I'm guessing this is Dana's way of telling fighters on the show that a fight on the finale isn't a given unless you actually get there ... If you suck on the show, you're not fighting in the finale.

I mean, how many more fights are there going to be on the card? The finale itself and another fight tops, no?

If so, I think it's a good call. When you get fighters talking about fighting in the finale during the show without showing any urgency to actually earn it, it'll be a rude awakening to some of those guys who think the sun rises out of their asses ...

The main card is pretty stacked, it's gonna be a nice day full of MMA. The other TUF final from Australia is on the same day only earlier I think, also with a nice main card.

Can't wait...

I agree, the card's great, just couldn't help noticing the lack of fighters from the show on it (which, given the level of guys this season is a fantastic thing) ...

And by the way Dana's been pissed off at these guys I'm thinking it's not a fluke that we already have 11 fights on the card without the season ending ...

I guess we don't get to see our "favorite" fighter, Julian Lane fight in the UFC after all ;)

Yeah, that happens when you put on 2 shows every year, for 8 years straight. Where is the talent suppose to come from ? They should take a step back, only make one show a year but with better fighters on it.

I think it's also due to the UFC expansion... since they've got much bigger rosters now, all the good prospects come straight to the UFC which leaves 2nd and 3rd grade prospects for the show ...

Rumor has it that season 17 has upped the level of competition (at least according to Chael P. Sonnen)...

I think they'd be better off having a flyweight TUF because there's a lot more good talent that hasn't already been snagged by the UFC (maybe USA vs. Japan?) ... I guess with the show in urgent need of life support they couldn't risk putting on a flyweights show with a Japanese coach (even their top names like Hioki or Gomi aren't enough top sell TUF to the masses) ...

Anyway, I know that with JBJ and Chael the MW/LHW weight class made sense, but still ... flyweights could have been awesome ...

Are both TUF finales really on the same day? If so that is awesome.

Never thought I would see Mitrione headline a card, I understand its the main event because Roy was a coach but imo Barry/SDR, Poirier/Brookins, and Varner/Guillard are more main event worthy

@JM Ricci is sick. Colton Smith is an ass. He thinks his wrestling is the MMA equivalent to discovering ******* penicillin. It's one of the poorest seasons talent wise in a while and he's in for a rude awakening when he hits the UFC.

All I know is, I'd rather cheer for a confident fighter who somewhat keeps to himself than a ****y wrestler that pretends to touch gloves but shoots in for a takedown instead.
