It's up there due to expectations too it think. Many were gearing themselves up for a tactical grappling chess match that would be hard to describe as thrilling yet we were treated to an all out brawl. I think it benefits Usman if he's able to contain the chaos (no pun intended) and turn it in to a pure boxing fight

I think people are forgetting Colby will improve a lot in 2 years also, Just because you haven't seen it because he only fought once, Doesn't mean he didn't improve. I think people think only Usman improve because you can physically see it with him fighting a lot more.

The question for improvment thing, Is who improve more, I say Usman still as his improvement is pretty crazy

I'm fine with all your fights besides iaquinta vs green. No way in **** he beats Bobby in a 3 round fight after a 3 year layoff when Bobby is having a resurgence in his career. This is clearly obvious

I'm so glad I didn't put a lot money on Justin Gaethje, Even though I think this is a stylistic layup for Gaethje, So I think the odds are good on him. My biggest worry is Gaethje is doing a lot of complaining on twitter about his postion in the division, I swear every-time someone does this, They end up getting embarrassed, I think the real reason for this happening is that they looking pass they opponent, If he looks pass Chandler he get KO'D bad, Chandler hit really hard, Justin need to be on his A-game still. MMA is all about mindset

Also I don't think Gaethje wrong, I'm still a huge fan of Justin, I'm a fan of both Justin and Chandler before people call me a hater. I just notice trend

Here an example of Gaethje twitter red flags- I can't think of an example of someone twetting like this and winning

Williams vs. Garry
Ian Garry, TKO, R1
I think I know exactly how this fight will go, Williams will be trying to press forward as he always does but it won't work as Garry's footwork will be too good and he'll be able to stick on the outside and use his long range to pick apart Williams and land his big counters. Think Garry can get a finish here, Williams is just so hittable and can get hit

Shahbazyan vs. Imavov
Edmen Shahbazyan, TKO, R1
This is close, Imavov has looked good but I can see him struggling with the hand speed and power of Edmen. Edmen has some good hands and is also very dangerous early, I can see him connecting a couple times on Imavov at the start, Imavov relies on his footwork and fast counters to move out the way of shots but his hands are so low which means I believe Edmen can set something up in this fight. Close fight though, wouldn't be shocked if Imavov looks good but I've just seen more out of Edmen

I dont think there will be a lot of upsets on this card but I feel like there are a lot of spots where the underdog is going to shine through/make the odds much closer than they are currently. I think Edgar and shahbazyan will pull off a win. I have chandler on topology but im not super confident he gets it done. I also think billy q and Andreas michalidis have much more of a chance than people are giving them; that being said, I still have them losing their fights.

Hawes vs. Curtis
Phil Hawes, TKO, R2
I do think Hawes controls this fight, Curtis is a little too patient on the feet for me and against Hawes who's bigger, hits harder it's not gonna really work. Especially when Curtis is having to worry about a takedown threat in this one too. Hawes should get this done, Curtis isn't a MW and should be fighting at WW, think Hawes can catch Curtis on the feet and hurt him

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 7 of 14 Winners, 1 Perfect, 415 Points   |   Tied for 3812th

Usman vs. Covington II
Kamaru Usman, TKO, R4
going into a worse gym improves your chances of winning a title at the highest level of combat sports. Oh wait it doesn't.

Namajunas vs. Zhang II
Weili Zhang, DEC
I'm hoping for Zhang to grow a brain and use her physicality but it's a chinese fighter so I'm not expecting much. -10000 Social Credit score and Namajunas will win by KO (even if my pick is Zhang)

Gaethje vs. Chandler
Justin Gaethje, TKO, R2
I guess Gaethe is going to take away that range that Chandler wants and after 3 minutes the biggest danger is gone when Chandler blows his load while thinking about how good of a father he is.

Burgos vs. Quarantillo
Shane Burgos, TKO, R2
Burgos with his back against the wall in his home turf. Win by stoppage unless his brain blue screens again.

Edgar vs. Vera
Frankie Edgar, DEC
40 years doesn't matter when you're a mini-man. Vera seems like a bum who has just been lucky. I remember when his best career performance was KOing Brad ******* Pickett.

Michailidis vs. Pereira
Alex Pereira, TKO, R2
Feta cheese gets smashed. Fought very bad UFC fighters and lost to one of them.

Iaquinta vs. Green
Al Iaquinta, SUB, R3
Iaquinta grapple****s Bobby Green while Serra pops a blood vessel in his shiny bald head.

Hawes vs. Curtis
Phil Hawes, TKO, R1
Phil Hawes lookin' like that local jail drug dealer smoking clone.

Shahbazyan vs. Imavov
Nassourdine Imavov, DEC
HEAD MOVEMENT, HEAD MOVEMENT!

Williams vs. Garry
Ian Garry, TKO, R2
Diabeetus empowering hype fails

Villante vs. Barnett
Gian Villante, DEC
Chris Barnett apparently had a very good camp and has been training his cardio at the Popeyes drive-thru. dude looked like he ran a marathon after 4 minutes in his last fight, all of his opponents he won have been garbage and if Villante is smart he can lay and pray his way to victory with the home crowd.

Jacoby vs. Allan
Dustin Jacoby, TKO, R2
Jacoby wins just because he has a better walkout song.

Baghdasaryan vs. Souza
Bruno Souza, DEC
why is this fight in this card? flip a coin and make it land on the brazilian, cuz he's brazilian.

Vergara vs. Osbourne
C.J. Vergara, TKO, R1
Short stocky guy versus a lanky dude with reach. CJ early or Osbourne late, usually the first fight of the night is an upset so **** it CJ KO early.
