Levy's cardio wasn't that bad, Valdez is just a zombie. Most guys wouldn't be coming on stronger after being nearly stopped like three times.

Controversial Thought: I can realistically see Darren Elkins winning. Him and Pearce are both violent cardio-grapplers with nasty elbows. Skill wise, Pearce is better, this could potentially end up being a stalemate in some form.

Nah Levy landed more in the 3rd and then decided to take him down because he knew he wouldn't be able to keep up with that pace for the whole round. He definitely won all 5 minutes in the 3rd

I think Elkins' run is coming to an end. The guy bleeds worse than Nate Diaz, and his grinding is less and less effective. Plus Pearce has the size and strength.

My logic behind it being a point fighting contest was that Valdez would change his gameplan largely due to suffering his first loss in devastating fashion. Add that with Natan being a relatively patient kicker and I was expecting a fairly forgettable bout.

Simply can't like Levy

I don't know why just can't force myself to like that guy, I will admit his kicks are sleek not signaled and are reaching the point, but once the heat is on and there is no space for technique he looks for a clinch and take down just for control time not even thinking about finish (gnp or sub) typical control time. Anyone with experience and skills to cut the distance and put pressure on with hands is taking him out not even talking about grapples used to fighting from guard.
