UFC 266: Volkanovski vs. Ortega

Tsaryukan can win that fight with an injury or not, he's on a different level entirely. I hope they make that fight because the odds on him will probably be reasonable since it's short notice.

Tsaryukan is a beast, but if I were him I wouldn't wanna eat a Hooker kick to my injured ribs. That'd crumple even the toughest people.

Curtis Blaydes   vs.   Jairzinho Rozenstruik

I think Rozenstruik is a live dog here, but I'll not be picking against Blaydes despite him not having lived up to my expectations for him.I still have hope, it springs eternal.

There's a great prop running on this through my broker though: Blaydes on points @+325. I can absolutely see Rozenstruik surviving given that Curtis is more of a control grappler than he is a sub artist. Very good value line.


Alexander Volkanovski   vs.   Brian Ortega

People are imbuing the KZ fight with more significance than it warrants IMO. That was a very poor performance by the Zombie and he was not anything like his best during it. He did get hurt hard early too, and fought tentatively the remainder of the fight.

Volkanovski is still far and away a better striker than Ortega, and he is going to hit him a lot. He is also the far better grappler both offensively and defensively, and Ortega has literally no chance of taking him down. Brian has always kind of been a comeback guy, and he capitalises on his opponent's mistakes, exploiting them superbly. A lot of those wins have been by sub. Won't be easy to do against Volk as his error rate is very low and he has a neck like a paperweight.

I dunno. The way I see it Ortega has a very slim path to victory. He's tough as **** so I'll take Volkanovski by dec. If he really has his way with him on the feet it could end somewhere between the late 3rd and 4th.

Maybe the weight thing was plot to **** Robby up and make him slower during the fight. Robby admitted he showed up to Vegas under 185 already. so now he's just going to eat what he wants lol not a great idea fight week. 

Cut Nick Diaz, he's one of my favourite fighters, but as a person, he thinks the whole ******* world revolves round him and everybody should do what he wants. Robbie is a man, never makes excuses, never has, always comes to fight.

Honestly, I think the weight thing isn't a big deal. I was actually happy that Robbie took it at middleweight because that relieves the fighters of the pressure that comes with making weight. I'll bet anything that both of them are stoked not to have to cut weight and will be in a better headspace going into the fight. These next few days, instead of worrying about their weight, they'll be worrying solely about technique. I completely expect them to put on a show for all five rounds.

As a fighter, Robbie really does have the best outlook. Hell, as a PERSON he has the best outlook. You're silly-dumb-stupid if you don't respect this man.

Unless Diaz had some kind of body altering surgery there is no way he benefits from 185 more than the ruthless one.
He was clearly overweight in the silva slap match and got pulverized last few rounds not stopped but think silva went easy on him.

I say Robbie Lawler is the best bet on the card. I'm confident In Lawler espacly after the news about Diaz. I got Robbie Lawler at dog odds. Robbie just got outwork by fight with crazy output. Robbie power is still their and he still like fighting. Nick Diaz is doing the fight for the money at this point. Nick Diaz is getting **** up

Betting on Lawler-Diaz is like betting on an all star game or something. You have no idea who’s gonna show up, and in what way. We have no idea where Diaz is at anymore, and what we know about Lawler is not great. Might as well take that money and put it on a Triller fight.
