I see Marvin finishing what Brunson has started. No more games, Kevin.

After what Brunson did, Vettori should have no problems finishing this fight within 2-3 rounds

Allen vs. Yusuff
Sodiq Yusuff, DEC
the best fight on this card and the future of the FW division. I'm leaning slighty more towards Yusuff but it would not surprise me if Allen shuts him down completely

How can you not respect Kevin Holland. I mean, the guy is an arrogant clown and annoying a hell, but his fighting spirit is beautiful. Will that be enough to win against a well rounded and tough as a rock top 5 Middleweight ? Absolutely not, but it saves the card, and it should be a fun fight that makes it for the Brunson débacle. I'm a Holland fan again.

Id have to disagree with the people going for Vetori one of the reasons being i hate his italian meatball guts and i  have the feeling that Holland learned a few  things in that fight i mean he rocked brunson hard at some points its just his takedown defence really needs to be unproved on which he has a little time to do but this fight just seems like a standing fight especially after seeing Vetoris last fight

Vettori vs. Holland
Marvin Vettori, TKO, R4
Holland's style is fun and cool and it most certaintly can catch anyone by surprise, but it's just not going to work very well against someone who is confident in their chin and has good top pressure. Brunson, and before him Stewart and Allen, wrote a solid blueprint on Holland. 1.) Stay safe and don't come in wild 2.) Let him burn his energy doing his flamboyant movements 3.) When Holland get's impatient press it to the cage or get a double leg. 4.) Wet Blanket 5.) Repeat until Holland get's tired enough to tap or get TKO'd. If Holland by KO/TKO is +400 I'll consider betting it, but this should be a free style points fight for Vettori. But, Holland deserves his shine, he's not fake and he definitely isn't putting on an act, dude will fight anyone, anywhere, anytime. So thankyou Holland for saving this main event lol.

Allen vs. Yusuff
Sodiq Yusuff, TKO, R1
You know the UFC brass had to make this fight. Two streaking contenders who have very similar statistical results against somewhat similar style opponents. The casual perspective going into this fight is that Allen has the busier hands and better defense (true) while Sodiq has the power and speed advantage (also true). However, I think this is going to boil down to a war of attrition and I give Allen the edge in cardio, especially if he can keep his head movement sharp and make Sodiq miss a lot of shots. The main worry I have is that just looking at this by the numbers, I actually rate Sodiq's lower Slpm and Striking defence against far better competition. Allen has faced a lot of high output guys who wing circular shots (Lentz and Melendez come to mind) but not a lot of people with the crisp boxing of Sodiq. My "stats" method tells me Allen wins this, and whenever I say **** it to the numbers I usually get the pick wrong, but once again I'm gonna say **** it and pick with my gut.

Alvey vs. Marquez
Sam Alvey, DEC
Yeah, I did it. And I'll ****** do it again.

Miller vs. Solecki
Joe Solecki, DEC
It's going to be a wild time trying to submit Miller, but I think Solecki has a decent chance. I'm interested to see what that line comes out at. But I think Hubbard beats Miller, and Joe Solecki much to my surprise beat the absolute breaks off of Hubbard. I mean MMA math would mean that Joe's a better grappler than Mark O. Madsen lmfao. Here is a quick breakdown of how I think this fight goes. Joe brings the heat and the commentators start talking about how promising of a prospect Joe Solecki is. Eventually in the second round the conversation turns to how tough of a veteran Jim Miller is. Finally in the third they start wondering when the fight is gonna be stopped because it's just a one sided grind fest, but Jim toughs it out to a decision by being a crafty vet.

Holtzman vs. Gamrot
Scott Holtzman, DEC
Holtzman is a very live dog here. He has superior wrestling to Kutaladze who gave Gamrot trouble in the sequences. He also packs some heat with his punches, he quite easily earns his nickname. Gamrot could definitely win this fight, but I don't think he's come close to earning these odds as a -200 favorite.

Call me crazy, But I don't like how they're lots of line movement of Vettori as he went from -200 to -400. I think it bad luck for fighter to have lots of money bet on them as they end up lossing.

I just don't think Marvin is going to finish him. I mostly say that because I like Kevin a lot and I don't like Marvin. I mean he's meathead and he looks like he's screaming and crying into a mirror for 30 minutes straight, and I think Kevin ******* with him will make him get super upset and not finish him.

There's something off about 91% of people on tapology picking shore but him being only a -140 favorite. But I do think he gets it done there will be big discrepancy on the ground. I guess people think azure has better hands for it to be worth a shot?

@ITJUSTWORKS well, the last time a guy got Vettori riled up was the Roberson fight, and Marvin threw him around before choking him. Granted Kevin's ground game should be better than Karl's.

  • Vettori vs Holland
It was only a matter of time. Kevin Holland is a likeable character with a flashy style while lacking discipline and fundamentals. This is what makes him dangerous but also will always leave him outside the ranks of the elite. It worked for Tony Ferguson. It won’t work for him. He lacks the creativity, durability, and versatility to compete on that level. Takedowns, pressure with care, rinse and repeat. Vettori UD or late FINISH

  • Allen vs Yusuf

Boy was Yusuf’s last bout revealing. The ease at which Sodiq was being touched up by Fili (an orthodox fighter) from Southpaw was very concerning. I already graded Allen higher in footwork, movement, technique, and defense. But after seeing Sodiq’s befuddlement against Fili, I see a clear, potentially embarrassing 30-27x2, 29x28 decision victory for Allen. KO is Yusuf’s only path to victory here.

Alvey vs Marquez
Sam Alvey, 29x28 DEC
It’s intriguing how Alvey is such an underdog (according to TAPOLOGY votes — the betting line is mid). Marquez’s come from behind victory in his prior performance appears to be swaying opinions similar to how Sabina Mazo’s did a few weeks ago. Marquez was losing very clearly to Pitolo and while Alvey is not an um.. athletic specimen.. he is very tough with the fundamentals and chin required to not get punched into another dimension here. Marquez power is no greater than that of Jung or Spann. Alvey should get the ugly win here by sloppily sticking and moving along the outside utilizing his reach and superior fight IQ. I wouldn’t bet a dime on it, but he is the pick.

I would have to disagree with your statements on holland,
I think he has become popular and rose through the rankings fast by being creative and durable.
He does lack defensive boxing and defense from the bottom and that's why i expect him to lose.
Also Marvin is the last fighter to pressure with care, he is the exact opposite almost. he fights with no respect for his opponents as of late. that's the main risk on betting Marvin.
Holland is no punk.

I think Allen is not that great but he is well rounded.
he struggled with makwan, struggled with nik lentz, and had a decent fight against a no longer reputable melendez. his other wins were against WHO?.....i'll wait

Yusuff hasn't had big performances either, he seemed flat against sheymon, he was also flat against benitez until he got touched, he had a back and forth fight with Fili who is a very credible striker with good grappling skills. His fight with Davis was a contender series fight of the year.
I think yusuff has fought the more stiff competition and out works allen, possible finish if his chin can't hold.

Vettori vs. Holland
Marvin Vettori, DEC
Props to Kevin Holland for taking the fight so soon after his loss to Derek Brunson but I think he's seriously underestimating Marvin Vettori who is a top 5 Middleweight for a reason. He's got an amazing ground game with several impressive submission wins to his name and he's never been finished which is bad news for Holland as his best chance of a win would be through a early KO which I can't see happening. Plus, I'm also wondering how seriously he's gonna take this fight. I'm hoping that his loss to Brunson would've humbled him a bit but frankly I doubt it and I think he's still gonna try and show off whenever he can and Vettori will show him that you can't do that **** at the highest level unless you're miles better than the competition which Holland isn't. As for how it's gonna end, Vettori's best chance of a finish is obviously through a submission but he's shown in the past that he's more than happy to play the long game and out point his opponants and while I have been ****ting on Holland in this comment, I can appreciate that he has got raw talent even though he is limited in many other ways so he could be hard to stop. Vettori to win on points seems the most likely outcome to me.

Allen vs. Yusuff
Arnold Allen, DEC
This is one of the best co-main events that the UFC has had for a while IMO. Obviously, I'm always gonna be biased towards the British fighter but I do genuinely think that experience is key in close fights like this and Arnold Allen has the slightly better record so I'm leaning towards him but if Sodiq Yusuff did win then it would only be a very minor upset.

Miller vs. Solecki
Jim Miller, SUB, R2
I think it's safe to say that we will see a lot of grappling in this one! Joe Solecki has looked very impressive since coming into the UFC but even at 37, Jim Miller is still a dangerous opponant and I wouldn't be surprised if the old dog taught the young dog some new tricks in this fight.

Dumont vs. Blanchfield
Erin Blanchfield, DEC
Erin Blanchfield was always entertaining to watch in Invicta and I'm hoping she'll have a good run in the UFC as well!

I do not like Julian Marquez as a person, i think he is a weirdo who dates *****s.
I do not like Julian Marquez for betting, he is essentially a one-armed fighter after his surgery that sidelined him for 2+ years.
I do not like Julian marquez fighting people bigger than Maki, because he lost that entire fight.

BUT.....smiling Sam might be the most SLOWPACED fighter in the division, slower than Mike Rodriguez. If Alvey fights Marquez the way he fought jung, herman, or spann, he will most likely lose by being counter intuitive against a guy with more boxing experience.
Spann & Da un Jung do not have as much boxing experience.
