Nothing would make me happier than Gamebred beating ten shades of **** out of Ben, but I think that's very improbable. In a five rounder, I'd pick Masvidal, but not over three. George takes a bit to warm up. and I think he's going to spend the first round either on his back, or against the fence. Ditto the second. All Askren really needs to do is survive the third and it'sin the bag. This fight will bore the living bejeesus out of everyone,there will be lots of booing from the crowd, and it will all be justified.
Nunes vs Holm
Holm, dec.
Gut pick. I think this will be a very close fight that gets awarded to Holm either by split or controversial UD. Now, don't get me wrong--I'm a big fan of Nunes, and I want her to win, but she's up against it here against sheman Holly, who is very good at ishing her way to ridiculous point decisions despite the fact unless she lands a head kick she literally never inflicts any damage at all. I think she does that this time. The Schevchenko fights were close, and Amanda is a seriously big powerful ***** and totally outsized Val there. Holm is hard to land on clean, he's very strong in the clinch, hard to finish, and has good TDD. Amanda does best against strikers who are silly enough to try and outslug her in the phone booth, which is suicide. Holm won't do it. She'll throw lots of low kicks, flick jabs, and if she gets caught against the fence she'll reverse position, and hold Amanda against the cage kneeing her uselessly in the babymaker. She'll do much less damage, and win the fight for having throw more that did nothing. Then all the weebs and Betas will be all over it like ****roaches. All in all, I'm going to hate seeing Holm reclaim the belt. but my feeling is, he does.
