Pereira vs. Hill
Jamahal Hill, TKO, R2
I see a Hill KO here within the first 3 RD's.

Gaethje vs. Holloway
Justin Gaethje, DEC
Justin's gonna put the damage on him for sure. I see Max's chin getting him to the judge's decision tho.

Turner vs. Moicano
Jalin Turner, TKO, R1
Moicano going out cold.

Turner vs. Moicano

Predictions: 10 of 13 Winners, 3 Perfect, 645 Points   |   Tied for 1068th

Listen..I am not going to pretend that I don't have a favorite fighter in this fight and that my judgement of their skills might be clouded because of it, but people are remembering the Green KO and imagining turner as an unstoppable force at round 1.

Bobby "hands down style, never attempt a takedown in my fights" Green was a perfect victim for Turner, we all saw the KO coming the moment the fight was announced.

With Moicano I still think that Turner will be agressive at round 1 but not nearly as much because he understand that moicano will be looking to take the fight to the ground. I belive Renato can survive round 1 and start finding his moments to take over the fight with wrestling, submission attempts and GnP. Winning by decision.

To add to you point money Moicano only been KO’d by Fizeav and dropped by RDA at 155lb, Him surviving the RDA fight show his chin better at 155lb.

He’ll better get the grappling game going tho, Turner can crack and if he don’t get him down, Turner will send him to destination ****’d

My predictions for some matches

Predictions: 6 of 8 Winners, 2 Perfect, 395 Points   |   Tied for 7102nd

Pereira vs. Hill
Alex Pereira, TKO, R3
I think Hill is coming back too soon. He wanted to come back late June, I think he won't have the conditioning to do five rounds and is risking another injury with Pereira leg kicks.

Zhang vs. Yan
Zhang, DEC
Xiaonan Yan doesn't have the wrestling and grappling skills to compete with Zhang. It will be really similar to Zhang-Lemos. If you don't believe me check Esparza-Yan. The only hope for Yan is a lucky punch but she has only 1 KO in her UFC fights.

Gaethje vs. Holloway
Justin Gaethje, DEC
I think the power of Justin will be too much to handle for Max. There's a reason why weight classes exist. Gaethje also looked great against Fiziev and Porier.

Nickal vs. Brundage
Bo Nickal, SUB, R1
trash

Oliveira vs. Tsarukyan
Arman Tsarukyan, TKO, R2
This fight is really a 50-50 at least on paper. I'll give it to Tsarukyan cause he's fresher and has the wrestling advantage. He can keep Oliveira on the ground on his back. Oliveira didn't show great wrestling improvements against Dariush.

Kattar vs. Sterling
Kattar, DEC
This fight is also a 50-50 on paper. Nobody knows how Sterling will look at 145. I'll give it to Kattar because he should have the striking advantage and the tdd(92%) to keep it on the feet.

Green vs. Miller
Bobby Green, DEC
I think Bobby Green takes it. He's younger and he has not so bad tdd(74%). Also he definitely has fought and won better competition lately.

Figueiredo vs. Garbrandt
Deiveson Figueiredo, TKO, R2
"Deus da Guerra" looked good against Font. I think this is the last chance for Cody to rise up again but unfortunately you can't train chin.

Predictions: 9 of 13 Winners, 2 Perfect, 600 Points   |   Tied for 2107th

Oliveira vs. Tsarukyan
Charles Oliveira, TKO, R1
I think that everything is at play here. I

Procházka vs. Rakić
Jiří Procházka, TKO, R1
I have heard a lot about how people think this is a clear win for Rakic, but I think Jiri will find a way to get him out of there like Charles did against Beneil. I think Jiri's style is dangerous enough with the right mix of unorthodoxy to find Rakic's chin. I also wonder if Rakic will be rusty heading into the fight, since he is coming off an injury.

Kattar vs. Sterling
Aljamain Sterling, DEC
I think Aljo will win with pressure and grappling. Kattar is older and declining.

Holm vs. Harrison
Kayla Harrison, SUB, R1
I don't think Kayla will make weight. If she does, she will run straight through Holly. The size and grappling advantage will be way too much.

Yusuff vs. Lopes
Diego Lopes, SUB, R2
I think Diego will utilize a grappling-heavy approach to this fight. Yusuff has proved that he is dangerous early in fights, and fades as the fight progresses. I think Lopes neutralizes Yusuff's striking early on with takedowns and clinches (since he's the bigger guy), and attacks him in round two and gets a sub.

Turner vs. Moicano
Jalin Turner, DEC
I think Renato is tough as it gets, and I think he has good fight IQ. He will utilize his BJJ, but the striking is too one-sided IMO. I think Turner hurts Moicano early and Moicano has to grapple in order to survive, but doesn't do enough to get the decision. Part of me is worried about Jalin's hydration and gas tank, though.

Andrade vs. Rodriguez
Marina Rodriguez, TKO, R2
I think Andrade would be wise to grapple in this fight. I think Rodriguez stings her on the feet and finishes her off. If Andrade grapples, I could see her winning. I could also see Andrade winning by KO but for me it's the women's version of Figgy vs Cody, but Andrade has Cody's chin and would need to fight with a more well-rounded approach to avoid Rodriguez's power shots.

Green vs. Miller
Jim Miller, SUB, R2
I think Jim's pace and grappling skills will be too much for Bobby. I also think Miller will do well on the feet. I love this fight, as I do with every fight on the card.

Figueiredo vs. Garbrandt
Deiveson Figueiredo, TKO, R2
I absolutely give Cody a good chance here. However, I think Figgy is too much of a step up. I think Figgy takes his time and grapples with him and sets things up in round one, and then smokes Cody in round 2, I think Cody will make it hard for Figgy to close the distance though.

Pereira vs. Hill
Alex Pereira, TKO, R2
Before I get into the main event, I just want to say that this card is incredible. Now onto the main event. Now this fight is hard to predict, but I feel that Pereira KOs Hill early. I could see Hill stopping Alex as well.

Zhang vs. Yan
Weili Zhang, SUB, R3
I just feel like Weili is going to grapple Yan, and eventually find a sub. Vibes.

Gaethje vs. Holloway
Max Holloway, TKO, R4
I think Gaethje beats the piss out of Max early, Max survives with the skin of his teeth, and out-dawgs Gaethje and stops him late.

Nickal vs. Brundage
Bo Nickal, SUB, R1
I think that Brundage is underrated, and definitely the best opponent that Nickal will have faced after the fight. However, the stage is big and the lights are bright. Nickal has shown that when the stakes are at their highest, he shines. I don't feel like I can trust Cody in this scenario. I think Bo sub him in the late first.

The bookies have both Charles Oliveria and Max Holloway as a +186 underdog. It pretty crazy because a lot of people think Charles is going to beat Arman, and Gaetcje will end Max career, Bookie giving both Holloway and Charles the same probillity of winning is interesting

Max is looking thick. He has definitely leveled up since the last time he's fought at LW but his level of opponent remains equally difficult. I'd love to see him pull it off because Lightweight could use a shakeup near the top of the rankings. I'm 60/40 Gaethje right now.

“Can he catch me and knock me out? He’s been fighting for a long time. He has strikes. He has power. Yes, it’s a possibility to get caught and lose. But short of that, short of something getting through and it catches me and puts me away, he gets his ass whooped every single way. He has one way to win this fight. Anybody who thinks he’s going to outclass me is out of their f*cking mind.”

-Jamahal Hill

I imagine he was probably having similar thoughts about Paul Craig before he got his arm snapped in half. Beating 40 year old Glover has inflated this guys head to astronomical proportions if you ask me. There's being confident in your abilities and then there's being delusional. He's basically saying Alex is just a kickboxer and that's it. He's going to get humbled big time.

Hill is a pretty good fighter and has a very good chance on beating Poatan, i was laughing at him when he said he was gonna be champ after going life and death with washed Thiago Santos, then months later he was the champ so is hard to doubt his skill and determination to win but jesus christ he's so unlikeble.

I can already see how it will happen so clearly in my head.

Hill goes foward trying to pressure Poatan and get his striking going.
Poatan moves away from strikes and lands powerful calf kicks like he always does even if the opponent is fully expecting it and has been trained for it all their training camp.
The round ends with no fighter having major moments but not looking good for Hill.
Hill movements gets comprimised in round 2 and he goes in the pressure again tryin to make something happen, he gets send to the shadow realm shortly after.

Unless of course Hill is playing 4D chess and immediately shoot a take down as soon as the fight start. Jan Błachowicz style.

So, basically, Poatan x Jiri all over again ?

Nah, I don't think it's gonna be that simple. I don't know if Poatan's leg kicks are gonna be that much useful since Hill is a southpaw. Maybe Alex can have some success if  Jamahal switches stances though.

Also, I don't think Hill is gonna rush against Alex like Jiri did in their fight. He's way more accurate than Jiri on the feet.

If he gets in some kind of trouble, he'll probably try and clinch with Poatan. Hill has better wrestling than Jiri too, so if Jiri took Poatan down, of course Hill can.

Honestly, I don't know. If this was Jamahal without the injury, I'd pick him.  I'm a huge admirer of Poatan's work, but coming back after such a horrible injury tells me that he won't be as light on his feet as he was.

I think the way people online are seeing Hill winning this fight is by rushing in and finding Alex chin while his hands are down.

If like you said he doesn't rushes in and tries to have a kickboxing figh in the outside against a kickboxer while also coming back from a major injure and having ring rust, I am even more confident that he loses.

But the thing is: he doesn't need to rush in to catch Alex.

People tend to dismiss Hill's ability on the feet cause he has a big mouth, but it's undeniable he has great timing and packs great power. He has the ability to find Poatan's chin, I'm 100% sure about that, I just don't think he will, given that he's coming in a hurry for this fight.

He should let Ankalaev fight Pereira, but I reckon the UFC probably gave him a ridiculous amount of cash, so I'm not gonna trash him for this.

Anyway, it's gonna be a great event. Rooting for Alex !
