Still got PTSD from last week, there are a also more than a few fights on here where it's 50/50
Hardest fight to predict for me is Casey Kenny vs. Song, Aldo vs. Munhoz, some of the rest are just mind ******* me.

Predictions: 11 of 13 Winners, 6 Perfect, 755 Points   |   Tied for 30th with 2 others

Lewis vs. Gane
Ciryl Gane, TKO, R3
could be another comeback ko, but gane hasn't shown weakness yet. was gonna say he plays it safe again, but i'll instead say he's gonna hurt derrick at some point.

Aldo vs. Munhoz
José Aldo, DEC
not kicking as much past few years, but his boxing is still good enough to win the outside fight and tdd hopefully still holds up.

Luque vs. Chiesa
Michael Chiesa, SUB, R2
dos anjos and magny are good wins for sure, probably better wins than 2021 woodley, and chiesa almost always finds a way to take the back. so it's a question of luque's tdd and he's been taken down by much worse grapplers but has always gotten up and finished them after. i'm gonna hedge and pick chiesa but root for luque.

Torres vs. Hill II
Tecia Torres, DEC
hard to gauge tecia's recent appearances just based off level of competition, but her striking has looked sharp and i think she can mix in opportunistic td attempts. not expecting hill to be able to land too flush.

Song vs. Kenney
Yadong Song, DEC
should be some fun scrambles, think song is being overlooked a bit seeing how he beat vera while kenney's best win is borg or wood.

Fiziev vs. Green
Rafael Fiziev, DEC
battle of who can no-sell his opponent's strikes better. i'll say fiziev does his matrix thing once or twice, lands the bigger shots, but ultimately ends up respecting bobby's power and commitment to solely countering.

Rodriguez vs. Morales
Vince Morales, DEC
mmamath totally makes sense and will be proven here. really though, morales' losses are kinda understandable and drako had been fighting questionable competition before contender series.

Herman vs. Menifield
Alonzo Menifield, TKO, R1
menifield may very well blow his tank early again and end up getting subbed.

Kowalkiewicz vs. Penne
Karolina Kowalkiewicz, DEC
another fight that will hinge on tdd. karolina "should" be able to stay outside and easily win the striking, but not much faith in her ability to stay off her back so not confident.

Kape vs. Osbourne
Manel Kape, TKO, R2
kape might be looking for any/every advantage with the weight miss coming off 2 losses and i'm not sure ode will put him on his back.

Johns vs. dos Santos
Miles Johns, DEC
gonna need to see more than the win over martin day before picking anderson.

Leonardo vs. Gatto
Melissa Gatto, SUB, R2
screw it, gonna take the popular pick here. gatto has a decent win in retrospect over rosa and leonardo has been handled by 2 good grapplers prior in blanchfield and maverick.

Munoz Jr. vs. Simmons
Johnny Munoz Jr., DEC
no shame losing to giga, but thinking this is all munoz if he has fixed his gas tank.

Lewis vs. Gane
Derrick Lewis, TKO, R5
I got 2/10 last week so ignore everything I say in my analysis, I might be a moron. That being said, Lewis by last minute KO after losing 5 rounds

Aldo vs. Munhoz
José Aldo, TKO, R2
The king is back, baby!

Luque vs. Chiesa
Vicente Luque, SUB, R2
Leg kicks to slow him down, body punches to bend him over, D'arce.

Torres vs. Hill II
Tecia Torres, DEC
Almost all Angela Hill fights come down to volume, and Torres is going to land more shots.

Song vs. Kenney
Casey Kenney, DEC
Kenney is gonna stuff takedowns and roundhouse Song's ribs until they're purple

Fiziev vs. Green
Rafael Fiziev, TKO, R1
I think Green is finally gonna get blasted with something he can't withstand for once, Fiziev hits incredibly hard and accurately.

Herman vs. Menifield
Alonzo Menifield, TKO, R1
Pretty sure this fight is going to retire Ed for good

Kowalkiewicz vs. Penne
Jessica Penne, DEC
Kowalkiewicz has looked like she was in a trance her last few fights, just barely doing enough to technically be in a fight but nothing more. I can't rely on her to win enough to pick her, and I can't imagine betting her at favored odds.

Kape vs. Osbourne
Manel Kape, TKO, R1
Osbourne isn't as dangerous as anyone Kape faced in Rizin in my opinion, and I think he lost his first UFC fights because they were on short notice. I see him getting back on track here

Lewis vs. Gane
Derrick Lewis, TKO, R1
So..... Gane wins this. Most of the time, if they had like 5 fights. But this time, in Lewis's backyard, the anxiety that comes with the belt can make this really interesting. I actually think Lewis can find the shot.

Aldo vs. Munhoz
José Aldo, DEC
Aldo. His brilliant striking and fight iq is what got him to the hall of fame.

Luque vs. Chiesa
Vicente Luque, TKO, R3
Yeahh.... I'll take luque. Mike is gonna make him wooork though.

Torres vs. Hill II
Tecia Torres, DEC
Torres all day. I think Angela is over the hill.

Song vs. Kenney
Casey Kenney, DEC
Gimme Kenney.

Fiziev vs. Green
Rafael Fiziev, DEC
Fiziev strikes again.

Rodriguez vs. Morales
Drako Rodriguez, DEC
Gimme Rodriguez....

Herman vs. Menifield
Alonzo Menifield, TKO, R1
I think Herman's bad weight cut blows up in his face.

Kowalkiewicz vs. Penne
Karolina Kowalkiewicz, DEC
Sheeesh. Tough one. Gimme Karolina.

Kape vs. Osbourne
Ode Osbourne, TKO, R2
Gimme Ode.

Johns vs. dos Santos
Miles Johns, DEC
Gimme Johns, but I would prefer that he'd stay away from the grappling early....

Leonardo vs. Gatto
Victoria Leonardo, TKO, R3
If Victoria gets her wrestling going, Gatto will be in biiig trouble.

Lewis vs. Gane
Ciryl Gane, DEC
Derrick Lewis is one of my favorite fighters, but you have to be honest: I hope I'm wrong but his chances are highly unlikely. Against Curtis Blaydes I mentioned the fact that Lewis had a good chance of surprising the odds because Blaydes could dominate at the start of the fight but once he will go for the shoot he was done (and indeed Lewis caught Blaydes with a vicious uppercut in the moment Curtis looked for the shoot). Lewis has an impressive record against wrestlers and grapplers (like Oleinik, Gonzaga and Blaydes to mention). but against Strikers his reality is different: against Strikers of a technical level similar to Gane I only remember his victory against Volkov at UFC 229, against JDS he looked very bad in striking exchanges. I do not see Cyril Gane doing a fight similar to the one he did against Jairzinho, I think Derrick Lewis will suffer the same fate as against Mark Hunt where the last rounds will be of notorious dominance for his rival only that probably Gane will not risk a counter of Lewis. Derrick Lewis just needs a good counter punch and follow up to win her over, but Gane is a fighter who usually doesn't leave much space available for them. It would be amazing to see the hometown hero win the belt, but usually this does not happen in the UFC (good example Werdum in UFC 198).

Luque vs. Chiesa
Vicente Luque, SUB, R2
At first glance Luque vs. Chiesa seems to be a classic matchup between striker vs. grappler. But Vicente Luque is a rare class of fighter: although he receives more strikes than he throws (by a slight margin of difference) but he possesses great KO power and an excellent jaw (only being knocked down by Bryan Barberena and Stephen Thompson and never knocked out during his career), on the ground Luque has a great effectiveness of successful takedowns and a decent takedown defense in addition to having a high percentage of submissions (mainly uncommon chokes) and an excellent Defensive BJJ. I think Chiesa's strategy is very clear: try to control Luque on the ground for as long as possible, something that few fighters have achieved, only Michael Graves (in Luque's debut in the UFC) and Leon Edwards (who got a 29-28 after being dominated on the ground by Luque in the first round). I think that at the beginning the takedowns strategy can be useful for Chiesa but as the minutes go by, Luque can find the timing for an uppercut or use the sprawl to pass a D'Arce choke or anaconda choke. Chiesa has been subjected in the past and believes that the fact that Luque is a specialist in powerful chokes that can put you to sleep or make you tap fast (like D'Arce Choke) is the reason that leads me to make my prediction.
