Yeah I'm not saying Brandao gassed, I just never saw the shot that hurt him. He just started having the thousand yard stare and cowering away from Conner like a little puppy. Very weak competition for the GOAT

@skelliher I'm not blaming his loss on the fact that he gassed. He was pretty clearly outclassed. I was saying how ridiculous it was that he didn't even show up in good enough shape to go hard for a full round.

meh He still hasn't beat anyone really notable, don't get me wrong he is quite good but I don't understand the ridiculous wall of hype surrounding him. Post fight speech was pretty good though.

By the way, Brandao didn't even have time to gas out ... he was fresh as a daisy but was fighting a god ...

First time watching UFC fight pass. I was impressed with quality of picture. Great fight between Ian McCall and Brad Pickett, great sub by nelson and great KO by McGregor. Overall some great finishes. Overall A+

@zarog, what you're not getting is that it doesn't matter how good your conditioning is when you get rocked. He started backing off when he was getting slammed by straight lefts and a wheel kick to the dome.

But anyways, just making the point that some pp are gonna hate no matter what the kid does because of expectations.

Where was the hate for Poirier when he got dropped by a fat, out-of-shape Brandao and then won in a manner similar to Conor. Conor DOMINATED Brandao worse than the No. 6 guy, and clearly fought a Brandao in WAY better shape. It's crazy not to compare those performances.

Good night for Ireland.  Entertaining fights, their home town fighters all performed. Great energy from the crowd, it just bumped everything up a notch.

@skell He was tired the second he got McGregor off of him and stood up. He was clearly slower than when the fight started. I'm not hating on Connor's performance, he did exactly what he was supposed, go out there and dominate. And yeah, he looked better than Poirier doing it. Speaking of which, McGregor/Poirier sounds like a great next fight (I'll be picking McGregor as I don't think Poirier can get him to the ground).
