I have it Even Brooks didn't do enough on top and just held on while Dieveson landed better shots and had two close submissions.

Those were not close chokes, he was punching instead of defending and got out quickly.

20-18 Brooks
He is using his wrestling really effectively. Figueiredo needs to stop trying to go for submissions off his back.

How is Brooks fighting off these submissions so easily? Also that German Suplex was dope.

30-27 or 29-28 Brooks. Solid performance by him, needs to improve his striking though.

30-27 Monkey God.
Excellent performance by Brooks. Figueiredo looked good, despite the fact that got tossed around almost all 3 rounds.

Gooden is just so dreadful,I understand i'm beating a deadhorse but the problem is is he's commentating more events consistently, and I hate to say it cause i'm a DC fan,but did he take adderall tonight? He's a little off and for the most part the first time he's actually annoyed me a bit as a commentator. He was probably instructed to be a little more whatever, but I don't like it.Great event though,I can't wait to watch how this unfolds and ultimately I don't think it'll all bother me.
Edit: I don't disagree with the decision, but it was super close.

I don't agree with that result, but Brooks did nothing with the takedowns and got tagged a lot in the stand up, so... whatevs...

WHAT?!?
That is an absolute garbage decision. Absolutely garbage. There is no way Figueiredo won that fight. By any metric. He didn't do enough damage to win that. That is highway robbery.

If fights were judged how I wish they were, Deiveson would win, but that's not how it is so that's a robbery. Props to him for acknowledging he didn't do enough to get the victory.

Neither looked good (definitely a LOOOOONG way off of challenging DJ), but still. How did the Brazilian (can't remember his name) win?

I had it 29-28 Figueiredo I thought he definitely won the 3rd and eeked out the 2nd. Brooks tried to LnP and it cost him.
