@zar okay lol, it's just realistic what leverage does Santos have? You're probably right, that fight will probably go the way of Mayhem vs Diaz, because Ronda isn't gonna go back up. Who knows maybe after a year off the juice Santos' muscle mass will be somewhat normal, and she will be able to make 135 then.

The second a girl with decent TDD and can actually use distance when striking.. Rousey will lose. Her striking sucked, and Miesha was dumb to get in close with Rousey and clinch. Anyone with speed that can keep a distance with rousey will beat her. Her Standup defence was awful.

1 dimensional fighters can only last so long until a blueprint is set to beat you.

You're right, and that's why woman's MMA is no fun. The hype for this fight was fantastic, and the first round was entertaining, but girls besides Rousey don't have the decoration to compete at a top level. You could compare Rousey to Demian Maia. The second people figured out how to keep Distance with Maia and not grapple with him, he stopped subbing people and start losing fights. Unfortunately, woman's MMA isnt deep enough for interesting matchups like that.

I appreciate Rousey's decorative background, and her nasty ground game, but she is one dimensional, and in the true sense of MMA, and susccessful ( champions) in MMA, all are well rounded. I don't think a girl with a pure Judo background who cant strike is the best thing for womans MMA.

Here's hoping Cyborg gets her suspension shortened.  The sooner we can match her up with Rousey the better.

Nik, if she keeps breaking peoples arms she won't be bad for WMMA.  If she starts LnPing here way to victories than I agree fully with you, but as long as she is breaking arms WMMA will be okay.

Okay, I said it weird. Rousey's win was good for MMA.. BUT if no woman come up who can neutralize her Judo, it's bad. in males MMA, most guys that are specialists in one aspect, can be neutralized.. (Lesnar, Maia, Manheof, Shields.. etc) it seems in womans MMA if youre super good at one thing, thats good enough.

Nik, definitely, I think her athleticism is what truly separates her from her opposition.  Tate being a good athlete is outclassed by Rousey.  As good an athlete as Carano is, Cyborg was far more athletic.  Just need another super freak chick athlete to come up and see what happens.  She just has an ability to overwhelm people.
