>Just seems weird and also disrespectful to put ranked fighters in the prelims.
Far from it. Chael has a video somewhere on his channel where he goes over this, basically if you fight on ESPN prelims you have a chance to have more people watch you fight than you would if you were on the main PPV card. There are obviously exceptions to this, like a potential Conor McGregor PPV, but most of the time you will have ESPN prelims have viewership numbers reported anywhere from 700k to 1 million, while most PPV cards sell about 300k-600k. Depending on the situation, a fighter on the prelims could end up having twice as many people watch them fight than the people in the PPV main event lol

Tom Aspinall, SUB, R3
This will test Aspinall's striking the best so far. He seems to be the future of HW and he's taking a smart approach to his climb up the ranks, so I'm hoping he doesn't end up falling apart like Till did. He also has the same dumb tendency Till does where he kinda will stick his arms straight out and just lean back on punches, so I want to see what he does against a very sharp striker like Volkov who is tall and long. I think Aspinall either submits him or Volkov knocks him the **** out all inside 3 rounds. Please MMA Gods no more boring decision main events.
Allen vs. Hooker
Arnold Allen, SUB, R1
Dan is crazy long for this division but I question this move down more than I did with Aldo to BW and Barboza to FW, I just don't understand what Dan is thinking. Anyways the threat and danger of uppercuts and knees is always there, and Dan has some good triangles and guillotines, but I think Arnold just walks through him. I don't see how a depleted Hooker with so much damage will withstand a real FW that's in his prime. If Arnold doesn't get it done inside one round I think Dan just goes through a woodchipper, just comes out in pieces the longer it goes. Dude will get crushed, not drowned.
Pimblett vs. Vargas
Rodrigo Vargas, TKO, R1
Paddy has grappling skills but it seems when you hit him clean in the face all that goes out the window and he just brawls you like a drunk at a bar. The guy will probably give us fun fights but I think he gets knocked the **** out.
Nelson vs. Sato
Takashi Sato, TKO, R1
I think it's a tough fight for Nelson. If he loses this I don't think the UFC is right for him anymore.
Herbert vs. Topuria
Ilia Topuria, TKO, R1
let's see if he'll hit harder in the cage than he does in the kitchen
Abdurakhimov vs. Pavlovich
Sergei Pavlovich, TKO, R1
Shamil can send this man to another planet with one punch. I think the young dude gets it done but one mistake and he's on the highlight reel.
Krylov vs. Craig
Paul Craig, SUB, R2
Craig reminds me of GM3, crafty submission guy who I can't predict for ****. I basically flipped a coin.

Muhammad Mokaev
Though Durden has the ability to stall and hold on to Mokaev, the debuting fighter should be able to work his way into control time and an eventual decision.

McCann will be amped for this and likely be in control early before her large and underrated opponent starts to take over. McCann ends up crashing and burning in a fan friendly bout.

Allen's size and cardio combination should be enough here in a close fight which leaves him bloodied yet more in tune with the type of showcase needed to build a name for one's self

Tom Aspinall, TKO, R3
Beating the massive Volkov is no easy feat, but Aspinall will bring a tough blend of power, speed, and movement that is sure to give the large Russian mounds of trouble.
