Hooker vs. Haqparast
Dan Hooker, TKO, R2
I think Hooker is a lock, we've seen him against high level guys and he's taken some much needed time off. Haqparast is very good but I don't think he's quite on the level right now, I think he's gonna struggle with the calf kicks and the forward pressure. Haqparast keeps a high guard but you can punch through it and Hooker is so good at being relentless on the front foot. Also this being 3 rounds is even better for Hooker here but I think Hooker can finish this fight, Nasrat can get caught with some shots and I think Hooker will end it after a cumulation of strikes

Nope not touching that but Cassius Clay was a great boxer, R.I.P.
Think he did a weird mixed rules match to so he was a below average mma guy also.

Its not fair to compare Diaz to Ali because when your a champion in the 60's/70's its a much bigger platform then being a champion now.  Not many athletes have that where literally everyone knows your name.  maybe Lebron?  And Ali was extremely charismatic and spoke so many truths.. No athlete is vital like that now.  Its sad.  In mma we have Conor & Khabib who are pathetic politically.. At least Diaz says things like "everyone is on steroids" .. other big name fighters don't speak as plainly

Diaz kinda looked slow in the shadow boxing promo vid, might not mean a thing in the fight but it didn't look great compared to when most other fighters do it

Also can ortega and Tracy Cortez try and not act like some 10 year old kids 24/7 in the embedded, ******* cringe as ****

I hear what volk said about ortega always being late and unprofessional, ortega even admitted on embedded, also he just got that laid back attitude like if it happens it happens , not who you wanna bet on for a title fight, Ortega got great skills but volk is gonna make sure he wins this like he did with max twice, I know people hate him for beating max but it's not like he isn't good he's clever and knows what the judges are looking for in decisions

Moraes vs. Dvalishvili
Merab Dvalishvili, DEC
Moraes can be so dangerous in round 1 but I think Merab can weather that early storm and utilise his pace to just completely gas Moraes out. Marlon has cardio issues, like big time and with Merab's constant volume and striking I think Marlon's gonna be absolutely exhausted by the end of it so I think Merab can win a dominant decision if he survives early

You guys are still on this Ali vs Diaz thing?

Why is this even a conversation, i wanna blow out the rest of my 2 brain cells looking at this.

Gtfo, this is for UFC 266 not mumbo jumbo about politics; looking like some damn clowns right now. We have enough politics, we watch MMA to get away.

MMA fans can ***** about 'Robberys' too much. Just because you don't agree with a decision don't make it a robbery. I score the second fight for Max, But it not like scoring the fight for Volk ain't equally valid. MMA fan also don't know the scoring criteria then ***** robbery.  Also it not Volk fault the judges gave it to him. I think MMA fan can be the worst when guys Dustin Poirer  and Anthany Smith are sick of his ****

Also robbery rarely happen in MMA. maybe 2-3 in the UFC a year

Just due to the lack of underdogs for my picks and these forums never let me down lol.

- Gimme Lawler DEC, Diaz physique scared me; He looked so good in his return photos. Now he looks like a bag of milk in perfect artificial lighting.

- Gimme Brundage DEC, Maximov couldn't submit a mid 30 y/o on Contender Series who was submitted by a 11-12 fighter. Brundage should be able to scrabble to his feet and hopefully win the standup.

Maximov vs. Brundage
Cody Brundage, SUB, R2
There's always underdogs in fights that get a new opponent and immediately become the favorite? I personally thought Roberson was going to style on Maximov and I think Brundage has looked really good other than a loss to a very strong William Knight.. I think Brundage wins inside the distance in this one.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 10 of 13 Winners, 5 Perfect, 695 Points   |   Tied for 830th

Shevchenko vs. Murphy
Valentina Shevchenko, TKO, R1
In MMA with 4 oz gloves anything can happen, but clearly Valentina has much better striking and KO power, a more effective wrestling and ability to cause more damage on the ground & pound, she is younger, better cardio, more experience In fighting 5 rounds, she is sure to be superior in many other aspects as well. Murphy's opportunity is to honor her nickname, achieving from the ground some scramble that allows her a back control or a transition to armbar. Valentina will probably fight on her feet throughout the first round looking for the moment for a Highlight Knockout like against Jessica Eye (she will probably get it before the end of the first round or at the start of the second).

Moraes vs. Dvalishvili
Merab Dvalishvili, DEC
This fight on paper may be anyone's guess: Marlon has the striking and KO power to catch Merab and finish him off at the start of the first round, but probably after the middle of the first round he no longer has the considerable energy to pull it off if Marlon it launches with everything at the beginning. Dvalishvili has a great level of wrestling and probably once he gets the takedown he can work to dominate Moraes during the 3 rounds. The best chance for Marlon Moraes is to look for a counterattack and have the sprawl to defend the takedowns, but the pressure from Dvalshvili seems like it will be too much for Moraes.

Modafferi vs. Santos
Taila Santos, DEC
Taila Santos has improved a lot since her first fight in the UFC, since added to her striking level she has considerably increased her grappling after the Mara Romero Borella fight, dominating a grappler like Gillian Robertson on the ground in her last fight. Modafferi is the kind of underdog that cannot be taken for granted as in the past he has given considerable upsets, but stylistically this fight reminds me of Modafferi against Eubanks, besides the injuries and being close to 40 years are factors that put up Roxanne's upcoming fights in the remainder of the contract within the UFC.

Medic vs. Turner
Uros Medic, TKO, R1
Uros Medic grappling skills are a big question mark, but I don't think Turner is the fighter who demands it the most in this regard, since "The Tarantula" is mainly a striker and he practically only makes submissions after hurting his opponents. standing. Medic knockout power is a real threat to the division, as he is a powerful kickboxer capable of hitting the head and body with punches or kicks. While Turner has the height and reach advantage, I think that may even be an advantage for Medic to work body shots from the start of the fight.

Morales vs. Pearce
Omar Morales, DEC
Morales was a national kickboxing champion in Venezuela in his youth, in addition to having a very good wrestling background. Pearce could be successful with the volume of strikes and try to find the TKO in the last round, but Morales is simply a fighter with many greater weapons such as his leg kicks, punches, control time in wrestling. Morales was only beaten in his career as a professional by Giga Chikadze, a top 10 and one of the best kickboxers in the UFC in a fight that took place entirely on standing. This fight would be the ideal test to discover if Morales is already fully ready for 145 pounds and if he wins he would get closer to a fight against a top 15.

Might just be worth a bet that Murphy survives 5 rounds and it goes decision , Valentina is winning but I might bet that it goes decision see if the odds are good
