This noise kicks off at 1am ET, dark and early, or dark and late. Idk.

I don't expect to be covering this live, so if there's a savage contrib who wants to toss live results in with a better time zone than I, feel free! Otherwise, I'll toss them in in the morning.

Enjoy!

The Pride events in North America were on a 18 hour tape delay for the last few years.

If someone watched Pride live, it was like a 6-7 hour event.

Does the Ishii loss look fishy to anyone?

Nah, I think Ishii is just half-assing his MMA career. Good money, get some wins, lose some others, see where it takes him.

I had tweeted about this a couple of days ago, but it hadn't been confirmed yet, however it now has been confirmed.

Jerome Le Banner's not fighting Baruto.

RIZIN never reached an agreement with JLB, yet they still announced. Peter Aerts will step in as a replacement against Baruto.

Keep in mind Aerts helped Baruto train for this fight, yet he still accepted stepping in as a replacement for Le Banner against Baruto.

There is a video floating around claiming the Ishii fight was thrown. In the videos it looks like the head kick came nowhere close to landing.  Obviously BenjaminBrandt saw something weird about it. Maybe he was already hurt and just wanted out of the fight but It is definitely fishy.

Could be ... from the slo-mo it didn't look like it was the kick that finished him ... looked like it surprised him and he slipped and then got tagged trying to recover.

I'm not a fan of fight fixing conspiracies, but I guess it I don't really have too much to dispute it either.

Man, what the hell people are talking about. Can anybody share that video. Im gonna go back in this thread to post here the gif. MikeLovesTacos uploaded here. The head kick, at first sight, was partially blocked. Then Ishii got tagged again to fall to the ground.

That's the gif. of the finish. There is no reason to fix that fight. Prochazka is one the top 5 prospects at 205. He is a freak athlete. He was in control of the fight, the short time that fight lasted. The kick drops Ishii ( the kick partially lands - was blocked/partially blocked), then Ishii gets up to his feet inmediately to get hit by a punch that drops him and Ishii at this point is done/finished only to get kneed on the head.
And why would a fight be fixed to make the japanese fighter look bad and not advance. Another thing Ishii could have become "scared" of Jiri's power. That happens in fights.

What had me suspicious was that Ishii caught the end of the kick (toes) and at least partially blocked the kick with his arm.

Also, Prochazka's planted foot had already begun to slip out from under him before the kick landed.  No doubt a hard kick, but enough to knock Ishii to the ground through his arm?

Also, the stanky leg from Ishii seemed a bit "put on".

Just my non-fighter opinion. Nothing that I remember specific to this fight, but there were rumors this week that some of this week's fights might have predetermined outcomes.

@Benjamim I just saw the video people are talking about: https://cdn.streamable.com/video/mp4/7xn4.mp4
I think the way Ishii fell after the kick wasn't as he had taken the hardest kick, he just lost his balance for a second/was surprised by the kick and slipped then got back up to his feet right after. Another thing, let's not forget Ishii reacts poorly to getting hit. Also, if you want someone specific to win this tourney and you fix a fight for that reason wouldn't it make sense to fix the others fights as well, or at least some of them. Now the King Mo, Theodoras, Vadim KO's were fixed as well? I guess the other possibility would be Ishii taking a dive or maybe he wanted out of the fight after getting his shots and tosses stuffed, but i think the finish is legit (he was finished by the punch that sent him to the canvas after getting up from the kick) and I see no reason for this to be fixed by the promotion.

it clearly wasnt fixed

off balance or it partially landed and stunned him. Ishii was finished by a blocked kick from cro cop too, but i didnt hear people crying fix then. it's non-zuffa paranoia. must find a reason to hate/discredit everything non ufc. a mindset that is ruining the sport

Well I won't say it was a fixed fight but I can certainly say it was rather suspicious.

If they were going to fix a fight I don't think they would have Ishii of all people get blown out by an unknown Czech dude. I didn't see anything sketchy about the fight.

It's just how Ishii is, he reacts poorly to getting hit, realized he was ******, and looked for a way out. The main thing I see people questioning is the kick but he doesn't act like it rocked him, just took him off balance. That last punch and those knees were definitely real.
