Really hope this last fight includes one of Matt Brown or Derrick Lewis. UFC 300 not having either of the current leaders in KOs just seems wrong.

Lewis vs. Salsa Boy

Matt Brown vs. Alex Morono

Book one of these as 2nd fight on the early prelims and I think this card is set.

Matt brown vs ponizinibbio would be a banger imo. Both at the end of their careers but both love a good brawl

being totally honest, people were expecting too much from this card but this main event really is low for such a monumental event.

Thought Ponzi might get tapped to be the final test for Michael Morales before giving him a main event, but that's an even better fight for sure. Sign me up.

@onethirtyfiveSoto
I just want to understand. Jones is injured and there are some reasons why Conor can‘t fight. I don‘t know what it is, but it is what it is. What exactly is a so much better (possible/realistic!) main event you wanna see, that therefore doesn‘t involve Conor or Jones? I really don‘t get it.

I think Katter is a nightmare matchup for Sterling, a bigger man who best skill is his counter grappling, whilst also being a pretty good boxer, also Katter is on a bit of a losing streak, so they’re also more well regarded opponent. Also is Sterling kicking and running game going to work on someone who will tower over him.

Pretty confident in Katter

How much will Kattar outweigh Aljo in the cage? Aljo might be heavier. Also there isn’t much of a reach advantage for Kattar in the arms or legs.

I dont see Kattar winning it. I think Sterling will avoid a brawl and win on point while running arround the cage.

Sterling is 5 foot 7 tho fighting a guy who 5 foot 11 In Katter, don’t want to back the guy with a range disadvantage if he gameplan is kick and run, Sterling usually fights people who he a range advantage on which make it more easier. He going from fighting people who are usually all round  5 foot 5 to Katter who 5 foot 11

Even tho that style did work on Katter in the past, those fighter are 6 foot tall being Moicano and Zabit

Yeah Kattar's height is a huge tangible advantage to me. 4 inches is pretty significant

Sterlings style is very dependent on him having a size advantage. He was able to hold people down at 135 because he was massive compared to everyone else, now he’s fighting people the same size if not bigger, so I think he loses a lot of that strength. His tda % was never that good either, I think he’s really going to struggle to get it to the ground against a big, wirey guy in kattar

Pereira vs. Hill
Alex Pereira, TKO, R2
I really like this fight but my only hangup is Hill coming back 8 months after an achilles tear. I think he gets TKO's not because of his chin, but because he gets that leg destroyed in the first round from leg kicks and toughs it out into the second. If he never had that tear I think it would be an incredible fight, hopefully it still is!

Aftermath of UFC 300 Main Event Saga

Predictions: 10 of 13 Winners, 1 Perfect, 595 Points   |   Tied for 2144th

I am sure that perhaps we all had expectations for a Main Event with greater name values and it cannot be denied that Dana White and the matchmakers did the best they could taking into account that Ramadan, injuries and that, for example, Adesanya or McGregor were not for fight in April. I'm also not going to blame Pereira and Hill for being the Main Event, since the obvious plan is for them to fight at UFC 301 at Brazil.

But I sincerely would have preferred if the UFC had tried to convince Dricus and Strickland to do a rematch just 3 months after their first fight, taking advantage of the increase in fame that Strickland has had, which has had a lot of talk about the result of the first fight and that Dricus' Style that mixes K-1 Kickboxing with his Judo Background allows that new fight to be unpredictable.

Maybe, Pereira vs. Hill assures you that the fight will end with a spectacular KO, but there is no mystery: the fight will be 25 minutes or less (most likely less) of stand up fighting. The odds for someone shooting a takedown at any moment of the fight are going to be like +1000!
