The UFC scheduled for this event to have 9 prelim fights in 3 hours. Now they do expect cancellations and fights that don't go the distance of course. However if there were to be 9 decision fights, that would leave 3 minutes to fill per fight, 27 in total for this card since a decision fight is a minimum 17 minutes with the round breaks.
27 minutes is not a lot of time to get 9 pair of fighters to and in the cage and to tally score cards and announce a winner plus vacating the octagon for the next pair of fighters.

At least there would be absolutely no ad breaks. Even with 8 fights as we have it if most of them go long they wont have time for a lot of ads.

I'm following the lines on 3 dogs I haven't bet, Hill Tuivasa and Schnell. Just have to hit a set number in each case for me to take a stab at them. Hill is already above it but maybe the line will widen further.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 10 of 14 Winners, 4 Perfect, 705 Points   |   Tied for 148th

Thompson vs. Holland
Stephen Thompson, DEC
Been on a break but it's nice to come back to an amazing card. I have a good feeling about this one. This could go one of 2 ways if Holland does not wrestle. Kevin catches WB early as he is coming in, but more likely I think WB does what WB does and controls the range and distance and out strikes Holland. Even if Holland tries to wrestle I think WB is good enough to keep it standing. In a striker vs striker match I am taking WB even at his age and hope he has not slowed down too much.

dos Anjos vs. Barberena
Rafael dos Anjos, SUB, R2
This is a gimme fight for RDA I think. He is better everywhere. Bryan has been lucky with his last few wins I think but his luck runs out here.

Nicolau vs. Schnell
Matheus Nicolau, TKO, R2
Nicolau is really good. Schnell is good too but not at the level of Nicolau. Nicolau pieces him up from the outside and finds the KO blow.

Tuivasa vs. Pavlovich
Tai Tuivasa, TKO, R2
I truly think that Tuivasa is the better striker here, despite the reach disadvantage. And he has fought the much better opposition. I think Tai leg kicks, clinches and brawls negating the reach of Pavlovich.

Hermansson vs. Dolidze
Jack Hermansson, DEC
I think Dolidze is getting found out here. Jack is elite. And he has the grappling to not get submitted by Dolidze. On the feet Jack should be too crafty to get caught and I think Dolidze will slow down after the first.

Anders vs. Daukaus
Eryk Anders, TKO, R2
I am not sure what to make of Daukaus. For sure he is over rated. And unlike a lot of people I do not think he was in any way winning the Holland fight before the no contest. I think Kyle has to get a submission to win, and I think Anders will keep it on the feet if he wants, out strike and out muscle him in the clinch and win this. Daukaus is not Muniz.

Price vs. Rowe
Philip Rowe, TKO, R2
I think Price is too slow now. One Rowe gets his range I think he is clipping Price

Hill vs. Ducote
Angela Hill, DEC
I am done doubting Hill. This is going to a decision and I think Angela has more than enough to handle Ducote's wrestling which is average and I actually think she could be better in the striking. Close fight though.

Guida vs. Holtzman
Scott Holtzman, DEC
I have been rather impressed by what I saw of Holtzman on watching tape and less impressed with Guida. Though the lay off, age and the fact it's his last fight make me not want to bet anything on Holtzman. He is open to get KOd but is Guida likely to do what Gamrot and Dariush did? I will be impressed if he does

Johnson vs. Diakiese
Marc Diakiese, DEC
Johnson is better than everyone is giving him credit for but Diakeise is going to wrestle rinse and repeat and Johsnon won't be able to keep up

Elkins vs. Pearce
Jonathan Pearce
I think Pearce gets him out of there. I saw some YouTube cappers saying they think Pearce is the new version of Elkins. I don't understand that. I think Pearce is way better.

Levy vs. Valdéz
Natan Levy, SUB, R2
If Levy stays safe for 1 round he has this

Marshall vs. Rojo
Francis Marshall, DEC
Rojo's weakness is take downs and Marshall has takedowns. My one concern is Francis is very very hittable but he has shown a good chin so far

Jauregui vs. Nunes
Yazmin Jauregui, TKO, R3
I think this will be a very very good and close fight, until it's not. Yazmin is the real deal. And I think she can hold her own in the striking with Nunes. I expect Nunes to get tired after round 2 and I think Yazmin takes over. Also I think Yazmin wrestles. I think she has wrestling ability and Nunes cannot defend a takedown. That said my first fight of the night is almost always wrong so would not be surprised to see Nunes win here

Do you guys remember how the commentators where tripping over themselves talking about what an amazing fight it was the first time Jauregui fought in the UFC, on the main card? In what was a rather pedestrian 115 lbs kickboxing match.

Now she has advanced from the main card to.. first fight of the night.
