If Daukaus can't get that KO in the first 2 rounds, I think he is in for a long day at the office.

You're good. I just wanted to clarify.

And be on the look out for Jennifer Maia to look more like a +150 dog rather than the +400 or wherever she will end up.  Women's MMA is a ************ to bet, I swear to God!

The thing with Joanne Wood, Jennifer Maia and Sara McMann being dogs in their fights is that they are all veterans who have fought everyone so since it's women's MMA and the talent disparity is not that great, I can see at least one of those veteran dogs winning.  Especially if one of those underdog ladies have a wrestling or grappling advantage over the other.

I wouldn't bet Maia on this one. People might think because of my argument to bet the value that I would be on her since I agree the line is too wide.

However I also have to see a path to victory and I can't really see it for Maia. She's had 2 chances to fight a better striker with reach adv in Kaitlyn Chookagian and in both instances she plodded her way to UD loss trying to shotobox without the TDs.
What edge does Maia have? She's a worse striker with a slight disadvantage in height and reach, she's older, she has less output with less accuracy, gets hit more often with worse defense and gets an average of 0.25 TDs per fight because she insists on keeping it standing even if she's losing.
I suppose if she could get it to the ground she has better BJJ? I have no idea what Fiorot's BJJ skills are.

Just looking at Fiorot though she has the densely packed muscles of a man, her body just looks hard. I bet she's strong as **** so I don't even necessarily think Maia has an advantage in that department. That will work against Maia in any grappling situations.

Just checking stats right now and apparently Fiorot has almost 2 TDs per 15 and Maia has a 56% TDD. Normally I'd like to watch tape before I take all these stats too seriously but I think every single known factor points to a Fiorot victory.

Then again let's play devil's advocate, it's a big dog in WMMA. Statistics is probably on your side if you bet Maia. I wasn't impressed with Fiorot in her last outing and maybe Maia actually comes out with a better fight IQ and gameplan this time around, who knows?

I tend to agree. I think it has to do with motivation a lot of the time. Some fighters aren't just doing everything they can to win. They have additional goals in a fight such as having fun or testing themselves or proving some point.
Sometimes being on the chopping block to get cut or just to get out of a bad streak of losses that can be enough motivation to be smarter but not always.
