Cruz - "Kenny stop copying and pasting"

That was awesome haha.

Pettis better think of a better game plan for wrestlers. To think that just a year ago some people said he was unbeatable.

I don't get why Benson of all people could do nothing to Pettis with his wrestling but Pettis seems to struggle with it against everyone else. He even looked mediocre in the Stephens fight when it became a takedown competition.

You puss boys talk **** when Condit plays running man, but when Cruz does it, he's somehow a God, **** off. Wonder why this site is dead, the same 10 hypocrites on here make it unbearable.

You're dumb as **** and bad at picks. This site isn't really "dead" at all but you leaving would probably improve it.

Look at you getting sensitive. What does me picking who I want to see win, have to do with Cruz running around trying his best to not engage? He controlled the center of the octagon for maybe one minute out of 25.

Sensitive? You're the one whining about the whole site because you're mad that Cruz won a fight by outstriking and outwrestling his opponent since he didn't stand in the center of the Octagon(not a real or good criteria for judging) and let Dillashaw punch him in the face.

Cool down, boys. It was a close fight, but Cruz wasn't running. I've been a fan of his for his whole career and now can admit some of his older fights he played a bit too much of that game. He countered TJ throughout the fight last night.

Anyway, thought this was interesting. Lot of fighters starting to follow Conor's lead and determining their value to Zuffa, whether or not they're free agents:

Shaheen Al-Shatti ‏@shaunalshatti  6m6 minutes ago

Cruz: "I want to sit down w/ Dana, I want to sit down w/ Lorenzo & talk about some money. That's what I want to do."

Off the top of my head, we've got:

Four known fighters entering free agency: Bendo, Sterling, Overeem, Mitrione.

One with one fight left: Poirier

Three champs that seem to be calling the shots, or pushing back toward UFC: Conor, Holm, Cruz

Also, wanted to respond to the claim that Cruz never controlled the center of the Octagon.

Octagon control has nothing to do with where you are in space in the Octagon ... if that were the case Machida would be seen to be losing every single fight before the decision. You can have Octagon control by causing your opponent to chase you on the outside and miss. Cruz is a master of that.

I'm aware, it's more of a sign of aggression, as far as I know that is scored. If everyone fought like Cruz it would be a snooze fest. Apparently I can't say what I think about a fighters style, on a site that I thought was meant for exactly that.

Mayweather boring, too? Does he also suck and run like a *****? Even though the point of boxing it LITERALLY to hit someone the most while getting hit the least. So, technically, he's a master. But okay.

And no, of course not. You'd probably cripple me in a real fight. You clearly know a lot about the art of fighting. So I will resort to constant downvotes until you eventually get fed up by it and leave. Cuz I'm a real man.

Cruz didn't run... He goes in and out, create angles and dodge the Dillashaw punches. Running is like Guida vs Maynard or Overeem vs Dos Santos.

Ok, cool. When fighters all start doing nothing but circle and wait to counter and we start seeing rounds ending in single digit punch counts, at least I'll know that there are fans out there that like it that way.
