I hope this card delivers. I haven't been able to enjoy this weekend so far because I just want this card to get started and can't relax. Maybe I'm turning into a zoomer in my old age.

I think Jan did more damage to Reyes' career: Reyes was the favorite for that title fight, but the Pole prepared much better, dominated him with strong body kicks, broke his nose, made him do the chicken dance and gave him his first loss by TKO. Jiri left him Knocked Out Cold, but it was a Reyes who had lost confidence from his two missed title shots and who knew that in this fight he was the stepping stone to catapult Jiri as a title challenger. Against Jones the only thing he learned that if you want to take the title from a Dana’s favorite is by finishing as Holm did against Ronda or giving them a real beating without closed rounds.

Predictions: 11 of 14 Winners, 2 Perfect, 630 Points   |   Tied for 3005th

Jones vs. Gane
Jon Jones, TKO
The GOAT is back and Gane's right hand is as broke as a joke. Jones gonna play with him like kids with toys. Like taking candy from a baby.

Shevchenko vs. Grasso
Alexa Grasso, SUB
LMAO "Bullet" is gonna take a bullet from Grasso. Valentina is overconfident and lost her last fight but got saved by the judges. Viva Grasso y Rodriguez.

Neal vs. Rakhmonov
Shavkat Rakhmonov, TKO
Neal doesn't even care as he showed on the scales. What a bum.

Gamrot vs. Turner
Jalin Turner, SUB
Gamrot wrestles himself to a loss as he shoots volume TDs and not quality.

Pickett vs. Nickal
Bo Nickal, TKO
Bo gonna get his easy W and act like he's a prodigy. It's Jamie Pickett but he should roll regardless. Enjoy the easy bums while you can champ.

Garbrandt vs. Jones
Cody Garbrandt, DEC
Trevin Jones likes to sit in the pocket and take hits to counter. Cody lives in the pocket so it'll be lights out for the half a star (The Longest Yard reference if y'all are up to date on your current events)

Brunson vs. Du Plessis
Dricus Du Plessis, TKO
Derek takes punches like my 90 year old grandmother and she's still up an at em.

Araujo vs. Ribas
Viviane Araujo, DEC
Ribas couldn't hit a stationary beach ball in the ring.

Marquez vs. Barriault
Marc-André Barriault, DEC
Julian looks like a lumberjack that found his way to the the octagon.

Machado Garry vs. Song
Ian Machado Garry, DEC
Ian dances his way to victory like a fairy in a grass field.

Martinez vs. Saaiman
Cameron Saaiman, TKO
Mana doesn't know whether to throw the fight or actually try with Krause no longer under or over training him. #dazedandconfused

Penne vs. Ricci
Tabatha Ricci, DEC
Jessica Absolute Penne lol. She needs to go work for food network.

Basharat vs. Blackshear
Farid Basharat, DEC
The other Mario brother gonna smash this so called monster.

Radzhabov vs. Ribovics
Esteban Ribovics, TKO
Loik likes to be flashy with TDs which is perfect because he gets a lil sleepy doing so.

Predictions: 7 of 14 Winners, 3 Perfect, 495 Points   |   Tied for 4712th

Jones vs. Gane
Jon Jones, SUB, R3
Slow first round, Jones patient, teep kicks, Ciryl moves alot, and hand fights. 2nd round alot more action, Both sending kicks, Jones starting to showcase the mixture of strikes, high head kicks.. towards the last two mins of R2, Jones pressures and keeps Ciryl at bay, back to the cage, and unsure which side to cycle too. Round 3, Jones rushes to center, alot of feints and kicks, Ciryl throws a low kick and Jones grabs that kick and brings Ciryl down immediately. They scramble towards the cage. Ground and pound becomes brutal, Elbows, Elbows, Ciryl tries to defend and knee up to the cage. Jones finds that neck and cranks an insanely tight Guillotine, TAP!

Shevchenko vs. Grasso
Valentina Shevchenko, SUB, R3
Armbar finish, I think Valentina will mount, ground and pound, latch up and arm, and commit to it. Risking position but the sub is in, TAP.

Neal vs. Rakhmonov
Shavkat Rakhmonov, SUB, R1
I think Shavkat mounts him early, Geoff turns in a quality opening. Shavkat's too quick and he latches legs then arms in, RNC finish

Gamrot vs. Turner
Jalin Turner, DEC
Man! 29-28x3 Uni. I'm goin Jalin here. I think he has a super underrated explosivity, the snap power will frustrate Gamrot early, leading him to get inside, I think Jalin lands a couple knees and stays afloat on these exchanges. Hooks land. I think Jalin can win this.

Pickett vs. Nickal
Bo Nickal, SUB, R1
Arm Triangle Choke very very rapidly.

Garbrandt vs. Jones
Trevin Jones, TKO, R2
KO Knee counter on a takedown attempt, Cody falls flat.

Brunson vs. Du Plessis
Derek Brunson, DEC
29-28 Uni, for Brunson. I think damage will be on Dricus' side but the occasions of his output are very far and few. Derek really plays the clinch and takedown game here, and it becomes frustrating fight for both.

Araujo vs. Ribas
Amanda Ribas, DEC
30-27x2, 29-28 Uni for Ribas...I expect a more battle-ready Ribas, ready to go for a full 15. I think the pressure, and striking frustrate Viviane's range of strikes.

Marquez vs. Barriault
Julian Marquez, DEC
Leaning a choke, But I'll say grueling decision instead 29-28x3 Uni for Marquez.

Machado Garry vs. Song
Ian Machado Garry, TKO, R1
Late round head kick KO, Song cycles right into it. Highlight reel.

Martinez vs. Saaiman
Mana Martinez, DEC
29-28x3 Uni, I believe the experience will matter here. I expect Mana to counter well, and keep pressure on in the last 2 rounds.

Penne vs. Ricci
Tabatha Ricci, DEC
29-28x2, 30-27 Uni for Ricci.

Basharat vs. Blackshear
Farid Basharat, DEC
30-27x2, 30-26 Uni Dec for Bash...alot of stalemate grappling leads to a slow but dominant victory for Farid.

Radzhabov vs. Ribovics
Esteban Ribovics, TKO, R2
Counter Hook KO put Loik down cold.

I don’t remember see Jones land any considerably powerful strikes on Reyes during that fight, I only remember Jones having more wrestling/grappling success in the last 2 rounds. In what did affect Reyes his fight with Jones, is that after this he believed he was invincible and he did not prepare with the same awareness that Jan took to prepare for the title fight and hence the result. The increase in his ego led Reyes to a great fall.

Really people think Jon jones win? He's last fight is 3years ago  He outboxed by Reyes and win by terrible decision. And he looks just fat and fluffy. He try 9 takedown and success only 2 times but Reyes right back up. Gane is too fast for him he can't shoot. Gane will piece him up in standing. Maybe he can take down Gane later round but Gane will right back up

Bo to finish at -700 you need him to finish 8/9 times to make a small profit. Bo decision at +950 you need him to win by decision 1/10 times to make a small profit.

This illustrates why I don't like playing the same prop that everyone and their grandma is on. Not saying I like Bo by decision either.

Ask yourself, would Cyril Gane struggle with Dom Reyes or Thiago Santos? Would those fights be close? That was Jon before a three year layoff of HARD living and 40lbs of questionable extra weight.

The main problem is that since the fight with Volkan it was possible to see that Dom was not ready for the big stage, for this they put Weidman who was gaining weight and came from KO losses so that he will regain his confidence and add a historical name to his record. They should have put him against Thiago Santos, Anthony Smith, Jan or Corey Anderson. But at that moment Jon Jones needed a new opponent and despite the closeness of that fight, his fights against Jan, Jiri and Spann showed that he was not yet ready for that level and I am not talking about the results, but about the approach of the fights (in special against Jan and Spann)

If Pickett manages to complete the fight and loss in the scorecards against Bo Nickal, that could also be considered a highlight considering that nearly all of Jamie's losses in the UFC were by finish.

Why? On paper Jones should lose. Older fighter with grey in his beard and a beer belly going up a weight class after a 3 year layoff and facing a guy that you could make an argument should've gotten the nod vs Francis and been the heavyweight champion based on dmg output in that last round.

The only reason a lot of people are on Jones is because it's Jon Jones, any "normal" fighter would be a massive underdog in his spot. That's a good reason to be on Jones btw, because he's Jones, fair enough.

So I'd say it's the opposite. If he loses no surprise, if he wins then he cements his status as the GOAT of the sport.
