That fight was 10 seconds from being stopped. All standing it up did was prolong the beating and damage sustained. Dumb af.

I agree. That was about as good as that fight could have gone for Elkins. He should have got finished but fought really well. That was a lopsided fight to begin with but gives JSP another nice feather in his cap.

Agreed. He's slow and sloppy but he avoided getting finished in dangerous situations, landed nice shots, and got the better of the close range exchanges.

Why are we still giving Diakiese favorable matchups 🗿 he’s like the complete opposite of JSP. A striker who became a boring lay and pray grappler that doesn’t even think about looking for a finish

Elkins always showed he had heart and that while all the time he fought he came to pull the comeback, but unless he has opponents with whom his wrestling/grappling can be effective, it is almost impossible for him to achieve positive results. So many years of punishment have taken their toll on Darren, I don't doubt that Elkins loves to fight and everything that involves it, but it's time to retire. There is life after retirement and if Elkins keeps fighting it will only amplify the consequences of a multi-concussion career.
