@Tieoken

Well, I wasn't expecting "can we get this **** over with so I can get back to my food?" to be one of the thoughts but it's certainly interesting to know! Thanks!

My Predictions for UFC Fight Night: Edwards vs Muhammad

Predictions: 7 of 13 Winners, 3 Perfect, 470 Points   |   Tied for 1025th

Feeling fairly confident in these picks for some reason ... Def might tweak a few methods/rounds for certain fights before 5 pm EST , but i like most of the winners i've picked

Semelsberger has KOs on his record/KO power and Jason Witt is very mediocre and has been
KO'd many times in the past(4 to be exact and sub'd 2 times) , so don't be afraid to pick Semelsberger by KO/TKO. Also Rojo is known to gas late in fights and has a couple 3rd round submission losses so thats why i took Jourdain by late submission.

Edwards vs. Muhammad
Leon Edwards, DEC
Let's break down the main event as we see the long awaited return of Leon "Rocky" Edwards take on the surging Belal Muhammad. Both of these fighters sport 18-3 career records and have very similar numbers in terms of cage time and UFC experience. That, however, is where the similarities end. Edwards, at least statistically, seems to have the edge pretty much everywhere else. In terms of striking Muhammad is the busier striker landing 4.6 SS/Min compared to Edwards 2.4 but the ratio of SS landed to their opponents gives the edge to Edwards slightly at 1.23 to 1.2. Belal is busier but Edwards slows down fights and absorbs very few strikes. Edwards has the power edge as Muhammad still hasnt recorded a UFC knockdown yet while Edwards lands .33 per 15 minutes. In addition to that Muhammad has been knocked down .55 times per 15 minutes while Edwards has only been knocked down .08 times per 15 minutes so according to that statistic Muhammad is way chinnier. Edwards has a better TD percentage than Belal (31% to 28%) but Belal lands slightly more per 15 minutes (2.03 to 1.39). Edwards controlls his opponents 27.5% of the time and gets controlled 23.4% while that ratio for Muhammad is 23% to 2.7%. THis numer is skewed because Edwards fought Usman and got controlled the majority of that fight. The major difference here is the level of competition these two fighters has faced. Edwards has faced the much tougher, and more experienced competition. With Belal stepping up to take this fight on short notice, and knowing how much damage his calves took in the Lima fight, I cant support putting my money on Belal here. Edwards is a safe parlay piece at -275. I'm picking Edwards by decision.

So Misha Cirkunov vs. Ryan Spann kinda hard to pick IMO.
Sub or KO, don’t think this will go to decision.
Still flipping back & forward on this one.

Cirkunov vs. Spann
Misha Cirkunov, SUB, R1
This is going to be a fantastic co main event. Both of these dudes thus far in the UFC have fought like they were double parked. Cirkunov and Spann both have average fight times under 6.5 minutes. Cirkunov is the busier and more accurate striker here but if this fight stays on the feet it will be Spann who has the clear path to victory because of the power differential. Not only does Spann have more power in his strikes, Cirkunov is infamous for being chinny as he has been knocked down on almost 2 percent of the strikes landed against him which is very high. The path to victory for Misha is a quick submission. Misha completes around 60 percent of his takedowns and Spann looked to have a horrible weight cut. If Misha gets on top of Ryan, I think its going to be a short night. FDGTD is another really safe parlay piece in my opinion. I'm picking Misha by 1st round sub due to the grappling advantage he has combined with a horrible weight cut for Spann.

Ige vs. Tucker
Dan Ige, DEC
This is going to be a fantastic fight. Both of these guys are trying to make a run in the featherweight division making this a crucial fight for both of them. Ige has the experience edge here and is also the younger fighter and he boasts a 5 inch reach advantage. Thus far in their UFC careers Tucker has been the busier striker, their accuracy is very similar and Ige has the edge when it comes to the ratio at which he lands in respect to how he is landed onand Ige also has the power advantage. Dan also has the edge in terms of having faced the higher level of competition in his UFC career in comparison to Tucker. This is going to be a big step up in competition for Gavin so I'm very interested to see how he handles it. The area where I see Tucker having a slight advantage is in the grappling. Gavin goes for more takedowns and completes more than Ige does so perhaps if Gavin can keep it close on the feet and complete a couple of takedowns and accrue some top control time he could pull out a decision. I am going with Ige here, I think he has too many advantages in important areas to be ignored here. Tucker is super tough so I see Ige by decision being the bet I am going to target here. This is a potential FOTN for sure.
