Agree with much of the analysis.
If Max fought Tony i think it would be close to a pickem. Maybe two to one if the odds are more true.  Just a crazy
Imagined scenario in my humble opinion.

Max will not get submitted by most fighters on the ground. I believe he is good enough to prevent that and survive.  Most likely against dustin. And less likely but against Tony.  He cant survive khabib. No one can. Khabib has the chin. Unless he gets stunned or rocked or koed he aint losing to sub or dec. In that sense. Amongst all of tony dustin and holloway southpaw power of dustin with his bjj has best chance.
Then tony cause hes el cu cuyu or loca.  Still think khabib beats him easy after his last fight with connor.  Before that maybe tony has a small punchers chance and then maybe a little more in a grapplers chance.  Btw i do favor dustin's opportunistic bjj against tonys unpredictable one.  Against khabib dustins top game is mute. So he has to ko him. Tonys bottom game has better chance. Just because khabib isn't bjj. His wrestling. Sambo. And judo background he probably wont be submitted by most people. Maybe even now older damian miai. Ortega with youth and speed and a lucky chance may have the best chance.  I dont see anyone submitting or knocking out khabib.
Anyway. Max is  a bad matchup for Holloway. Similar in style Max has better foot work than Dustin. I believe justin has.more power than dustin and perhaps better cardio. Strikers need better footwork. Dustins only advantage is his south paw stance but max will be prepared a a sprinkle of power. But Holloways chin is still underrated. He may have the best chin in history.

Thanks for reading . i really like Holloway.  Id Still take him with reservation over Tony. But .Good striker with unreal chin vs unreal grappler. U have to favor khabib.  If holloway fights khabib if will be a blemish to his legacy. If he by chance wins. Hell be the greatest fighter to ever be.

Watch the fight where style bender fought a sloppy dude. Out pointed him and then got layed the f out by a sloppy i believe left hook slash straight slash slap. I like gasteulm by literally a punchers chance. But he is better cause he just needs one. If Gas takes a shot to dish one out its over. Even silvas jabs stunned the style bender .Gas in 1st or 2nd round. If he makes it a real fight style bender gonna get exposed.  Dumb comparison but i think wonderboy on a good day beats style bender.  Whittaker still demolishes both.  Esp style bender. Gas has a better chance .Imo

Styles make fights. Izzy and Anderson are two outside counterpunchers who use a lot of in-and-out movement. That fight was always going to be slow and technical. Kelvin is literally the opposite. He marches straight forward with his chin down. He's not afraid to take a few punches to land that one bomb, he doesn't really employ a defense. This is where his boxing is severely overrated. Jacare (who was complete gassed) landed some head snapping bombs in that 3rd round. The lack of head movement Kelvin showed in that fight is concerning, especially with a sniper like Israel. If he lets Izzy hit him like that he's legit ******. Kelvin is also giving up 9 inches of reach, against arguably the best distance management in the ufc. Not saying he can't win, but it's hard to see him closing that gap without taking signifcant damage. Kelvin still has that fat Mexican skull, so I'm going Izzy 49-46.

@bjj3tkd4kendo5 if your referring to when izzy got caught and ko'd in that kickboxing match im pretty sure his opponent is or was a world class champion. Everyone gets caught sooner or later.

@survivingcardib thats a myth. Styles don't make fights fighters make fights. Bruce lee proved It.
Mma proved it. Its not the style it's the man...... or woman.

In my humble opinion kelvin gastelum is not a champion caliber fight.

Max via 3rd round submission (front choke)

I think he is better in fluid combination striking exchanges. They go at it hard early, Max has the better gas tank leaving a tough 2nd round, Dustin shoots in desperation somewhere in the third and Max snatches the neck and chases it into a mounted guillotine or something of the sort.

People are severely underrating Max via sub in this fight. 15:1 is absurd.

@ freemoneyforall

Agree. I cant pick this fight.  Esp at these odds. Gas should be 2 to 1 or 2.5 to 1 imo.  Height and reach advantageis ridiculous. Wonder if anyone won with those specs. Never was a gas fan. I remember his fight with a resurging ellenberger.  Always rooted against him.  But Izzys arrogance is annoying. This is the first time im.rooting for gas but.more like against gas.
Amazing kickboxer or not. I like to think izzy would lose a real scrap against gas. Gas can only take him down and ground and pound. Maybe a rear choke. Small chance.
Most of the time i throw things out that probably isnt fact. I just expect people to correct me . i am no expert just cant see gas winning by tko or gas winning by dec . draw???  This may be a quick fun fight or the mist garbage fight on the card. Gas definitely not championship caliber. He would have lost to rob. And then i guess izzy with his win to anderson would have got rob. Max and dustin can be looked down upon but this fight is definitely co.main garbage. Imo. Izzy vs jacacre? Toss up. Romero?  Hmm .Kelvin in the pic with the interim belt its all odd.  Bruson wasnt that level either.  Unassuming rob might be khabibsworst matchup. the eagle has luck on his side. Hes not ducking on purpose but ends up dodging some tougher fights.

Predictions: 8 of 13 Winners, 3 Perfect, 475 Points   |   Tied for 252nd

Holloway vs. Poirier II
Dustin Poirier, TKO, R4
don't get me wrong, because dustin is clearly a top fighter, but i think his whole streak is a little overhyped. pettis was in tailspin and justin/eddie simply couldn't resist the brawl. wasn't so long ago he himself got put out by mj. max has become a superior range fighter and he won't be helpless on the ground this time.

Gastelum vs. Adesanya
Kelvin Gastelum, SUB, R3
kelvin is a smart fighter, he knows what issy is good at and where he leaves openings. his chin has always been solid and his wrestling always underrated, i think he's gonna expose adesanya on the ground and maybe even tko him there.

Anders vs. Rountree
Khalil Rountree, TKO, R1
i think khalil is getting written off because of the walker ko, but his main deficiency is his grappling and anders isn't likely to be able to exploit it. khalil has more power and is the more technical fighter and i expect that to show.

Jouban vs. Grant
Dwight Grant, DEC
i keep doubting grant, but he has a lot of power and his cardio is decent. initially felt like alan would be able to play the range game, but he's actually the smaller guy, so i'll say there's a changing of the guard here.

Krylov vs. St. Preux II
Ovince St. Preux, SUB, R2
i don't think nikita has really fixed his defensive grappling yet and he's far too willing to risk position in pursuit of a finish. osp is inconsistent, but still totally viable in terms of durability.

Turner vs. Frevola
Jalin Turner, TKO, R1
turner could have a fun ufc career, frevola probably doesn't last too much longer. doesn't mean he's incapable of surviving r1 bursts.

Reis vs. Pantoja
Alexandre Pantoja, DEC
pantoja just has the better all-around skillset i think. hoping to see some fun scrambles.

Griffin vs. Imadaev
Max Griffin, DEC
this new russian dude has been straight up crushing guys on the regional circuit, but nobody impressive. max has only been tko'd by colby and that was on the ground, i'll take the underdog and say he outlasts zelim.

Salmon vs. Taha
Boston Salmon, DEC
always feel like the guys off dana's show get set up with winnable fights, but i really don't think salmon is that great so this one might be closer than expected.

Muhammad vs. Millender
Curtis Millender, DEC
i think people underrate siyar's and zaleski's grappling because they're strikers and i don't think belal is going to be able to pursue that sort of wrestling gameplan against curtis, i think he'll get stuck playing the outside game.

Jackson vs. Soukhamthath
Montel Jackson, TKO, R2
no way to ever bet on andre after watching him get out-punched by a one-legged hype machine. jackson gets another showcase.

Botelho vs. Mueller
Poliana Botelho, DEC
striker vs grappler, i'll take the girl they didn't have to pad with dobson.

Costa vs. Davis
Brandon Davis, DEC
has anybody actually looked at who costa has been fighting? debuts and sub .500 records. walking through them, sure, but davis hasn't been (t)ko'd so i'll pick him to outlast a regional crusher.
