Wiki
UFC 71 Wiki
After achieving widespread fame for his second victory over Tito Ortiz six months earlier, UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Chuck Liddell hit a roadblock that later came to represent a serious turning point in his career when he lost a rematch to Pride import Quinton “Rampage” Jackson by knockout in the first round in the main event of UFC 71.
The win by Rampage ended Liddell’s 25-month reign as champion. “The Iceman” would never go on to regain the title or put together a meaningful winning streak in the Octagon.
