Correct decision, you should not win by spamming failed takedowns, stuffing takedowns should count for way more than missing a whole bunch.

I think that was the first time I rooted for Caraway, and he actually had an amazing first round... but props to Stamann for having such solid TDD and quick hands.

Pleasantly surprised by the correct decision by the judges, too. I though that last exchange could have swayed the judges in Caraway's favour somehow.

Why would you steal a round for going for a submission with 3 seconds...obviously he wasn't going to get the submission and the judges saw that.

He took that 3rd clearly. So a failed takedown and putting your opponent on the defensive and making him work while outlanding him isn’t winning? Caraway was robbed
