That's what I'm thinking, lol. He's a scary man but we don't know much aside from watching his 5-second knockouts, at the same time, Parisian is **** bc he lost to Martin Buday, but it's not bad losing to the GOAT Parker Porter.

Well consider this. Parisian is actually the younger fighter by a year (34 to 35) and has been an MMA pro for working on 10 years were Despaignes started in 2022. 3 of Despaigne's 4 opponents were making their pro MMA debut and never fought again, his fourth and latest opponent was 1-0 and also never fought again. I watched a few highlight reels I could find and at least a couple of them looked like they literally found a bum on the street.

I tried to read up on Despaigne. Apparently he took Olympic Bronze in Taekwondo 12 years ago as well as the bronze medal twice in the Taekwondo World Championships 11 and 9 years ago respectively.

I have no problem picking Despaignes by first round KO, it's the most likely outcome. I'm just wondering who these people that like to burn money for fun that are betting on Despaignes at this line are. I would like to contact them and ask them to donate their money to a more worthy cause, such as donating it to me for example.

If Despaine was fighting anyone else I agree with you, But Parisian might be the worst heavyweight on the roster. Friend don’t let friend bet on Josh Parisian

I’ll wait to Despain fight someone who isn’t just a 6 foot 4 mound of lard with no talent of fighting

You don't have to bet on either guy. But if you bet on either it should certainly be on Parisian.

I was gonna make a joke how Josh was gonna whoop this guy but it is a real possibility.
Guess we will have to see no bet for me thank you.

Harry Hunsucker & Jared Vanderaa shared the top spot (at least in my mind) for worst heavyweights in ufc the last 2 years before getting the boot, now Parisian has kinda taken their place by default.

If he survives the 1st round onslaught of Despagne and wins then he could be the track to no longer having that reputation, we'll see

yeah I did watch that video. I don’t know how much I trust it because he’s probably salty and biased since Petr actually not just beat him. But dropped him too. I just don’t like how aggressive Petr looked , and I think Song, got into his head. Song will KO him.

I feel like the majority of people's opinions of the JDM/Burns fight and BSD/Poirier fight are reversed of what they should be. JDM is the fighter that struggled his last two fights and is now fighting a guy a level above what he's faced and probably isn't ready to handle it. BSD is the guy that has yet to struggle and is fighting the aging vet that has sadly slowed down and is coming off of a bad KO loss. The only caveat is that Burns didn't look like himself in his last fight either. However, if that was solely due to the shoulder injury and he's back to being the Burns of the past few years, then I'm confident he will win.

I put Phillips, Barber and Yadong in the same category as JDM. They haven't been dominant enough against the level of fighters they've faced to beat someone in the next level. I put Almeida in the BSD category, as he has yet to struggle with anyone.

O'Malley vs. Vera II
Sean O'Malley, DEC
Sean is the better fighter. Simple as. He can strike with the best of them. Some of the best timing in the UFC. He can wrestle if he needs to, and has slick jiujitsu. I think for Chito to win, he needs to come out fast, put the pressure on Sean. I just haven’t seen enough evidence to suggest that he will. His last showing against Pedro was very disappointing i thought. Chito can be a very frustrating fighter to watch. He’s got great striking, but waits for the perfect shot too much and ends up being inactive. And still, in this one.

I actually think it should be a O’Malley KO but Vera is very tough and could have enough power in those counter strikes to keep it at bay. O’Malley is far better and more aggressive striker.

Kyler Phillips at -225 is a little too high for me. I've been pretty pessimistic about Munhoz's career trajectory, but he did beat Yanez pretty easily and had a very close fight with Chito. I don't think Phillips is ever going to compete for the belt while Chito is in the championship fight now. I still think Phillips beats him, but I don't think there's going to be a concrete winner for this fight. Munhoz also probably beat Barcelos, Phillips last opponent, pretty decisively at this point
