Not very excited to see Assuncao fight for a belt.  But if it's against Dillashaw they've got a good rematch storyline.

Yea, me either. Has looked good enough to win, but not good enough to make me interested if he fights for the belt.

I think in order to grant Assuncao to ability to just sit out and wait for a champion, he should of had to finish Caraway. Just like Macdonald finished Saffiedine, I think he should get to sit out and wait for the winner of Lawler/Hendricks.

Plus who knows when Cruz/Dillashaw will be. Probably not until Feb or March as the co-main of the Weidman/Belfort card.

Don't protect Assuncao either. Have him face Iuri Alcantara instead of waiting.

I agree that Assuncao-Alcantara makes the most sense by far if he does fight again during the wait. Think Assuncao should handle him easily enough and if he doesn't he didn't deserve the shot.

I'd rather see Cruz fight Dillashaw next, and so would Dana
