Masvidal KO/TKO R2 (Heart Pick).
It's going to be extremely difficult for gamebred to win here. Even if the best version of Masvidal were showing up, which is definitely not what we're getting by a long stretch, I'd still give Usman about a 75% chance of winning. Usman might have the best pressure wrestling I've seen apart from Khabib. He can simply spam that **** forever and never run out of gas.And that's not against guys with the TDD of a two-legged giraffe either, that's against Pedigreed wrestlers like Tywhine, may he rest in peace. It's insane.
That said, I do think as as striking-based fighters go Masvidal probably has a better shot at beating him than anyone else at WW who is not named Gilbert. He's very good at catching people coming in and is pretty mobile, He'll have to work very hard to keep the center of the cage here. In exchanges he will absolutely wreck Usman. In fact I guarantee you there's at least one moment in this fight where Usman gets comboed in the center bad, retreats to the cage, and Masvidal stand in the center waving him in.
Usman can't strike for ****. Very low power, very low volume, very basic and readable combinations. Basically Masvidal will win this if Usman has convinced himself he can actually throw hands. If he wants to fly the **** he did against Colby against Gamebred he's going to get woken up with a flashlight.
My guess is that Masvidal does have a big moment and Usman does the funky chicken. but recovers, and retreats to what he does best--which is bore the **** out of everyone with an extended session of ****-bobbing.
I'm still picking Masvidal however.Slip right hook IMO. If he does get it done it will be within 3. After that his legs will be jellyfished and he'll basically just be a speedbump.
