It would be much smarter of him to mix his grappling and striking, but if the fight with Chimaev he took on a days notice and the Wonderboy fight indicates anything, he is never afraid to take any risks.

MVP has an advantage the longer the distance between them and the slower the pace because I believe he is faster than Holland, especially at closing the distance, but he has less output than Holland.

Holland can have success without mixing in grappling if he can keep the pressure on, make MVP work hard and make sure the pace and output is high. It requires him to keep moving forward though and not being too cautious about it.

Top 6 toughest fights to predict on this card for me
1. Almeida/Blaydes
2. Lins/Cutelaba
3. Holland/MVP
4. Poirier/BSD
5. Burns/JDM
6. Yan/Yadong

I feel like any of these six are 60/40 fights at best

Katlyn Vs Barber

Predictions: 9 of 14 Winners, 3 Perfect, 550 Points   |   Tied for 4248th

I see why ppl are choosing barber for her reputation of being an inside fighter. But I honestly can’t remember a fight of hers where she showed the grappling ability needed to handle someone like Katlyn. From what I remember it was a pretty close fight against Andrea Lee, she couldn’t hold her down and I don’t remember the last person that’s been able to hold Katlyn down.
She slapped Andrea around a bit but she also took some good shots too, Katlyn sometimes looks a lil slow on the speed side to me; but what she does has lasts throughout 3rds. On the other hand Barbers cardio lasts also too, for some reason it’s just hard for me to picture her really hurting Katlyn. The only way of victory I see for Barber is her dragging Katlyn down against the fence all night as Katlyn gets right back up so Katlyn doesn’t get any shots off.
Idk, I don’t see how she pulls out a W against someone with this much experience.

@SANGRES
Gaziev vs Rozenstruik, Malott vs Magny, Pennington vs Bueno Silva, Bonfim vs Dalby too. There's been a bunch of upsets in vet vs prospect matchups recently and there's a ton of those matchups on this card. These vets aren't going to just roll over and let this new generation steamroll through them. I guarantee we see at least one hype train derailed on this card.

Petr Yan, TKO, R3
Yan for the win as Jesus Christ is by his side.

He's great and all but blaydes is a different breed. So far, he's only lost to power punchers.

Gamrot vs. dos Anjos

@DCpredictions
Don't be scared - Robelis fought Miles Banks (4 Kos in Ammy, 1 Ko in pros) and he clipped Despaigne FIRST before getting KTFO. Had zero effect on Despaigne

You gotta understand that Banks is 6'8" with an 83" reach, so he is also packs serious power.

Parisian doesn't hit as hard, and in Robelis' first fight he showed that quick evasion footwork, he'll be harder to hit in addition to his long reach

I mean she showed some tdd against a bjj player that’s just about her same size? Doesn’t really relate to fighting Katlyn..
Gillian didn’t seem totally in the fight either, probably would be a loss still but would like to see her run that back with a bit more confidence.

One thing I notice with MVP, when he fights better people he usually fights a lot smarter and a lot less flashy, His 2 best win being Douglas Lima and Paul Daley being  his most boring fight by far

Interested if he does something similar and try and win instead of exiting the crowd

Predictions: 8 of 14 Winners, 6 Perfect, 600 Points   |   Tied for 3327th

Pereira vs. Oleksiejczuk
Michel Pereira, DEC
I see Michal being the aggressor in round 1 - Pereira is a bit of a slow starter and looks more to circle his opponents and shoot out body kicks and explosive punches. The big question in this round and likely the whole fight will be how well Pereira is able to move out of the way of Michal’s punches. Pereira’s defense comes mostly from his good footwork and head movement but he gets stunned when landed on by welterweights - I’m worried how he’s gonna respond to punches landed by Michal. If it gets to the second round, Periera will likely be more aggressive. His issue here is that while he’s effective at landing very significant strikes, he’s not the best at following them up for a finish. He often goes low IQ when he thinks he’s near a finish and ends up getting hurt himself or just losing a position. The upside for him here is that he’s been tough enough to not get finished himself and win decisions on damage. Dustin Jacoby won a decision against Michal by out kickboxing him and I can see Pereira doing the same.

Vergara vs. Almabaev
Asu Almabaev, SUB, R2
Asu should be able to handle the pressure from CJ. Asu is a sub machine and goes to dec. quite a bit. I think he can take CJ out in RD2/3.

Wood vs. Moroz
Maryna Moroz, SUB, R2
Retirement vs Onlyfans. Cant bet on this fight. Moroz subbed her in first matchup.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but my favorite vets on this card are Poirier and Munhoz. BSD hasn't fought anyone close to Poirier's level. Poirier may not be elite anymore, but he's still very good. And I think Munhoz is a bad stylistic matchup for Kyler. Kyler tends to gas as the fight goes on and Munhoz is going to constantly walk forward and not give him a breather. Both of those vets may lose round 1, but should come on strong in the later rounds.

I agree & Katlyn can make just about any matchup look the way she wants. Haven’t been a fan but her resume tells me she’s going to make this look as wonky as possible & set herself up for a decision win. Katlyn is completely frustrating & that’s what I’m counting on.
