Poirier needs more of a test imo, should be a good fight, but if he wants a title fight any time soon this isn't the way 2 get it...

Getting completely destroyed by Zombie set him back a tad.  I think this is a good match up for him at this point.  If he gets by Brookins (depending on how), he's maybe a fight or two away from being right back there in the mix.  You got Koch up there, Frankie up there... still has Mendes haning out.  One loss in that division once you're a contender sets you back at least two fights.

This should be ALL Poirier. I think he finishes in the second, or it goes to a dominant decision for Dustin.

We all need to be careful to not underestimate Brookins. He's been counted of fights that he's won in convincing fashion, and Dustin is coming off of a very disappointing loss to KZ. The questions here are, has Poirier gotten over that defeat and forgotten about it, or is it still looming in his head? How much has Brookins improved from his last fight? Is he really ready for a top 10 fighter like Poirier? I honestly think that this should be Poirier's fight for the taking, but Brookins is the gambler's underdog. This should be a really good fight, and if Poirier wins, then it should get him back on track to getting a title shot in 1 or 2 wins against some top 10 opposition, but if Brookins wins, it would be a huge setback for Poirier, and a great win for Brookins.

Brookins has done nothing but struggle since tuf so unless he has seriously gotten it together since his last loss, he is in for some more struggles

Brookins is a lot better than his UFC record. He just hasn't been getting lucky draws yet.

Conflicted on the Poirier fight. Brookins can easily get this by decision through wrestling, but Poirier is the much more well rounded fighter.

Poirier, if he follows his own Grispi gameplan, should take this. Brookins is a better wrestler and they both have good subs so Dustin should look to keep it where he has a clear advantage.

Kalibo, I thought the KZ/Poirier fight was FOTY so far so I wouldn't say he got destroyed.

With the ease that KZ took him down, i see brookins doing the same.
