I may well be underestimating him, I have picked him to win, just feel nervous! But I am glad to hear you say so, makes me feel a little more reassured!

Mmmmmm. Not really sold on Mokaev. He can definitely win, but the odds of Cody spoiling the party could be possibly greater than people realize...

Allen vs. Hooker
Arnold Allen, TKO, R1
Feel bad for Hooka, the cut ends up weakening his chin and Allen has sneaky power and speed. Similar situation to Cody No Chin except Dan won’t getting tucked in with his pacifier inside of the cage. Calling a weird TKO stoppage in this one.

Volkov to drag Tom all the way down. I like to see it.

Pimblett vs. Vargas
Paddy Pimblett, SUB, R2
Paddy probably gives the fans what they want......

Nelson vs. Sato

Nelson should get it done if he's vintage.

Volkov vs. Aspinall

I’m sorry, but Aspinall is gonna smash this man.

Allen vs. Hooker
Arnold Allen, DEC
Weight cut does a lot to you.

Pimblett vs. Vargas
Rodrigo Vargas, TKO, R1
Same thing here. I also really want Paddy to lose because he’s so ****y.

Nelson vs. Sato
Takashi Sato, TKO, R1
Don’t kill me if I’m right! This stuff happens all the time! Heavily hyped guy gets KOd by a random guy. (Ex. Buckley vs Di Chirico, McKinney vs Dober)

McCann vs. Carolina
Luana Carolina, DEC
Given the fighters Carolina has upset, I think she will get another upset.

Herbert vs. Topuria
Ilia Topuria, TKO, R2
This should be a battle for however king it lasts.

Anyone else have a sense that Abrek has a chance at winning with him & Pavlovich being ex training partners? I get the feeling we may see another Moroz-Agapova scenario, with the more experienced fighter completely outclassing the younger ex training partner 😓

ModestMan if Shamil wasn't 107 years old and could take a punch then yea maybe he'd have a chance. A former training partner may be able to exploit certain weaknesses but fighters evolve every fight, I can see a Pavlovich low pace low volume decision at worst

I haven't seen this many big favorites on a UFC card since Blachowicz vs Teixeira in Abu Dhabi last October.  On that card, 12/14 favorites won, the dog winners were Teixeira and Oleksiejczuk.  Islam was -500, Chimaev was -500, Ankalaev was -400 and Ulanbekov was -400.  All of them ended up winning that night.

The only issue with the massive favorites on this card is that there are valid reasons why the lines may be overpriced.  For example, Paddy Pimblett is still a new fighter in the UFC who always get himself clipped in every single fight.  Gunnar Nelson has been inactive for 2 and a half years.  Muhammed Mokaev is making his debut in the UFC which may come with jitters.  Ilia Topuria is moving up in weight fighting someone with better striking than his last 3 opponents.

That said, I do think they will all win.  I have money on all of them. But compared to the Blachowicz vs Texeira card, I'm not as confident now as I was last October.   Anyway, let's hope all of them win so everyone makes money.

If anything the fight that’s most likely to have a moroz/Agapova moment is paul Craig. He’s a glass cannon and shouldn’t be favored by 80%. Sure, he can pull off the upset but krylov is the more well rounded fighter

Yeah the big upset scenario I’d lean more towards is Nelson having ring rust & gets KO’d, similar to Ponzinibbio returning after a long layoff, Ponzinibbio would most likely smoke Jiliang now

I hate diving on upset narratives though, I like to pick an underdog who I think is simply the better fighter, the safest coin toss dog here is Shore imo
