All good. That's fine. I was just commenting on what you said, so no worries.

I don't know if O'Malley is good enough to be a champ either. He hasn't been tested yet. Munhoz will be his first real test imo. I'm more confident saying that Paddy will never be champ. I don't think that would matter to him anyways. Since he's making bank without fighting.

Since old boy likes to constantly talk about pick percentage, let's talk about pick percentage. I've picked 226 more UFC fights than him, yet my percentage is sitting at 57% while his is a blistering 58.1%. That's a whole 1.1% and if u picked another 226 fights that number is dipping way under 57%.

Btw on the previous debate about Du Plessis vs Tavares, I hope you don't mind if I join the conversation and add my thoughts. I have watched a lot of both of them and I think it's a very very close fight. Which is why everyone has a different opinion.

In regards to Du Plessis, he is a grappler first with a very good pass game and aggressive chained submissions. If he gets it to the ground Tavares could be in big trouble. But getting it there is a problem as Tavares has some of the best takedown defence in the division. I can't see him catching Tavares in a guillotine.

Striking, I actually give the edge to Tavares who is more technical and has better boxing. And if you watch Du Plessis you will see he has good counter striking, good leg kicks with both legs but his entries are wild and he rushes forward throwing long strikes but with his chin exposed. His striking defence looks very suspect. The issue there is he seems to have a good chin and I don't think Tavares has a lot of knock out power to put him out.

If you look at strength of schedule Tavares wins hands down, he has been in the UFC forever and has fought everyone. Du Plessis wins are not that good in the UFC. But as Ayy points out outside the UFC he has some very good wins including Soldic.

Overall I think this is mainly going to be a striking battle. So who is the better striker? if volume was the winning criteria I would give it to Tavares. But if damage is the criteria then Du Plessis. For me what strikes me is that Du Plessis has a lot of power and Tavares has been knocked out a few times before.
Even the head kick loss to Edmun Shabazyan he got rocked with punches first.

So overall leaning to Du Plessis by knockout. But it's very close.

Please let me know what you think of my analysis 🙏

And of course blind fanboi rants how Khabib beats GSP John Jone DC and Superman in one night.
No matter what is happening its fun and entertaining and one of the more laid back forums.
I look forward to reading your posts, just type what you think someone will appreciate it.

@shinobi great analysis 👍 I agree with those points. I haven’t gotten to any tape yet for this card so my pick may change but I’m leaning du plessis atm. I think his power could end up hurting Tavares like what we saw against Edmen. If this gets extended, this could get ugly for Dricus because I don’t trust his cardio all that much
