Predictions: 9 of 14 Winners, 5 Perfect, 615 Points   |   Tied for 3333rd

Jones vs. Gane
Jon Jones, TKO, R3
Return the the goat. 38% of you actually think Ciryl will beat Jon Jones?

Shevchenko vs. Grasso
Valentina Shevchenko, TKO, R3
Yeah Valentina had a not so dominant win last fight. I really like Alexa. I’ve watched her grow into a much better fighter. There’s levels though. Valentina is one of the goats of women’s mma

Neal vs. Rakhmonov
Geoff Neal, TKO, R2
Nobody is giving Neal a chance in this fight. I’m riding with him.

Gamrot vs. Turner
Mateusz Gamrot, DEC
Riding with Gamrot. Wouldn’t be surprised if Jalin wins tho

Pickett vs. Nickal
Bo Nickal, SUB, R1
I really like Jamie Pickett. I don’t see anybody beating Bo right now. Respect for even taking this fight

Garbrandt vs. Jones
Cody Garbrandt, DEC
With respect to Trevin, if Cody can’t win this one it might be time to hang them up. Not sure what happened to the 12-0 champion we once knew

Brunson vs. Du Plessis
Derek Brunson, DEC
Going way out on a limb here with Brunson. Might bite me in the ass

Araujo vs. Ribas
Amanda Ribas, DEC
This is a hell of a matchup. I expected this fight a year or so ago. Should be back and forth. Whoever has the best cardio will win. Definitely see it going the distance

Marquez vs. Barriault
Marc-André Barriault, DEC
Flip a coin

Machado Garry vs. Song
Ian Machado Garry, TKO, R2
Ian all day. His fights are fun to watch. Finish inside 10 min

Martinez vs. Saaiman
Mana Martinez, DEC
Rolling with the underdog on this one. Don’t know much about Saaiman. Seems like tapology loves him tho

Penne vs. Ricci
Tabatha Ricci, DEC
If Jessica didn’t lose so much time she would’ve been so much better. Good matchup tho

Basharat vs. Blackshear
Farid Basharat, DEC
Basharat brothers are legit fighters. Blackshear seems like a dog. Might be a good scrap

Changed my Saaiman pick to decision from KO after watching tape on him and Mana a bit today. It's a low weight class and I feel Saaiman isn't super heavy handed. Both of his opponents under the UFC umbrella were very competetive until they started gassing and that's when he got the finishes. Also Mana is pretty durable. Both guys have come back after losing rounds and proven they can go the full 15. Also this is a big event with neither guy usually unloading unless they have their opponent hurt, they both like to poke and prod and look for openings, often backs off to reset after landing a few shots and so on.

I actually found a +123 on fight goes the distance, I don't hate it. 53% of BW fights go the distance in the big cage overall and I think this one should also cash half the time.

Remember folks, completely Blonde Brunson is still undefeated in the UFC.  He said he had only patches of blonde against Cannonier which was only good enough strength for Round 1... when he goes completely blonde, he is still undefeated.  He made it clear during his interviews that he is going completely blonde this time lmao.  Bet wisely...

Brunson is one of the fighters that have given me the highest return out of all fighters in the UFC but I gotta jump off that train finally. It was a good run.

That said, would I be surprised if he wins? Not at all, DDP is an ape. But a 10 year younger in his prime ape.

@gliese58i, extremely profitable for me too.  I am taking him just based on principle.  He gave me one of my greatest nights of sports betting against Darren Till.  I had Derek Brunson ml + Tom Aspinall ml + Alex Morono ml back in 2021.  It was like a +1000 or something along those lines, I can't remember.  Some cards are gifts...

I also look at who has finished Brunson in the past... Yoel Romero, Robert Whittaker, Jacare in his prime (x2), Israel Adesanya... I don't look at DDP on the same level as those guys.

I wonder how a Kevin Holland vs DDP fight would have gone?

If this was 2020, I would say Brunson would be one of the best dogs on the card. As bad as ddp is, I think he’s just too much for aging Brunson. He gets tired. But still fights through it where Brunson is now dying after one round. Both also rush up with chins in the air but Dricus hits harder and can also take a punch. Brunson is almost 40, on the decline, and recently decided to unretire which is always a red flag. I think he wants money for his last couple of ufc fights and get paid to fund his real estate

I still think he's going to be able to be a top 15 fighter for the next couple of years which you may say that middleweight is weak bc of that, but it is what it is, and those are the top middleweights in the world rn

I'm shocked so many people are backing Brunson. Show me a name on his record that has aged well? All but one of Brunson's loses have ended in finish and that was against a 2017 Anderson Silva. And he still lost! I like Brunson and he's been a good underdog for me too, but I'll be shocked if he can keep DDP stuck on the mat long enough to avoid getting KO'd. Can he do it for a round? Sure. Two? Probably not... And every second spent standing Brunson is a two piece away from unconsciousness. One last shot on the big stage is a good send off.

danromanick  That remains to be seen. There are a few unranked fighters that are on the come up that Du Plessis probably loses to. I just think that Du Plessis has had very favorable fights to get that winning streak going. If Dricus loses to Brunson tonight, they should rebook him vs Gastelum. If he wins, they should match him up with the loser of Vettori vs Dolidze. I personally think that Du Plessis wins tonight and reaches his ceiling, because I don't see him doing well against other top 10 fighters.

Predictions: 11 of 14 Winners, 3 Perfect, 680 Points   |   Tied for 2156th

Jones vs. Gane
Jon Jones, DEC
I think this will be a heavyweight chess match

Shevchenko vs. Grasso
Valentina Shevchenko, TKO, R4
Calling ground & pound via strikes from crucifix

Neal vs. Rakhmonov
Shavkat Rakhmonov, SUB, R2
Shavkat is on another level. He ran through Magny who beat Neal.

Gamrot vs. Turner
Mateusz Gamrot, DEC
Reach will help Jalinn avoid being finished, I feel like Gamrot will get punished with jabs at the beginning but Gamrot will adjust.

Pickett vs. Nickal
Bo Nickal, SUB, R1
If Pickett wins, we live in a simulation

Garbrandt vs. Jones
Cody Garbrandt, TKO, R1
Hoping Cody can make a comeback. He’s super chinny but we did see him wrestle decently against Kai after getting rocked. Wondering if he’ll employ grappling. Honestly this is the hardest one to pick.

Brunson vs. Du Plessis
Dricus Du Plessis, TKO, R3
Brunson is a warrior, but Du Plessis finds the late finish. Brunson doesn’t seem to have the same cardio that he used to

Araujo vs. Ribas
Viviane Araujo, DEC
Coin flip

Marquez vs. Barriault
Julian Marquez, TKO, R1
This is probably gonna be a quick one

Machado Garry vs. Song
Ian Machado Garry, DEC
Song is good at distance management. Garry didn’t look great in his last fight. He will win but not as easily as people think.

Martinez vs. Saaiman
Cameron Saaiman, TKO, R2
Mana is good but Cameron is better. This is a lowkey banger

Penne vs. Ricci
Tabatha Ricci, DEC
Ricci by snoozefest

Basharat vs. Blackshear
Farid Basharat, SUB, R2
I know the Basharat’s like to control top position and grind out decisions, both these guys like taking it to the ground and Basharat from what I’ve seen is far superior in terms of grappling, wrestling and bjj

Radzhabov vs. Ribovics
Loik Radzhabov, DEC
Radzhabov has faced much better competition, Ribovics will gas himself

Predictions: 13 of 14 Winners, 5 Perfect, 855 Points   |   Tied for 127th

Jones vs. Gane
Jon Jones, TKO, R3
Gane couldn’t wrestle against Francis. How the hell is he planning to handle a monster like Jon Jones? I really don’t think jones will look good in the first round. Once he gets his range and takedowns he will ground and pound Gane out in the third.

Shevchenko vs. Grasso
Valentina Shevchenko, DEC
Think Valentina's wrestling and grappling ability will prove the deciding factor. I like Grasso in the pocket and in boxing range but I don't think it spends much time there. On the feet, Valentina will pick at Grasso with the kicking advantage and look to get this down. 50-44 50-44 and 50-43 all for the unstoppable one.

Neal vs. Rakhmonov
Shavkat Rakhmonov, SUB, R2
I personally think this is a closer fight than everyone believes. Is Rakhmonov the real deal? Yes.. but is Geoff Neal an easy fight for him? Absolutely not. This is by far Rakhmonovs hardest test to date and whilst I do think he passes the test I don’t think this will be as one sided as the odds make out.

Gamrot vs. Turner
Mateusz Gamrot, DEC
I think last minute swap from Hooker to Gamrot could be one of the worst opponent changes stylistically you could have. Turner is dangerous with his takedowns but the grappling pressure of Gamrot and the ability to scramble and maintain top position will wear on Turner. The first round will be scary but taking Gamrot by UD

Pickett vs. Nickal
Bo Nickal, SUB, R1
Should be easy one for Bo, Pickett is huge and physically gifted that's just it, after this Bo should get top 15 opponent and fast track to title

Garbrandt vs. Jones
Cody Garbrandt, TKO, R2
Cody will wrestle and Jones is too low volume. No chin wins. I have been very back and forth on this one. Also Garbrandt really needs to win one more before the UFC boots him or he retires.

Brunson vs. Du Plessis
Dricus Du Plessis, TKO, R2
So excited for this one. But I think Dricus murder Brunson just because Dricus is such an athlete and Brunson is old, Also don't think Brunson can wresle Dricus just because Dricus grappling is legit and good luck taking Dricus down. Du Plessis Du Plessis.

Araujo vs. Ribas
Amanda Ribas, DEC
I feel like the time off after her last fight will give Ribas a chance to come back in better form but Araujo who is much older is gonna start to decline after her Grasso loss.

Marquez vs. Barriault
Marc-André Barriault, DEC
Julian Marquez is an awesome fighter who boms away and never quits. Im a fan. But he gets taken down 4 and 5 tines per fight from slowing down after rd1. Gets hail mary subs from scrambles. Marc Andre should keep it standing and point fight to decision.

Machado Garry vs. Song
Ian Machado Garry, TKO, R2
Garry will smash Song and smash him quickly. First round feel out, end of the first rock song. Early in the second finish it smoothly

Martinez vs. Saaiman
Cameron Saaiman, TKO, R1
I think the UFC would like Saaiman to win hence this favorable matchup. Martinez isn't horrible however all those close decisions tell us a lot about who the UFC would like to win this one

Penne vs. Ricci
Tabatha Ricci, DEC
Ricci should just lay on her, Penne is old and Ricci is a good control staler. Hope Ricci try to do a statement or it be boring

Basharat vs. Blackshear
Farid Basharat, SUB, R2
If Basharat looks anything like his brother then he definitely gets the win here. I feel bad for blackshear he isn’t a bad 135er but he won’t be able to hold up against Farid

Radzhabov vs. Ribovics
Loik Radzhabov, DEC
Radzhabov fought the better competition and looked decent in his PFL fights but stepping in on late notice, I’m still gonna take Radzhbov here though.

Predictions: 10 of 14 Winners, 5 Perfect, 705 Points   |   Tied for 1779th

Jones vs. Gane
Jon Jones, DEC
Back on Tapology after a long break. Hope you guys are all doing well. This is a card I have some confidence in. What a great main event. Factors both sides. Basically I do not see this fight finishing early unless its Jones winning on the ground on top. I think this goes late. I think the real fight comes down to 4 factors. Will Jones be able to manage the new muscle mass and cardio demands? Who has the speed advantage? Will Gane be able to defend the takedowns? Who has better distance management? I think the answer is that the speed will be equal but Jones has better range management. Gane will defend a few takedowns but Jones will get it down. The cardio to me is the real question. But Jones has been training for this for a long time and has been preparing for HW. Gane has done really well but his opposition is not the greatest when it comes to technical striking where he excells, but Jones will be his match there. Finally Jones is being paid a lot of money for this fight. A lot of money. And the public interest in future matchups is more for Jones, not for Gane. You know who the UFC want to win. I have Jones.

Shevchenko vs. Grasso
Valentina Shevchenko, DEC
Grasso is great. But Valentina has the advantage everywhere and will be faster, stronger and bigger. I see takedowns and body kicks and keeping Grasso at range where her main strength is the boxing. Valentina may have weaknesses against wrestling but I can't see another striker beating her.

Neal vs. Rakhmonov
Shavkat Rakhmonov, SUB, R2
Shavkat will beat Neal everywhere I feel. Better striking at distance, better cardio with pace and pressure and real finishing ability. Neal's weight miss was not a good look and we all know he is a bit of a head case. Shavkat to dominate.

Gamrot vs. Turner
Jalin Turner, TKO, R3
I love Gamrot. I think he is amazing. But there are 3 factors I feel are against him here. He is amazing at takedowns but not good at keeping top control. He is not a huge finishing threat. And Turner has amazing knees and elbows when he closes the distance. Going against the grain but I am picking Turner here.

Pickett vs. Nickal
Bo Nickal, SUB, R1
Explanation not needed

Garbrandt vs. Jones
Cody Garbrandt, DEC
This one is tricky. But I think there are 3 factors the people may not have considered. Yes Garbrandt is chinny, but it's because of poor striking defence when he starts to brawl. Secondly Jones is low output though he has power. Finally Cody knows his job and career is on the line here. I think he will avoid the brawl and he will wrestle. If he does not he is in real danger, but it's obvious that the UFC is giving him a chance here.

Brunson vs. Du Plessis
Dricus Du Plessis, TKO, R2
40 year old semi retired Brunson is too slow now. I am not impressed with Dricus, and he will get taken down, but I think Brunson gasses before he does. Dricus punched himself out in the Till fight and I expect a better pacing here. If Brunson gets hit a few times hard I expect him to curl up, and unless he finishes Dricus early I don't see this going well for him.

Araujo vs. Ribas
Viviane Araujo, DEC
Very very hard to predict. And I think this will go to decision and will depend on what the judges are looking for. Volume vs damage. No doubt Ribas will have better volume but Vivi will have more power and wrestling. She will also be stronger in the clinch. I lean Viv, even a KO is possible, but this is a close one

Marquez vs. Barriault
Julian Marquez, TKO, R2
I think Marquez is going to surprise some people here and I think he is going to finish Powerbar. Clinch work is going to be important here and I don't think MAB can hurt Marquez as much as Marquez can hurt MAB

Machado Garry vs. Song
Ian Machado Garry, TKO, R2
Garry will win, maybe even with grappling, but I think this could extend and even go to decision, though I think a later finish is likely. Song is better than he showed in the Griffin fight but he is coming back after a long lay off.

Martinez vs. Saaiman
Cameron Saaiman, SUB, R3
Mana is good but he looked awful on the scales. I think Saaiman will actually be faster and more dynamic with his striking and he seems to have a good chin. Also if Mana gets taken down he stays on his back.

Penne vs. Ricci
Tabatha Ricci, DEC
Penne is too old and will get dominated by Ricci who is a tank

Basharat vs. Blackshear
Farid Basharat, DEC
Damon is good. But I think Farid is the better of the Basharats and the better striker and more likely to find a finish. Damon has somewhat suspect cardio and that will not be good here.

Radzhabov vs. Ribovics
Loik Radzhabov, DEC
Loiks chin vs Ribovics power. Loiks chin wins and he takes it down early and often. He was ready for The Ultimate Fighter so this is not really that short a notice fight as many think

@danromanick he will definitely be in the top 15 because of his attributes, but he’s really not that good. He’s a fun fighter tho I’ll give him that; he’s yet to have a boring fight

Predictions: 12 of 14 Winners, 6 Perfect, 815 Points   |   Tied for 317th

Gamrot vs. Turner
Mateusz Gamrot, DEC
Wouldn't surprised if Turner if pulls it off

Garbrandt vs. Jones
Trevin Jones, TKO, R3
Worrying pick for me, not too sure

Araujo vs. Ribas
Amanda Ribas, DEC
50/50. Ribas' chin my get caught and it'll let me down here

Marquez vs. Barriault
Marc-André Barriault, DEC
Leaning Barriault to be too defensive to get finished early but it could happen. If it doesn't, I suspect Barriault to drown him as the rounds go on
