Vannata needs to completely reevaluate his approach and style. He’s so predictable and they have his timing down pretty clear now too. I thought the first and third were closer than others seem to but the right guy clearly won.

I was torn on this one. I often like to pick the local Massachusetts fighters out of loyalty, but I think Assuncao is too strong all-around.

@swain I only kind of half agree. Vannata isn't a power striker, so if he limits his output in favor of shot selection he would in all probability be worse off than he is now. That's pretty much why he just lost in fact;he waited for an opening against a guy who hits harder and has better pure boxing. He wins when he outworks people.He should have gone after it. I also wouldn't call him predictable. It's not like he's diego sanchez. He does mix up his attacks and has very good switch kick transitions IMO and has sneaky shovel punches from middle distance.

I don't think he looked himself tonight. Never really got out of first gear. I'd like to see him improve his conditioning and use his wrestling and grappling a little more.

@ Money I like Mikey but it's also not cool to subvert the house rules. You gotta respect the ban. I'm sure I'll do something to piss Greg off enough one day and will earn one, and even though I have a VPN I won't use it to subvert punishment.

There's got to be some kind of order. I don't agree with the amount of time Mikey was hit with, but it's not my site. And from what I gather it wasn't the first infraction.
