What worries me for Poirier is that when Chandler would blitz towards him, Poirier would walk backwards in a straight line and end up getting double legged which BSD also does. And while BSD is a weaker wrestler than Chandler he's much more of a submission threat.

It feels weird that Robelis is fighting so early in the card, unfortunately, there will not be a very loud crowd but at least I get to see it

Main Card Predictions

Predictions: 9 of 14 Winners, 5 Perfect, 600 Points   |   Tied for 3176th

O'Malley vs. Vera II
Sean O'Malley, DEC
I am begging for Chito to derail the Suga show. But I'll stick to reality and assume Sean will point fight this one then call out Ilia.

Poirier vs. Saint-Denis
Benoit Saint-Denis, TKO, R2
BSD goes to the body, drops Poirier's hands, goes to the head. Still rooting for Dustin but this may be the changing of times within the LW division.

Holland vs. Page
Michael Page, DEC
I think MVP is just far more focused and driven as a fighter. Holland is a crowd favorite more so due to his carefree personality than his fighting style, which is still fun as well. But I'm going with Page looking to prove something, especially at this point of his career. I've seen some takes that this will be a boring fight, which I do not believe it will.

Burns vs. Maddalena
Maddalena, DEC
Burns is the ultimate dawg. Taking this fight just continues to cement he's an "anyone, anytime" type dude. I'm not super confident in this pick at all, but I'm going with Jack grinding this out in a dogfight. Wouldn't be surprised by a split decision. The blue collar rumble of the card.

Yan vs Song
Song, DEC
Very unconfident with this pick. A straight standup fight, Yan's experience seems like the obvious move. My rationale is Yan is coming off a loss skid (whether some where deserved or not) while Song is coming off wins. Song also has intel on Yan, training with Faber. I have no idea at the end of the day, not a fight I'd be willing to put money on.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 9 of 14 Winners, 3 Perfect, 590 Points   |   Tied for 3433rd

O'Malley vs. Vera II
Marlon Vera, TKO, R1
Fluke R1 TKO after perennial nerve kick. (we live in a matrix)

Poirier vs. Saint-Denis
Dustin Poirier, TKO, R3
Peahead TKO, Flucas Glazy will hold the L.

Holland vs. Page
Michael Page, TKO, R2
Holland should win based on his opponents, but he just sounds like he doesn't want to champ; MVP has everything to gain with a win against Holland during the twilight years of his Career; it's gonna be good.

Burns vs. Maddalena
Gilbert Burns, SUB, R3
I know burns never gets subs now-a-days, but I can just see JDM taking an ill advised Guillotine, leaving himself vulnerable for a back take or just have Burns lay on him.

Yan vs. Song
Petr Yan, TKO, R3
Song looked great against Simone, but... I still think Yan could arguably still be 1-2 in his last 3. He arguably beat O'Malley and only lost to a cardio god in Merab, and the worst guy to have on your back in Aljamain. If Song has a chance to beat Yan, now would be the time (or when he's old); but I think Yan with his back against the wall will bounce back.

Blaydes vs. Almeida
Curtis Blaydes, TKO, R2
Curt boxes his face off, actually skilled on escaping and getting a fight to the ground (in comparison to any other Jailton opponent).

Cerminara vs. Barber
Maycee Barber, TKO, R3
Youth and skill is on Barbers side, simple as that.

Gamrot vs. dos Anjos
Mateusz Gamrot, DEC
Gamrot has the rage of being a backup for Islam only for Volk to take it from him, on the bright side if RDA keeps losing he might fight Connor.

Munhoz vs. Phillips
Kyler Phillips, DEC
I almost forgot Kyler existed, but after re-watching his previous performances I think he wins this and enters the rankings.

Pereira vs. Oleksiejczuk
Michel Pereira, TKO, R2
MW Michel is a mythical fighter.

Lins vs. Cutelaba
Ion Cutelaba, TKO, R2
Cutelaba comeback SZN!

Despaigne vs. Parisian
Robelis Despaigne, TKO, R1
If this ends any other way then I will be disappointed.

Vergara vs. Almabaev
CJ Vergara, DEC
Kazakhstan hype train fade always works (not really but that Inner G pick got me feeling wise).

Wood vs. Moroz
Maryna Moroz, SUB, R2
Wood is 38, Moroz is 32. It's WMMA and the Wood sub fade has served me well so why stop?

Vergara vs. Almabaev
Asu Almabaev, SUB, R2
I was thinking of parlaying Asu. Until I did my research. Should he win? Yes. But for such odds it's too risky. If Asu can't get takedowns(which has happend before) and he's forced to strike, he really has work to do. If Vergara stars stuffing his TD's, Asu is in a world of trouble on the feet, then he'll resort to panic TD's and has a possibillity of gassing. CJ is no bum, if he keeps it standing momentum in the fight will change tremendously. As a striker CJ is better. Just saying

@Gentry
Your concluding statement was "idk how Barber can beat someone with this much exp". She did just that when she beat Robertson. That is what relates the 2 fights. Beating Robertson also most certainly speaks to your grappling ability. Katlyn hasn't gotten a finish in 8 years. I'm going with Barber.

final predictions

Predictions: 10 of 14 Winners, 6 Perfect, 675 Points   |   Tied for 1584th

moroz gets the takedown and finds the rear naked choke wood has terrible tdd and sun defense

Asu will get the back and get the choke out CJ

robelis ko under one minute

Lins win streak dies here Cutelaba can take this one to the ground and finish it

michel dances around the cage weaving all of the opponents shots and landing enough strikes and maybe a takedown to win the fight

kyler has o’malley to explain how to beat pedro if he makes it out of the first round i see no problems here

i have no idea what to say here i hope gamrot has a terrible performance i’m tired of his flukey wins and it would be cool to see RDA get one last big win 95% won’t happen

barber actually lands strikes

Jailton is next contender you will all see blaydes is a journeyman

petr finally gets on track winning all 3 rounds in a close chess match

burns is old and JDM is a big ww he will break burns with the jab and hit a combo  with burns against the cage to end the fight

i think the mvp holland fight is gonna be boring with both of them being gun shy it’ll be a weird split decision

idk why i have a weird feeling BSD chins dustin quick dustin was getting rocked by chandler

i think chito has an alex pereria moment and comes alive in the last round or 4th and finishes a sort of gasses o’malley

Robertson is mid af, shouldn’t use it as a reason why Barber beat Kaitlin, Chookagain is way better then Robertson, Chookie has been around the top of Women MMA for about a decade now, Robertson is barley ranked

Also, Robertson is a Jiu-Jitsu nerd, completely different fighter style to Kee Yah Girl
