Anyone else notice that the UFC is filling the Macau card with Koreans? So far we've got Kyung Ho Kang, Dong Hyun Kim and the newly-signed Hyun Gyu Lim. All good fighters but just not very Chinese. Add to that Vietnam's Cung Le and it seems a rather strange line-up.

I guess a better question would be--why didn't they just plan an event in Korea and hold off on China? MMA is still in the incubator in China whereas Korea is already well-established in the sport. And not like China's going anywhere.

Just wondering if anyone else is confused by this--yet another--strange move by the UFC.

I think they'll find a few Chinese guys to throw on here. How many, and the quality of fighter, will definitely be in question.

It just seems like the UFC does too much dabbling. They need to learn how to commit and to take a risk now and then. A couple Chinese fighters on the main card would be a great show of faith in China's potential and certainly increase ticket sales. Signing other Asians actually looks worse than just having all American fighters on the card if you ask me.

The Sweden card worked because it was very cosmopolitan and they knew everybody would turn out for Gustafsson. But if they had signed a bunch of Danes and put Gunnar Nelson in the main event, I don't think it would have gone over.
