Predictions: 8 of 12 Winners, 5 Perfect, 525 Points   |   Tied for 357th

Prelims kick off on UFC Fight Pass at 630pm ET followed by four televised prelims on FOX Sports 1 at 8pm and the Pay Per View main card at 10pm.

Two titles, a high-steaks heavyweight fight and some nice match-ups down the rest of the card should hopefully make for a solid night of MMA.

Faber wasnt moving. I like the stoppage. Heard Yamasaki explain the rules to Overeem before the Browne fight. He said "If you're hurt and your covering up, but you arent moving, I'm gonna stop it." Improve your position, dont give a thumbs up

Faber is a class act. Promoting his teammate for the title instead of himself. Class for days.

The refs job is fighter safety though, not "can this guy take more punishment." Dude was dropped 3 times was flat on his belly and then taking copious hammer fists the the temple. Sure he had his hand up to partiallymblock them but, I see nothing wrong with stopping it.

All controversy aside, you can't take anything away from Barao. When was the last time you saw Faber get rocked twice in the first round?

stoppage was good for me.
A thumbs up is not intelligent defence.
there was no fighting back, no attempt to improve position, no attempt to shut down the offence, no attempt to dynamically avoid the strikes.
He was taking unanswered shots without making an attempt to defend himself, you dont need to be unconscious for a tko

In the alcantara fight Faber was on ***** street a lot worse than tonight.

I actually am okay with the stoppage.  When told to do something giving a thumbs up is not doing something other than acknowledging you heard me.

Herb Dean's the best ref in MMA, but I think he made a mistake calling the stoppage. Faber was intelligently defending himself by blocking with the left hand and holding Barao's leg. Punches to the glove, forearm, and shoulder doesn't warrant a stoppage.

@trevpicks Its hard to blame the ref when they're trying to protect the fighters, but some of these judges are making horrible decisions lately... all they have to do is enjoy watching the fight and score it for the winner.

Not an early stoppage, Faber had nothing for Barao, he would have finished him later on.

Best of the night.
- Trujillo's KO and his fight against Varner.

Worst of the night
- Overeem and Mir. Both fighter in bad streight, and they didn't do a decent performance.
- The judges. They screwed up all night. But scores and bad decisions. They changed their oppiniont in the event.

Faber lost, he had nothing for Barao. Thumbs up aren't a way to intelligently defend oneself.

***DISCLAIMER: NEW TO MMA AND TAPOLOGY***

I felt that Barao was going to win because he was able to respond well to everything that Faber threw at him.  At the same time, I was still rooting for Faber...Not because he is one of the most attractive fighters in MMA...Okay, maybe that influenced me a bit...

I agree with you, I picked Faber because he doesn't look like Jens Pulver's Brazilian son.
