Predictions: 11 of 14 Winners, 5 Perfect, 700 Points   |   Tied for 1143rd

O'Malley vs. Vera II
Sean O'Malley, TKO, R3
while i'd love to be wrong, i feel like omalley has improved significantly over the past few years whereas marlon has grown more inconsistent. maybe said inconsistency leads to an upset, i'd be down.

Poirier vs. Saint-Denis
Dustin Poirier, SUB, R4
i can see the "changing of the guard" type angle here, but i'm willing to take the chance on dustin's high level experience edge and the fact that benoit lost the only decision he's seen.

Holland vs. Page
Michael Page, DEC
not sure kevin gets to implement a perceived grappling advantage and i think i favor page in the striking.

Burns vs. Maddalena
Gilbert Burns, DEC
feeling like gilbert will find some td's and those are fights that he wins.

Yan vs. Song
Yadong Song, DEC
i think peter tastes the power early and then has trouble finding his entries to shut down song's counters.

Blaydes vs. Almeida
Curtis Blaydes, DEC
maybe jailton lands something big in r1, but he's gonna have a hard time bullying curtis once the range closes.

Cerminara vs. Barber
Katlyn Cerminara, DEC
odds feel off to me. maycee is gonna need to crash in hard and find consistent td's, if she allows chookagian to fight her pace she's gonna get stuck at range. i guess it's an age thing?

Gamrot vs. dos Anjos
Mateusz Gamrot, DEC
dos anjos could win this if he forces a kickboxing battle, but i'm just not sure he'll be given the space.

Munhoz vs. Phillips
Kyler Phillips, DEC
probably a tepid fight, and that pace could favor munhoz, but i'll say phillips can control distance and win on volume.

Lins vs. Cutelaba
Philipe Lins, TKO, R3
either ion lands something big early or he's gonna get tired going for td's that historically have not been there against lins.

Pereira vs. Oleksiejczuk
Michel Pereira, TKO, R3
chidi is a decent win, but he was coming off 2 losses and michal's other recent wins (brundage/alvey) are unimpressive. feels like a battle of who can control their aggression better and pereira should be up to the job considering he won't have to worry about getting taken down.

Despaigne vs. Parisian
Robelis Despaigne, TKO, R1
completely possible that parisian finds a r1 td and just breaks robelis, but it's not his strongest facet and i'm not willing to risk the pick on it.

Vergara vs. Almabaev
Asu Almabaev, SUB, R2
cj has shown that his power can change fights, but i'm not confident that he'll make the most of his opportunities to use it here and will probably end up getting taken down.

Wood vs. Moroz II
Joanne Wood, DEC
looks like i'm taking a bunch of chances this week. was a fun start to the year but it's gotta come down eventually. gonna be a battle of how often moroz can threaten with td's and i'll say jojo can control range thing time?

Burns vs. Maddalena
Gilbert Burns, TKO
You guys really think Burn is gonna lose in Florida? Huge experience jump for JDM

Pereira vs. Oleksiejczuk
Michel Pereira, DEC
1 unit bet on Michel Pereira straight bet. Wins via KO/TKO +200 .5 units After watching tape of these guys I have a feeling Pereira is going to land a head kick knockout here.

Vergara vs. Almabaev
Asu Almabaev, SUB
Assu Almabaev wins via Submission +175 1 unit Verga gets smeshed.

Predictions: 7 of 14 Winners, 6 Perfect, 540 Points   |   Tied for 4618th

Holland vs. Page
Kevin Holland, DEC
Fight will probably stink, MVP freezes up against good fighters and think he's come to the UFC too late

Burns vs. Maddalena
Jack Della Maddalena, TKO, R1
Think burns is past it, and will really struggle with the jab of JDM, if it hits the ground it could be trouble for JDM though

Blaydes vs. Almeida
Jailton Almeida, TKO, R1
I don't think Blaydes will react well to being the nail here, Jailton will be much faster here and i think thats going to really kill Blaydes.

Cerminara vs. Barber
Katlyn Cerminara, DEC
Chookagian is always criminally underrated, Barber will be more physical and could replicate what andrade did, but think those two are a different level of physicality, still not completly sold on Barber and think Chookagian should be able to just outpoint and outjab. Mental stuff for Chookagian is concerning though.

Gamrot vs. dos Anjos
Mateusz Gamrot, DEC
Think back in the day RDA would be a really difficult test for Gamrot, but in 2024 think Gamrot just keeps busy and wins a Decision.

Munhoz vs. Phillips
Kyler Phillips, DEC
I was on Pedro for a long time, and still can see him taking over, but i think Phillips is that style Pedro always does well against but still loses, think itll be a boring fight either way with neither being able to get their offense going.

Lins vs. Cutelaba
Ion Cutelaba, TKO, R1
its Cutelaba, he always has the skills to beat his opponent and an old Lins is someone who I don't see being able to withstand the first round, if he does he could take over and finish late even, dont think Lins is that much bigger and the people Cutelaba has lost to recently are normally long lanky guys (Walker and Kennedy)

Pereira vs. Oleksiejczuk
Michał Oleksiejczuk, TKO, R3
I keep going back and forth between this fight, they are both bad matchups for eachother and i could see Michel outpointing and keeping Michal at bay, but the main thing with this fight is its going to be infront of a stacked crowd who will probably be fresh of Robelis scoring a crazy KO and i see Michel getting caught up in the crowd work, gassing out and Michal stalking him and battering him late on.

That is a nice video on Olek you dragged up there. I did like you and translated the comments and they all seem apprehensive/negative about what he said about his training in that video.
I will move my estimated win probability for Pereira from 62 to 63%.

I still have one fight to cap, cutting it close on this one. It's a shame I will be away for parts of the card, I think there will be a lot of live betting opportunities and I will miss some of them.

Old, taken a lot of damage (shoulder entirely destroyed against belal), used the remainder of his prime fighting 3 times in 5 months, and terrible style matchup (burns is a great striker but JDM on another level from a technical standpoint, also jabs completely shut burns entire game down)

Poirier vs. Saint-Denis
Benoit Saint-Denis, TKO, R3
I love that this is 5 rounds

Holland vs. Page
Kevin Holland, DEC
This might go exactly how his fight with JDM went

Burns vs. Maddalena
Jack Della Maddalena, DEC
Don't think JDM will KO him after seeing the Chimaev fight

Munhoz vs. Phillips
Pedro Munhoz, DEC
Pedro has only lost to the top of the top, hard to bet against him here

Despaigne vs. Parisian
Robelis Despaigne, TKO, R1
Don't think it will be within 10 seconds or anything like that but he'll just hit Josh so many times he'll just fall

Vergara vs. Almabaev
Asu Almabaev, SUB, R2

Predictions: 10 of 14 Winners, 5 Perfect, 665 Points   |   Tied for 1767th

O'Malley vs. Vera II
*VERA*
O'Malley will begin to gas in championship rounds and Vera will catch him with a hook and put his lights out in R4. 🙈

Poirier vs. Saint-Denis
*BSD*
Saint-Denis will get a good read on DP in R1 and BSD will go in for the kill with another shin to temple ko in R2. 🙉

Holland vs. Page
*MVP*
There will be some good exchanges between the two of them, but ultimitely MVP will catch Holland with a flying knee in R2. 🙊

Burns vs. Della Maddalena
*BURNS*
Burns will prove to everyone that he is still one of the most resilient fighters in Welterweight division. JDM still needs more work to be in the top. Burns by decision. 🇧🇷

Yan vs. Song
*YAN*
Fight of the night potential. Yan is going to fight like a bat outta hell. He will take Song into deep waters with his boxing and will edge out a decision win. 🇷🇺

bro would could possibly be more important than this card where you will have to miss some fights?! lol my Wife knows I'm unavailable during UFC events unless it's an emergency (she loves my passion for the sport and supports the time I invest in it)...I even make all my plans around UFC events lol at this point my whole family knows not to try and schedule anything with me on Saturdays until they've checked the fight times lol you want me at your wedding? Don't plan it during a UFC card, simple as lol

I hit a full card parlay last event and I didn't feel that confident about my picks either, so that's not always a bad thing - for proof you can go to my IG @SFCBEITZ...this card felt very difficult to predict as well. There's always at least one upset each card that is hard to predict. I had a feeling last weekend Zahabi would be one of them and everyone laughed at me lol

That's 10 months ago, he looks recovered, seen no issues from footages AFAIK, now obviously if he pulls a Dillashaw v2 that's different but he looks dialed in and took his camp pretty serious, id argue the 1 year off has been the best thing he has done in his career. Opinions are opinions and everyone can think differently, i'm just finding it extremely hard to fade burns, especially against jdm.
