Herbert vs. Topuria
Jai Herbert, DEC
Jai uses a home field advantage in this main card opener to show he is a real competitor at 155. Ilia has some success with his grappling and fence pressing but learns that he's best suited for Featherweight in a close and possibly controversial 29-28 Dec

There is more striking that one would expect here as Grundy is able to overcome the sinking Mr. Finland whose downward trajectory has him being released from the UFC

Jai Herbert will beat Topuria..

Predictions: 6 of 9 Winners, 1 Perfect, 380 Points   |   Tied for 3526th

I can't believe 94% of tapology are in favour of Topuria tbh. Herbert is 6"1 while Topuria is 5"7, that's a 6 inch height advantage. He's also got a 77 inch reach compared to Topurias 69 inch reach, that's an 8 inch reach advantage and Herbert is fighting in his usual weight class while Ilia is going up a class and too top it off Herbert will be fighting in his backyard with a **** tonne of hooligan support. There's only one way I think Topuria can win and that is to jump on Jai like a spider monkey and submit him quick.

Just going to say, I think it stupid to think that a 10lb weight advantage is not going to help Herbett stop the takedown, Herbatt should still get wrestle, But Topuria will have a harder time then if they were the same weight. And you have to facter that into betting, I think fighter in Topuria spot is usually dog or pass, And I think Topuria is no diffrent,  Short notice and up a weight class is a dangerous spot, And Topuria has my respect for taking it

I will also say, I can tell alot of Tapology has never done grappling before, Because then you will know how much weight and stregth factor into it

@damienhandel420 wait people think Loopy sucks because she lost to Carolina? I think stock is high in Loopy at the moment. She won her next bout and has a very tough fight versus Carnelossi coming up.

As for Topuria, I think he has mentioned he is only going up to 155 for more activity. So you are right that 145 is his weight class still.  He may be overlooking his opponent.

Problem with that analogy: Jai lives and dies by the jab cross. One of the most underrated counters for a cross is a double leg, a technique a lot of fighters seem to ignore for whatever reason. Moicano however, exploited the living **** out of this technique in their fight and suffocated him as a result. Now, Topuria isn’t as good of a grappler as Moicano, but his reflexes are sharp as **** and sometimes that’s all it takes to beat the bigger man.
