Predictions: 3 of 10 Winners, 1 Perfect, 200 Points   |   Tied for 1206th

The UFC is back on FOX tonight and Tapology will be your little buddy there with you as the action unfolds. Shogun Rua, Brandon Vera, Ryan Bader and Lyoto Machida are all vying for the next shot at Jonny Bones Jones.  Who will turn in the best performance?

Things are scheduled to kick off at EARLY at 5:00 eastern time for 6 prelim fights on Fuel TV.  Then at 8:00 eastern time it's the free broadcast on Big Fox.

Your prediction results and leaderboard ranking will automatically show up in any posts made here. If you want to embed your full listing of picks you can do that also.   Your picks, as well as a link to embed the image, and the top of the site-wide leaderboard will all be available in the right column on this thread.

Enjoy the fights and good luck in your predictions!

This was the best UFC event I've ever watched off the top of my head, even better than 134, and 100 imo.

In terms of fights anyway, UFC 100 and Brock Lesnar just sort of had a feeling to it.

No way Swick was KO of the night!!

Predictions: 6 of 10 Winners, 1 Perfect, 325 Points   |   Tied for 663rd

It was cool, and the whole "I'm back from a 100 year injury" aspect is nice (plus, the added bonus of seeing DaMarques "The Poser" Johnson's head bouncing on the floor was great) .. But John Moraga's KO was much much MUCH better ...

No need to snub the prelims ... if they deserve thew bonus, why not give it to them?

agreed, yosgold.
also Id be inclined to say J-Lo stays as fight of the night but that north-south choke gets sub of the night.

I thought it was the right decision, Swick was out for so long and he prolly needs the money. Moraga might get some locker room money. J-Lau's sub was more spectacular I thought, that Yahya sub was cool too though.

Also, why is Darkness a "poser" ? He's real cool guy !

What an outstanding event!  Every one of the main card fights delivered, nobody should feel bad about their performance! (other than maybe Bader and he at least has the excuse that he had to deal with a very impressive Machida).

Things I learned:

1) Never underestimate the power of a man who drinks his own piss.  Machida looked really good and made Bader look really bad.  I normally hate seeing guys get title rematches after just one fight, but honestly, Machida deserves it.  He looked the best of all the Light Heavies that fought last night, so I'm fine with him being the contender now.

2) Never underestimate the heart of a man who wants, more than anyone else, to prove everyone wrong.  My God, did Brandon Vera impress last night!  He took the best that Shogun could throw at him and still managed to not only hang with him, but nearly beat him in round 2!   Vera is definitely back and hopefully he continues to grow from this because I liked what I saw from him.

3) Just because you're a Strongman competitor doesn't mean you can fight.  Phil De Fries vs. Oli Thompson..... I'll be honest, I thought it was a horrible fight.  Thompson clearly has no business being in the UFC and De Fries made that fight drag on longer than it needed to.  He needs to improve his striking big time.  Thompson needs to go back to being in strong man competitions.

4. Mike Swick is back!  I'm thrilled he won, yeah he had a little ring rust, but after 2.5 years, anyone would.  The important thing is he won, looked really good for a guy coming back from a ton of injuries, and the Welterweight division could have yet another contender very soon!

5. UFC on Fox curse?  Not anymore.  After the first two UFC on Fox shows kinda bombed (1 only having one fight that ended in a minute and 2 having 3 pretty boring decision fights), the last two UFC on Fox shows have been excellent!  3 had some exciting fights and 4 was one of the best overall shows I've seen!   It's looking like the UFC on Fox curse is becoming a thing of the past!

Overall, great night!

This was, by far, the best event they have put on FOX to date for sure.

I missed the fights last night because I was at the Mayhem Fest(which was awesome BTW), but just watched them on DVR.
I was blown away. I couldn't stand Varner before, but he's steadily moving up my favorite fighters list. That fight was amazing, as was Swick/Johnson.
Absolutely the best Fox show to date.

I didn't like the was they had the event set up at my venue. The small stage was at the bottom of the mountain where all the smaller acts + Anthrax played. Then to get to the main stage you had to walk a 1/2 mile up a mountain. The only problem was when Anthrax ended, Asking Alexandria started on the main stage........1/2 mile away. And after drinking warm, 24oz cans of beer all day in the sun, you don't feel like running.

just finished watching the main card, that was a great card no doubt. I liked UFC on FOX 3 more 'cause I'm a sucker for underdogs but UFC on FOX 4 was a great event no doubt.

I had it 29-28 for Vera going into the 4th and in Dana's interview with Ariel Helwani, he thought the fight was 3 rounds 'cause he kept referring to the fight as the most important 15 minutes of Vera's life. Close fight, great finish.

Machida tooling Bader was alright. I'm not a big Machida fan to be honest, but I could definitely appreciate the KO. That counter straight was perfect.

Varner vs Lauzon proved that Varner is definitely legit, what a sick fight.

Mike Swick looked good, he definitely didn't look like he was gone for 2 and a half years. DaMarques' ever improving jiu-jitsu was great to see too, no doubt.

Good card, it would have been better if I saw it while it was happening live though. Nothing beats watching fights while they happen.
