Why is Islam still a betting favorite if the public is on Oliveira?  Even here on Tapology most are on Oliveira and most of the prediction videos on YouTube are on Oliveira.  The line should have already shifted to move Oliveira as a favorite or at least a "pick-em" at this point.

While people say Islam fought only cans from outside top 10.... in my humbled opinion Oliveira's wins are not against real top5 guys. Gaethje and Chandler do not belong to top5... Poirier maybe yes.

Who did Gaethje beat? Chandler? Tony? Cerrone? cmon

top5 guys are Oliveira, Islam, Beneil, Gamrot, Tsarukyan and Poirier. Rankings will change soon.

so your qualifications for being top 5 are solely based on resume... and you have Arman in your top 5... and Arman's best win is Joel Alvarez... uhhhh...

I think Sterling subs Dillashaw, I'm on the Sterling side as TJ is 37 years old, I fell like if you give Sterling long enough time on the ground, He will submit you at some point, I don't think Sterling can beat TJ unless he gets it to the ground for a large portion of the fight

Sterling by sub is +450, I like that, It's a close fight tho,

Islam is betting favourite because Charles is fan favourite but most people aren't irresponsible enough to actually put momey on him.

Nobody cares about your feelings. The current top 5 is Gaethje, Poirier, Chandler, Islam and Oliveira. It doesn’t matter what your opinion is or what you think, this is a cold hard FACT.

@Daebak, I'm not sure if that's the case. I think a lot of money is already on Oliveira. But I will tell you that I study line movement in certain situations in order to help me choose potential winners in all sports.  For MMA, last weekend, you saw how Randy Costa's line never shifted to become a massive favorite (-300 to like -650 or more) as more money came on him?  And what happened?  He ended up losing.

Now compare that to someone like Soddiq Yusuf or Umar Nurmagomedov or whoever where their line just explodes from -200 to -1000 right before fight time.  99.9% of the time that fighter who's line spikes like crazy wins.

Anyone else surprised by Petrosyan record fixing? I think if the matchmakers had known he faked a fight then they wouldn’t have put him on the contender series to begin with

I don’t think it matters because Petrosyan is a beast but I didn’t take him as the type to do that. Regardless, he should win this fight

He had a fight removed on his record because it was found to be a fabricated fight. The 15 second ko against an 0-0 guy that allegedly happened before his dwcs appearance never happened

Ohh, okay.

I don't really get how and WHY they are doing these things. I remember Askar Mozharov before his first(guess last too) UFC fight faked his record to 29 - 5 something, turns out his record was 17 - 12 actually.

Tsarukyan went draw with Gamrot, he would ragdoll Gaethje

I don't mind the pick Damien. Dillashaw is a good grappler in his own right, but come on it's Aljo. I'll be sweating whenever they're on the ground

"Gaethje and Chandler are cans." Well that's a hot take if I ever saw one. I do believe the next generation of Lightweights has a lot of advantages over both, but calling them cans is ridiculous. Gaethje has really only lost to the best and Chandler, while overrated IMO, is still pretty good. Your sense of proportion is way off on this one.
