curtis blaydes reminds me a lot of corey anderson. very good everywhere but only real loses have happened because of his chin. corey will beat nemkov soundly, i truly believe that, but thats for a seperate discussion. curtis only losses were to the 2 biggest hitters in the ufc. daukaus dosent one shot people. its a combo that usually gets him a ko. i actually think curtis can outstrike daukaus. and the bjj black belt that is talked highly of on the daukaus side, the dude has zero subs on his record. a lot of people are black belts dosent mean there high level(thiago santos, jared vanderaa). also curtis not getting subbed.

This is the issue with Chris his whole career, he is one trick pony (Leg kicks) and he didn't face a great striker like Danaa. Chris doesn't throw hands. Danaa is just few levels higher with his striking, his hand speed and power. Danaa gets an early KO

Yeah I don’t believe Curtis’s chin is as bad as people make it out to be. The first Ngannou loss was a doctors stoppage and the second was only a tko. The only really bad one he’s had is Derrick lewis. That probably will make his chin worse in the long run but he’s still got a decent enough chin

@JREYNOLDS47 - I agree he fought couple boxers like Vince and Andre Ewell, but they are not at the level of Danaa. Vince and Ewell allowed Chris to pressure them and gave him space to throw those leg kicks. I don't think he will be able to pressure Danaa and walk him down without getting tagged with straight jabs. Mark my words, Chris won't see the punch coming and going to sleep.

In my opinion Daukaus has gotten the push by the UFC too early. His fight with Lewis was his first against a serious contender which ended in him getting knocked out quickly. Even though first round KOs are Lewis' thing, I believe the psychological impact of being knocked out in his first big fight will take a major mental toll on him this fight. Blaydes has much more experience in these bigger fights. I think that the fight could result in Blaydes TKOing Daukaus deeper into the fight; somewhere in the fourth and fifth round territory. I may be getting tunnel vision because of Daukaus' embarasing loss to Derrick Lewis and relative inexperience in main events, I guess we will have to wait and see. I'm going to wait to hear what Chael Sonnen has to say about the match before I lock in any predictions. I think he offers a more unique perspective on the sport than these other commentators.

Chael is the last person you want to consult when split on a fight lol. He got every main event wrong for like the first 15 events last year

His predictions are usually off, but I think he brings up some interesting things to think about.

Damn I hate it when I misjudge the mma betting gen pop. Have 2 units on France at +228, he's now moved to +275 at Bet365. I guess he cleared that hump to where once a line gets wide enough every parlayer comes out of the woodworks and hammers it down even further.

@gliese58i - Yeah brother, line is def getting wider here but imo Askrov is durable on the feet (only trouble I saw him in tape study was against Moreno) and levels above on ground. I think Askrov strikes for a min or two and then clinches against the cage and hunts for Takedowns. Askrov by Dec seems like the most probable path in this fight.

what royval and bontorin were able to do against kai gives me confidence in askarov. everything ive seen from him is impressive, cardio, pressure, the pure wrestling. Hes got better wrestling then royval, better cardio then bontorin. kai has a punchers chance but i think this one plays outs like the askarov vs benavidez fight did.

idk I really rate kai's tdd. its sitting at 87% currently and on the tape ive seen, hes quite good at stuffing and honestly has some underrated grappling. One thing I really dont like about askarov is his tda is pretty bad at 27%. yes, he gets fights to the ground but hes pretty inefficient at doing it. I think someone with as good tdd as kkf could cause some problems. I also really think kkf is underrated in terms of grappling; hes been able to get out of some pretty nasty situations on the ground with relative ease. im taking a shot on him here

I can’t bet in my state sadly, but if I could I would definitely throw cash on Kai. The line is juiced because of Russian bias. Kai may not win but he’s way better than +250. He’s never been wrestle ****** by anyone so I think it’s a good shot

I'm also in the boat of +225 to +250~ is value on KKF to me.
Easy bet/s to make imo, are taking Kai ML and Askar by decision on separate slips (or single bets), and see how it goes.
I could see Askar getting clipped as every round starts on the feet and as Lmao said, Askar's TDA isn't very good and I'm pretty sure Kai knows what to train and work on in this camp, making it possibly even harder for Askar to take him down.
This fight will prove a lot to me for both fighters, depending on who implements their game better than the other.
