This card is pretty bad too tbh, not sure if it even deserves me placing bets on it.

I'll earn enough to buy a new BMW thanks to my boy Ankalaev in a couple weeks, I already made my appointment at the showroom.

I'm personally looking forward to the Topuria/Bryce fight though

@pasta something tells me schnell is gonna force him to fight. Kind of like when he fought korea or smolka. Should be a dominant performance. I also don’t see schnells chin holding up; he doesn’t protect himself and his chin just isn’t good imo

@ayy exactly, in nearly every fight he gets hurt or KOd. He doesn’t give up or anything but some people have chins and some don’t. Unfortunately he wasn’t blessed with a good chin

Above average for a fight night couple aged out and out of their depth guys and girls but not bad at all.
This type of card is liable to over perform big time RDA getting in the W column with relative ease.

Has anyone factored in the wrestling of Sergei? He has a Greco Roman background and has spent this camp at ATT, which is very grappling heavy in their gameplans nowadays. Sergei has yet to use it in the ufc, but I’ve seen him use some wrestling on the regional scene and it looks solid. He was also a Greco wrestling champ in Europe (take what you will from that). Tai’s takedown defense is basically non-existent so that’s a path to victory for Sergei if he wants. We could also see him use it if he gets hurt. In a fight that seems evenly matched on the feet I like that sergei has an alternate path to victory

I've had similar thoughts. Pavlovich has to know that Tai has the power to melt him at a moment's notice. I think he'll get back to his wrestling roots to make this easier. If Derrick Lewis can take Tai down and hurt him, I have no doubt that Pavlovich will do worse.

Yeah my one issue is that pavlovich doesn’t really control anyone from why I’ve seen, but he has the wrestling in his back pocket. Can’t really rely on him to control tai but I could see him getting 1-2 takedowns, making tai worried of the threat and then mixing in feints to mess him up

@rah yeah that’s true but a gust of wind can knock tai over. It’s not like I’m relying on him to wrestle but just knowing it’s in his back pocket is something to account for. I actually did a deep dive of all his regional fights and found his gas tank is pretty solid. Although he did gas badly against bags agaev, but that’s the only fight he’s had cardio issues so I assume he’s fixed it. Not that it really matters cuz I doubt this fight leaves the first round
