People who preach about control in life never have any.
Their "control" is nothing more than the acceptance of losing. The "we're all gonna die anyway" attitude correlates commonly with those people who speak about control.
"you must control your feelings" said no intelligent man ever.
"don't get upset over words" said no King or Conqueror ever.
Respect & Honor is to decapitate your wounded foe anyway. Pleading, begging, worthy of life or not...in order to truly respect their capabilities, you must annihilate them. Period.
You know why fighters punch unconscious opponents? Honor & Respect. Pity IS A SIN. In order to pity another man, you must first think you are above said man. Wrong.
In a locked cage the ONLY way to truly respect your opponent is to decimate their existence. And you can only do that by applying the skills & techniques you've trained coupled with the proper emotions. You cannot be calm & peaceful in a time of war. You must embrace the chaos.
Genghis Khan shot his brother in the heart with an arrow for stealing food from his home village. That is honor & emotional fortitude. Either you have it or you do not.

I can't seem to figure out how or why anybody thinks Hardy is going to win this fight? The man struggled with Dmitry...who is the worst fighter of all time...I could beat up Smoliakov. Hardy was put in bad spots during that fight....The Kraken is going to embarrass Hardy. Is it because people don't like Adams? I don't get it.

I think it's cause people basically see Adams as the same stand and bang fighter as Hardy.a t least I see it as 50/50 whoever gets lucky and lands first

I see it the same way. Hardy isn't good, he's just been fed guppies. Adams ****** the dog in his last fight but Bullar is a much more rounded heavy than Hardy, who really just has power and basic striking. I think Adams finishes him the second round.

Adams has fantastic wrestling (when he chooses to use it) and I see him using it to destroy Hardy. I'm pretty confident in Adams being able to eat Hardy's shots as well...but we'll see. Should be fun to watch!
Also, 100% @Fish, Bhullar isn't bad at all just doesn't finish fights. Hence why he's with ONE now lmfao. I expect Adams to put Hardy in embarrassing spots and take full-advantage of it.
Of course this is HW so Hardy could walk right up and knock Adams the F out so.

@bruce don't make me switch my pick bro.... Also I get the feeling as we all do that the ufc really want Hardy to be successful so I think they're only gonna match him with guys who won't wrestle him.

For sure @Free, UFC aka Dana really thinks he knows what he's doing. I don't. I don't even hate Hardy, honestly. Was he smoking clowns before the UFC? Yuhp! just the way he should've! But what happened when he felt those bright ass lights? Folded. Redeemed himself properly in his sop****re outing but still showed GAPING holes.
What're Adams holes? (no ****) Cardio....and cardio.
Throws bombs, can eat bombs, will clinch/wear out his opponent, can get back up, can get out of a clinch, can fight in the 3rd round.
Hardy has failed or struggled with just about every single 1 of those things I mentioned above. Did he TKO Dmitry in the 1st round? Yes! Was it awful until it wasn't? Absolutely. IMO there are much better match-ups for Hardy if you're really invested.

I would agree a hundred percent. Who knows what they're thinking when the come up with match ups and fighter rankings and title shots it's complete mayhem! Wished they'd put that on fight pass.

And I'd like to formally disagree with what u said earlier. Masvidal knocked askren out so bad he gave him rigamortis. You don't need no ref to tell u it's over.

Masvidal landed those 2 extra bombs because he wanted to. admitted it at the post-fight presser. "if you dont like it, go watch soccer"
and that's the bottom line IMO. This is the most devastating & vicious occupation a human could choose. NOTHING can be too extreme in that cage. Like blaming the machine-gunner for mowing down a whole village. Its what he was trained to do. Eliminate the target at any and all costs and EVERYTHING besides my team & loved ones are a target.
Ref didn't expect that to happen and was the farthest away he could've possibly been. No blame needed. Masvidal used to fight for nothing but RESPECT in backyards. He will KILL you if need be. Because, that's what grown-men do. UFC isn't a competition. *** is a bout? Its a fight. People get brutalized in fights.

You're not wrong but it's like calling the cops and snitching. It's not wrong to do. But is it?
Askren could've been already dead. Kill the guy for what? Because he made fun of him? C'mon grow up masvidal Should be thanking him for giving him hype for a title shot. In my opinion it shows how weak masvidal is. He won't get no title shot but I hope he does so usman can grind him out like the Cuban jail house ***** he is.
He can try that knee 100 more times and it'll never land. Sheer stupid luck.
Edit: he literally bragged about how smart he was and how dumb askren was. Like bro. U figured out a wrestler was gonna try to take u down right away. Good job Einstein.

I agree with some of that but that "Einstein" KO'd 1 of most imposing undefeated fighters in 5 seconds via devastation.
We've seen what Masvidal did to Edwards backstage ( which shouldve been punished IMO) but bashing an unconscious opponent in a cage? Perfectly fine.
I'm a broken record but....somebody is going to actually DIE in that octagon and I won't even blink nor shed a tear. To die in the UFC octagon would be remembered forever. Legend sh*t.
Idk maybe i'm just too blood thirsty to have remorse but...i'm almost 100% confident that if Santos would've dropped Jones, he would've pounded until the ref pulled him off. Meaning "if he dies, he dies"
