Predictions: 5 of 12 Winners, 2 Perfect, 315 Points   |   Tied for 2622nd

Oliveira vs. Chandler
Michael Chandler, TKO, R1
I was leaning Oliveira at first but the more I think about it, Chandler will win. Chandler is good under pressure and I think Oliveira is going to attack for a sub and Chandler will clip him.

Ferguson vs. Dariush
Beneil Dariush, DEC
I think Dariush beats Ferguson here. Dariush is much better than Ferguson at this point. I could even see Dariush knocking Ferguson out.

Hermansson vs. Shahbazyan
Jack Hermansson, SUB, R2
Another big step up for Edmen. If he couldn’t handle Brunson he will not be able to handle Hermansson.

Chookagian vs. Araujo
Katlyn Chookagian, DEC
This fight will be very close but I think Chookagian edges it out.

Burgos vs. Barboza
Edson Barboza, TKO, R1
This fight will be a banger and I can’t wait for it! One guy is going to sleep and I think Burgos is going to get dropped with a huge bomb from Barboza.

Souza vs. Muniz
Ronaldo Souza, SUB, R1
Jacare is awesome. I see him getting it done by submission.

Schnell vs. Bontorin
Matt Schnell, DEC
Why did Matt Schnell open up as a -165 favorite here? Bontorin was doing fine last fight and almost pulled off a submission until he got knocked out. I think Schnell wins this if it stays standing and I think that’s what is going to happen because both guys are very good on the mat and they’ll respect that. This fight will be closer than what the odds are saying.

Grundy vs. Vannata
Mike Grundy, DEC
He’s just going to wrestle Vannata the whole fight and win a decision.

Lee vs. Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko, DEC
This fight could go either way. I think Shevchenko wins but -185 is kinda high. Andrea Lee is better than her record shows.

Pickett vs. Wright
Jordan Wright, DEC
Pickett has very low output and I don’t think Wright is all that good. Wright will throw more and probably win a decision.

Mazany vs. Cachoeira
Gina Mazany, DEC
Mazany is going to win this fight but Cachoeira can throw. Could Cachoeira knock Mazany out? That would be her only way to a W here against Mazany.

Aguilar vs. Lutz
Kevin Aguilar, DEC
Lutz is tough but his previous opponents are legit trash cans. Aguilar will probably be cut if he loses this fight against Lutz but he has fought some really tough opponents. Aguilar takes home a decision victory.

Soriano vs. Giagos
Christos Giagos, DEC
I’m picking Giagos here but I would not be surprised at all if Soriano gets a huge upset W in his UFC debut.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 4 of 12 Winners, 0 Perfect, 200 Points   |   Tied for 3707th

Oliveira vs. Chandler
Charles Oliveira, SUB, R3
I dont think Olives will be in trouble on the standup, and I think he can submit Chandler from the bottom or top with some difficulty.

Ferguson vs. Dariush
Tony Ferguson, TKO, R3
Hoping tony can make a turnaround but benny is really tough

Hermansson vs. Shahbazyan
Jack Hermansson, SUB, R2
I think hermansson could get a quick submission in the first round but round 2 seems more likely

Chookagian vs. Araujo
Viviane Araujo, DEC
I just dont like chookagian

Burgos vs. Barboza
Shane Burgos, DEC
I think this fight will be a war till the very end, with burgos getting a decision win, maybe even a split decision thats controversial

Souza vs. Muniz
André Muniz, TKO, R2
Really think souza shouldve retired after his fight with holland, suffered a pretty bad tko at his age. Dont think he can make a turn around.

Schnell vs. Bontorin
Matt Schnell, DEC
Pretty random pick for me. I think this fight could go either way

Grundy vs. Vannata
Lando Vannata, TKO, R3
I havnt seen grundy fight or just dont remember seeing him, so might as well go with lando

Lee vs. Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko, TKO, R3
Most likely will go to decision, but i think antonina could get late tko with ground and pound

Pickett vs. Wright
Jamie Pickett, TKO, R3
Could see late tko by pickett but not completely confident on it. Could see wright taking a decision win

Mazany vs. Cachoeira
Gina Mazany, DEC
coin toss here

Aguilar vs. Lutz
Tucker Lutz, TKO, R3
I like lutz chances in this bout, late tko or decision

Soriano vs. Giagos
Sean Soriano, TKO, R3
I think soriano could get early ko, or survive lay and pray for late tko

Predictions: 9 of 12 Winners, 3 Perfect, 555 Points   |   Tied for 113th

Ferguson vs. Dariush
Beneil Dariush, DEC
I can't really see either fighter getting finished as I think one would have to gas out for the other to get a finish but don't think fatigue will really be a factor for either fighter but going on their recent performances, Tony Ferguson has looked disappointing in his last couple of fights and while I'm not quite ready to say that time is catching up with him completely, he started to show a little bit of decline in his performances which is typical of a 37 year old fighter after a long career. As for Beneil Dariush on the other hand, he has been going from strength to strength recently and while you could make an argument that he should've lost against Diego Ferreira, I believe that he did enough to get the win in that one. On the basis of recent form, I'm expecting a slightly more comfortable decision win for him in this fight.

Most unpredictable UFC card of the year so far.

I like Grundy at -125 tbh and quite a lot of slight underdogs.

Looking at Oliveira's fights.... It doesn't look great. Not that Michael Chandler's history is any better.

The last great fighter he met (besides washed up Ferguson) was Felder, and he lost quite handily.

I'm picking Chandler, but I would never bet on this fight.

@MrJuicyyPants
His last fight was against Minus on 2 days notice. He dominated round 1 and 2. He got tired round 3, due to the short notice but he still won that round. What pitiful performance are you talking about? Giagos has 8 weeks of prep this time, while his opponent only has 5 days as Sean Soriano is on short notice.

I don't understand why people think Tony Ferguson is washed up.  The guy was undefeated for a long time and has now lost to two elite fighters.  It happens to everyone.  This is not the same as the Donald Cerrone situation, Donald was getting TKO'd several times already before the Morono fight.

Dustin Poirier went through the same thing and recovered.  Beneil Dariush went through the same thing and recovered.  Rafael Dos Anjos went through the same thing and recovered.  Charles Oliveira and Michael Chandler themselves lost 2 or 3 in a row in their own careers as well and recovered.  There's also a guy called Jorge Masvidal, remember him?  He lost 2 in a row several times in his career and was literally a journeyman until he fought Till/Askren/Diaz.

Not everyone can be Khabib or Jon Jones.

It's not like Tony is getting knocked out in the first round by mid level fighters.  He took the hardest shots from Justin until the end of the 5th round and the ref had saw enough.  He took a vicious armbar from one of the best BJJ artists in his division and still survived.

I think he wins on Saturday.  In fact, I think he will get a finish somehow in a crazy Tony Ferguson way and the fans will believe in him again.

Worst case scenario for the UFC

Chandler wins the belt and for the next 3 months we have to hear Pitbull talk about how he's the best in the world.

@depmode33 I think the Ferguson "hate" if you will or washed up comments come from the fact that he's 37.5 years old. He has 3 wins in the last 4 years and those come against Cowboy the guy you just admitted was toast. Pettis who at the time it seemed decent but looking at it now and the fact Collard just beat the piss out of him for 14 mins doesn't look all that great. Kevin does his typical gas from staph and melt late in the fight. None of the guys you mentioned in the second paragraph that came back from losses are almost 40 years old. I'm not a Tony hater and by no means a Tony fan but I personally think that Gaethje beating changed his life. I don't think he will be nearly the same he used to be after that one. I think that beating was part of the reason Charles made it look so easy. If Dariush beats him this weekend he's gonna have some serious soul searching to do.
