Kape disappointed me with his gunshy-ness last time, however he's a very solid striker, who's boxing is honestly probably one of the best in the division. I hope he shows it here and I do think this is a very winnable fight for him either way. However he is on short notice and Nicolau is definitely no joke.

Leon Edward is why It's can bad to be a boring fighter. 8 fight winning streak, Ranked number 4 and wins over Luque, RDA, Cerrone and Nelson.  Now he fighting a guy not in the top 10, Short Notice yes. But Khamzat is not even ranked so it an improvement. Edward doesn't even make 100k so It not like he make money either.
Edward will make money, If he become champ, But good luck beating Usman or even getting to Usman if the UFC kept giving you **** fights because he has no fans.

Not saying I agree with it, But it just facts what Im saying.Winning is also Important because you don't want to be a Mike Perry where you're pure entertainment and no wins because you get cut, But I think a happy medium is good, More Entertaining you are, The More Incline the UFC are to give you better fight, and pay you more. But you need to win to climb the ladder  Can't blame them because UFC is a business and boring fighter don't make revenue.

Am I crazy for wanting to fade Dan Ige? He gets way too much respect on the lines. He was like a -250 favorite over Ryan Hall. For what? He's small and has to overcommit to big punches to close distance, but he also doesn't have the power to finish top fighters. I don't know what I'm not seeing...

I am super biased, but Gavin Tucker is one of my favorite featherweight prospects, he's just a lot of fun to watch. Now, He's pretty up there in age so I am full on rooting for him to win the fight cause otherwise it might be too late to make a run for the rankings. And in my opinion, Ige is one of the more beatable guys ranked so if Tucker can't get through him and at his age, he probably won't have much of a ranked run. So I for one am going to vote and root for Tucker, plus I'm confident he can do it.

@Erison it's understandable, but given the last few guys he's beat I'm fully expecting him to pick up a W over Tucker. I think his sustained pressure and grappling savvy will give Gavin fits, not to mention his cardio.

Gavin's not bad himself, but he hasn't really beat anyone on the level of Bektic or Barboza (controversial as it was) yet, Quarantillo is an overachiever imo and Jaynes hit a hail mary on Camacho. Another thing to note is that they're pretty close in terms of size, which again favors Ige. I wouldn't rule out Gavin's footwork being a deciding factor here, but I still have to side with the more active and proven guy.

Kape is even money with Nicolau,  Im steaming that line when it come out in Australia. Kape was a better fighter then Pantoja if you watch the fight and not the result. Kape was so effecent with his stand up, Just the judges side with the volume of Pantoja. Not saying it was wrong or right. But Kape improve his volume he be a monster to beat

Edwards vs. Muhammad
Leon Edwards, DEC
I actually think this is going to be a super fun decision. Kind of Covington v Usman -esque. I think Edwards takes it but Belal markedly increases his standing among fans and the UFC.

Cirkunov vs. Spann
Misha Cirkunov, SUB, R1
Come on now, if Henrique and Clark can get you down then Cirkunov is gonna ragdoll you and snag a neck and maybe an arm. I get that Cirkunov has pretty mediocre striking, there's no hiding that. But his striking defense is actually decent(ish) and he has never lost a fight where he has landed a takedown. Ever. And I bet you anything he will get Spann down. Spann's only path to victory is to starch Cirkunov out of the gate.

Predictions: 8 of 13 Winners, 3 Perfect, 520 Points   |   Tied for 496th

Cirkunov vs. Spann
Ryan Spann, TKO, R2
There have been so many times I've been left questioning how strong Misha Cirkunov's defence against strikes is and Ryan Spann is a decent striker. While I do believe that Cirkunov is a better grappler than Spann, Spann is still good enough to hold his own and has many good submission wins (Devin Clark in the UFC is the most notable) going right back to his LFA days so he has plenty of experience in that department. I can see Spann causing Cirkunov a lot of problems in this fight and striking seems to be his most logical path to victory so I think he'll find a KO through strikes in this one.

Hill vs. Yoder II
Angela Hill, DEC
This is what I picked last time before it was rescheduled and it's what I'm gonna pick again.

Nicolau vs. Kape
Manel Kape, TKO, R2
I think the deciding factor in this fight will be how fired up Manel Kape is after his recent loss against Alexandre Pantoja. I think he's gonna be motivated to take this opportunity and that's the only reason I'm picking him in this otherwise 50/50 fight.

Martinez vs. Grant
Jonathan Martinez, DEC
I hate picking against British fighters but I just can't see Davey Grant winning this. I'll hate myself if he does though.

Witt vs. Semelsberger
Jason Witt, SUB, R3
This will be my weekly "mad pick". My only theory for how this will happen is by Jason Witt forcing most of the fight onto the ground until Matthew Semelsberger gets tired and can no longer fight him off. Just a gut pick rather than a logical one.

@Stephen Terry
I don't see how Jason Witt is a "mad pick" when he's the favorite on Tapology and and barely an underdog real odds wise (+110).

Semelsberger is fairly unproven and fought mostly can, his last fight he fought Carlton Minus whos honestly horrible. Jason Witt is a fairly experiened vet and should be able to take Semelsberger to the ground. Witt's loss to Sato wasn't good but it was on 2 days notice, it happens.

Sad to not see Edwards end the hype train of Chimaev but we got the best replacement we could get on short notice. Edwards is gonna win but make this boring as ****. Then he will get upset when he doesnt get a title shot. Atleast i am happy Muhammed is agressive and comes forward. He will do his best to atleast make this fight entertaining if anything
