The odds for Ricci vs Oliveira is kinda absurd in my opinion. It's a really hard fight to call. Ricci is like a -230 on most sites, I see some value in Oliveira as a +195 underdog. Both has beaten mostly cans, Ricci obviously lost to Fiorot a weight class up, who's very good. Then Oliveira's 2 recent losses are to Marina Rodriguez a title contender and Kanna Asakura who's one of the top fighters at RIZIN. I thought Oliveira didn't look too bad against Asakura at first. I could see her beating Ricci, but this is a hard fight to call. The odds are absolutely smashed though, no idea why Ricci is a -230 favorite. I would place maybe a small bet on Oliveira just for the value.

I'ma definitely throw a little bit of money on Costa Vettori going to decision. Vettori is both sides of this. I seriously doubt Costa will do any dominant offensive grappling against Vettori, so his main gameplan will be at distance, and where vettori has a chin from hell. On the other side Vettori doesn't really have a finishing style on the ground or on the feet and it's not like Paulo hasn't shown good durability in the UFC, especially if you take away Izzy ko who dominated both guys.

It looks like it's opening at -125. I bet that gets worse quick. If for some reason the public gets it the other way I'll double down at like +125

Holy God imagine trying to hold that juicy boy down 🤣

Unless Costa's footwork gets him taken down, I can't see him getting out muscled by Vettori. Nonetheless getting held down for rounds at a time, Vettori doesn't have that finesse with his takedowns; he tries to out muscle people down which I just don't think that'll work with Costa at least in the first 2 maybe 3 rounds but def gotta watch more tape on Costa's takedown D and getups.

Costa is going to throw a lot and miss, run out gas, and get subbed or beaten to death in roughly round 4.

He's a hype job.

I'm really surprised Ricci is such a massive favorite. Neither have fought and won against high level competition, Ricci's best win is 2-3 and Oliveria's 2-0 four years ago, but at least Oliveria has over double the experience and is the taller, longer fighter. Is there something I'm missing or not seeing in Ricci?

Burgos is ******

Predictions: 2 of 2 Winners, 1 Perfect, 140 Points   |   Tied for 3106th

I love Shane Burgos! Awesome fighting style, total game as **** badass ***********er. Love em’. Can’t wait for Billy to **** him up silly though

This matchup is kinda strange on paper, their both very different in how they approach their gameplan: Attrition. Cept’ Burgos approaches with his hands down so he can tear at the opponent’s body and stuff takedowns, while Billy just runs forward and uses an all rounded style to exhaust you both mentally and physically. Seems 50/50 on paper, but I believe Billy’s stamina is on another level compared to Burgos. He almost never slows down, while Burgos tends to struggle when the fight isn’t going his way. Billy has a bad weakness against opponents with solid lateral movement, which Burgos, thankfully, has ABSOLUTELY ZERO of. Literally walks straight into the fire, chin up and hands around his nipples, so he’s basically playing Billy’s game. Burgos is also a bit of a slow starter, while Billy gets right to it and never stops. Billy is also very good at using takedowns from the clinch rather than shooting for the legs, a technique Burgos is particularly exceptional at defending against. I see Billy clinching him against the fence and chipping away at him for two rounds before ripping him a new ******* in the second half of the match.

Staropoli vs. Pickett
Laureano Staropoli, DEC
Not confident especially since Staropoli has dropped his last 3 fights but Pickett is also on a 2 fight L streak so I mean anything can happen. Staropoli can get taken down, he can get controlled in the clinch but he is good at being able to limit ground control and damage too because he does a good job at getting back to his feet. pickett should come with a wrestling heavy approach but I don't know if he has the ability to control Staropoli and Staropoli is a far superior striker than Pickett, he's faster, got decent counters and his kicks are very good. Picking Staropoli because I feel he can control the striking exchanges here

My 2 cents worth

Predictions: 8 of 14 Winners, 2 Perfect, 480 Points   |   Tied for 1540th

Vettori - I think Vettori will grind out Costa to a decision win. His wrestling base and the fact it's a 5 rounder will help him.

Dawson - He's been looking real impressive and should have the clear edge here.

On the prelims.

Herbert - Although he got finished by Trinaldo in the infamous 'STOP THE FIGHT!' fight, he was looking good before that and he's a technical and entertaining striker with KO power.

Also is Mason Jones fighting on this card? He seems a great prospect.
