the only thing nates game lacks is offensive take downs, and maybe not checking leg kicks. thats about it. although he did a lot better job of checking and avoiding the leg kicks against pettis.  t

Jorge doesn't just have boxing, he has muay thai + better offensive AND defensive wrestling than Nate. He has more tools in this fight than Nate.

I'm concerned that George is spending too much time and energy on trying to be cool.

I don't know who to pick really. Both have paths to victory. I will say that Masvidal is a much tougher night out than Pettis. Honestly, a lot of this will come down to whether or not Jorge can make him pay for pressuring. Ultimately I'll probably wind up picking Gamebred with virtually no confidence.

Masvidal vs. Diaz
Jorge Masvidal, DEC
Hard fight to pick... Maybe a split decision for Masvidal.

Gastelum vs. Till
Kelvin Gastelum, TKO, R2
Till is finally in the good weight class, be he should be fighting lower competition first, like Boetsch or Carlos junior...

Thompson vs. Luque
Stephen Thompson, DEC
Thompson should win a clean decision, but that chin has been tested... Luque has a decent chance here.

Lewis vs. Ivanov
Blagoy Ivanov, DEC
If Ivanov can survive a knife in the hurt, he can survive Lewis.

Anderson vs. Walker
Johnny Walker, TKO, R1
Walker by worm dance KO !!!

Burgos vs. Amirkhani
Makwan Amirkhani, DEC
Not sure about that one.

Johnny Walker the real proper 12 !?

Predictions: 8 of 12 Winners, 3 Perfect, 490 Points   |   Tied for 762nd

Ain't no one on Corey's side here¿! Everybody with a ticket for the hype train Johnny Walker been riding so far?! I can't see really why as Corey would have won against everybody J. Walker has and would have done so in dominant fashion. I know mma math...but it's not what I am trying to say. What I am trying to say is that Corey is a far more experienced wrestler who will be able to close the distance and go for chain wrestling take downs to implement dominant ground and pound. I can see Corey Anderson fighting Jon Jones for the title next year as well, that' ll be if he won't be leapfrogged by any of these unexperienced young prospects the UFC likes to toss around (Rakic, Walker, Reyes...). Anyway I love this fight for Corey and can't w8 this card is sick!!!

Diaz by decision, I think Nate's chin and cardio will be too much for Jorge and that he'll get outworked. Gastelum Rd3 KO, Wonderboy decision, Black Beast KO in the 3rd for the memes.

You know it's a good card when you don't have to watch tape for a single fighter to make picks.

@Rombu I'm a huge Corey Anderson fan (I honestly think he should already be fighting for the title), but he is very inconsistent. I try not to play armchair psychologist with fighters, but his will or confidence or whatever you want to call seems to be a big factor in his performances. He has the tools to win nearly any fight - he has cardio, power, chain wrestling, and the pressure-striking style to empower his wrestling - it's just a matter of if he gets in the zone or whatever it takes for him to get out there and fight his fight from bell to bell, because if he freezes up in front of Walker, he's dead.

Arce vs. Dawodu
Hakeem Dawodu, DEC
Good matchup to kick off a very solid night of fights. After going back and watching both fighters past UFC fights is am pick Dawodu to come away with the victory here. I have by decision with about 20% chance he gets a late finish. I see things in Arce that make me think he will be able to get pushed back by Dawodu. Arce is very skilled at boxing and has educated hands and head movement. However Dawodu has kickboxing and uses more limbs in his attack. He is more varied with knees, elbows, kicks and has the power edge. I see him being able to take the center of the cage when he wants and well as push Arce back to the cage. It is there his clinch work and more varied attack will score enough to take this decision. This matchup very much of the Moraes fight Arce lost a close decision. So the pick is Dawodu and at his current price presents value at the betting window. I would stick to a straight bet as possible decision risk could blow a parlay on the first leg. Safer play is straight bet.
