris Daukaus, TKO, R1
Shamil has been shot for years now.

Thanks duck, that was a good read. Our picks are different, and honestly I think Andrade is going to beat the living shyte out of Cavillo but I don't disagree at all your breakdown of Ortega vs Volkanovski. Volk is definitely going to chop his lead leg off, he's heavy on it. I don't think Ortega can fight out of MT stance. I reckon there's a good chance he takes a nasty low kick behind the knee throwing a spinning elbow too.
