How high will Munoz go? Already up to +275
Seems to have multiple paths to victory, many more than a normal +275 shot would?
Let's look at O'Malley's opponents and how they've fared since he beat them:
Soukhamthath - went 1-2 in UFC and released
Quinonez - went 0-1 in UFC and released
Wineland - went 0-2 in UFC and retired
Almeida - released from UFC after loss to O'Malley (lost 4 of 5 going into fight with Sean)
Moutinho - went 0-1 in UFC and released
Paiva - went 0-1 in UFC (easily the strongest opponent and performance for O'Malley)
My point being he has faced some really weak competition, and the only time he really stepped up into someone ranked, he got smoked by Vera. Don't get me wrong, Sean could very well win this fight, but I think the price is absolutely ridiculous and given the amount of kicks Pedro throws, his solid chin, and grappling, if he fights with the correct game plan (doesn't get into a fire fight), he can easily win this.

I don't think Max gets the Do Bronx fight if he wins. Volk will definitely get the rematch if he loses. He already gave Max his third shot now and I doubt the UFC will move onto another fighter if Max wins. Even if this is the fourth time they'll fight. I know Dana wasn't a fan of making the Moreno vs Figgy fight, because we've seen them fight three times already but this is a different situation. However, the match up sounds pretty good to me now that Oliveira has improved so much of his game. Especially his striking. So that would be interesting to see.

I also think he should see which fun fights he can get. As long as Volk is champ, he has to wait in line until he gets "dethroned." It's a pity that Ferguson has lost to Chandler. I would've loved seeing them fight, but I don't see that happening anymore. Regardless, I think there are more fun match-ups to make for Max at Lightweight. So it would not surprise me if he goes up after he loses.

Also Khabib is way off with the fire comment. Unless we are all misunderstanding. You don’t fight Kattar and Rodriguez back to back with no belt on the line if you don’t have fire.

Did Khabib say that? If so, I don't agree either. Max looked really good those two fights. Especially against Kattar, which was probably his best performance to date.

@standard i can agree to the fact that pedro is being slept on but omalley should win i mean lets look at something when has pedro been known to not get into a firefight and swing for the fences i see pedro do it almost every fight and it works 90% of the time problem is sean is too long for  him as long as seans brittle legs dont snap he will win pedro also has a good chin but we have seen him get rocked before and one thing about omalley he has the killer instincts of knowing that and not letting off of you because of that not saying omalley knocks pedro out necessarily just saying sean likely wins and my reasoning for it def a fun ass fight tho

Split I think you need to factor in the size advantage. This is a fight that will be exclusively on the feet as Pedro does not wrestle whatsoever. He’s also a brawler, meaning he takes hits to get hits, which is great for Sean because he can use his massive size and reach advantage to pick him apart. Pedro has literally dinosaur arms so to be effective, he will need to close the distance and use leg kicks (his main weapon). If he lands enough, he can and most likely will destroy Sean’s legs, but that’s not a gaurantee. Plus, Pedro is older and not winning fights. He has a chance but I think the ufc knows this is quite the favorable matchup for Sean

Sean is a smart guy, he follows the division and knew this was a good time to jump on Pedro. He's a big name but like Ayyy said, he's not getting any younger and he's not winning fights. O'Malley is gonna dance around him to a 30-27 IMO.

i feel a finish is live here as omalley wants the bonus almost every fight and thats clear its the same reason he almost always is on a PPV say what you want about him but suga knows how to market himself better then any other BW can and he knows the best way to a fans heart is a knockout

I totally agree. In addition, O'Malley has a really good jab and movement. Munhoz is known to get hit a bunch, especially against fighters with a solid jab. People are saying that Munhoz' low-kicks will play a factor in this fight, but I don't really agree with that. Mainly because of what AyyLmaionnaise just said. Munhoz will have to find a way to lure in O'Malley in order to do it. If O'Malley can keep this fight at range, I don't think Munhoz can make that work. The only ways I see Munhoz win is to find a way to take O'Malley to the ground. If they keep this standing, I think O'Malley has a better chance of winning.

I don't know how other people think about this, but I never judge people based on correct pick percentage or however you want to call it. I rather read/listen to whatever they have to say about the fight, the fighters road to victory or how they think they will match up against future opponents. To give you an example. Dan Hardy is considered to be one of the best analysts in the game, but he has been wrong on many occassions when he picked fights. So that percentage really doesn't have much value. As you said, MMA is super unpredictable. There has been so many upsets. This card has potential to have some upsets as well, because some of these fights are close on paper. At least, that's how I see it.

I know he has solid BJJ. It's something I mentioned in earlier pages up here. He just hasn't been able to show his ground game yet. He competed in Quantet Ultra about 3 years ago and considering he was still green back then, he impressed me. I think it's fair to assume that his ground game has improved a lot since then. That being said, Munhoz is really good on the ground and I have no doubt in my mind that he will be the better grappler of the two. Again, that's just assuming, since no one up here really knows how good Suga's ground game actually is.

I’d give Pedro a chance if he was not 5”6 with a 65 inch reach. Someone like Chito can hit O’Malley with much more ease than Pedro. I highly doubt O’Malley KOs him but I see a clean sweep on the scorecards
